What is a good replacement for old glass storm window?

Our grand parents house from 1970's has these glass layers that sit outside the window frame, they replace them with mess layers during summer and use glass ones during winter. I believe they are called storm window! It's just one layer glass fitted into a thin aluminum frame. The glass is cracked, I am thinking to replace them with something durable, lighter than glass but withstand Midwest weather.

Any recommendations on best alternatives and where to get them? Should be clear and transparent like glass but stronger and light in weight so grand parents can handle it without breaking the storm window or their back.

Thanks!

Recyclable oil filters on Accord any good?

All my life I only had accord. Last week I changed oil on my friends Toyota rav4 and the filter system is interesting. The filter itself is an assembly and you can open it to replace just the filter material inside instead of the entire part. I am certain a lot of people here know about it. It was an ah ha moment for me and I thought it was neat. I searched if there is an option like that for Accords. Looks like there is a filter assembly where the whole filter will come apart, every oil change we clean the inside mesh and put it back together and voilà you reset it. At lease that is what they are marketd as.

I am sure I'm not the only one who looked at those filters and others might have done some research as well, probably used them! So wanted to ask a larger audience here to see if anyone would share experience using them or knowledge gathered on them.

If they are as good as they are marked and fit for daily use, I am thinking to use one on 2006 accord with 14K miles.

Must see places and things to do in and around Door County

I am planning a trip to Door County from South Milwaukee. I have been to Door County once a couple of years ago but didn't see much besides a few of the nice beaches. You know how you phone tracks you all the time, so after my last visit I started getting ads on social media showing places in Door County and felt I messed a lot of good things in my first visit. I want to do it right this time. So I am looking for suggestions on must see places and things to do in, around and on the way to Door County so I can plan my trip.

Places like parks, museums, beaches, view points, etc. Or any other things I should consider adding to my list.

Thanks!

Ojo de Liebre Lagoon vs San Ignacio

Ojo de Liebre Lagoon vs San Ignacio which is the best spot for close up whale interaction?

I read that Ojo de Liebre Lagoon brings more whales but not sure if they actually come close most of the times! I also read that depending on the boats the whales interact because of the company/boats/captain know how to approach whales gently! I don't know how much of it is quality info but that's what I read.

Any recommendations on boat tour companies? I also read that one can hire a ride once reaching the place and that there will be plenty boats available!

Anyone can explain the process for taking a trip to close watch whales? I am not planing on going with a traveling company where they do 3 or 4 night stay, that would be toomuch for me.

Depending on location selected from Ojo de Liebre Lagoon and San Ignacio. I will have to plan my travel, it looks like drive is the only option!

Besides Ojo de Liebre Lagoon and San Ignacio are there any other locations i should look into?

Thanks!

How to farmers who don't have machines plant and harvest?

Hello WI farmers,

I drive from Milwaukee to Green Bay and from Milwaukee towards MN occasionally, prity much South to north, east to west and vice versa in the state depending on the reason. I notice beautiful farms all over the place, especially today's drive to Green Bay with cloudy weather made the farms look extremely beautiful with crops started to grow. I notice houses on a huge farm lands but I don't see machinery like combine harvesters or tractors, etc. I wonder how do farmers plant corn or other crop through out the hundreds of acres of farm land! I do see some farms has a huge barn which I assume where the machinery is stored but most of the farms doesn't have any barn or any sign of equipment but just a house with couple of cars parked on the property. Sometimes I see a tractor or two, plowing and seed planting attachments but no other machines.

How do these farmers plant and harvest their crop? Do they rent the equipment when needed or is there an option where they can contract out the work related to machinery?

Hikes in Lofoten islands.

How difficult are the hikes in Lofoen islands to reach really good views?

I saw some comments from other posts but they are specific to certain trails. I know I have to earn the breath taking views by hiking but I am trying to findout does all the hikes involve steep climbing or are there any hikes or locations that are achievable for someone who don't hike a lot.

Fel-Pro valve cover gasket Blue vs Black

2014 Accord, 2.4L

I ordered Fel-Pro valve cover gasket for a 2014 Honda Accord in 2025. The gasket came in blue color which I read at the time was the recommended item (Fel-Pro Blue valve cover gasket). I ordered the same part now and i got Black one.

I researched and found that Blue is premium silicone and Black is high-quality fluoroelastomer (FKM) or synthetic rubber.

Before I go ahead and strip engine apart and say "aaaah f**k", I want to get an opinion from experienced to see if one is better then the other or it doesn't matter.

2022 Ducati Icon oil change.

I am seeing some posts say that the Hex could get easily strip off and Torx is best to use but others say Torx is not trusty worthy for torquing. Before I loose the game I want to seek experts opinion.
