I'm on my first Fallout 4 playthrough and I absolutely love it.
But walking through the commonwealth made me notice how little fauna has survived. Yes, I know, game and time restrictions.
So I wondered, what other animals would you add?
I vote for the humble and noble pig. A staple at everyone's BBQ and it was mass produced.
So, i would add 2 variations: the Domesticated Porker or Rad-Pork, originated from farm pigs.
A thick leathery pale rose hide and a set of tusks. People would breed them for meat but also use them to let them dig up soil for planting crops.
The porker's hardened snout and its tusks are phenomenal for digging in soil.
They are almost blind and rely on their sense of smell.
Porkers can basically eat anything and don't get sick of iradiated dirt and crops.
Then there is the Razorback. Originating from feral pigs or wild hogs, their name ain't just for the tuft of hairs on their back anymore.
Instead those are chitinous scales that go along the back of the animal.
They are a bit smaller than a brahmin and they roam the wastelands in packs.
Their tusks are long, sharp and jagged and grow their whole life.
These critters are not to be trifled with and they can easily gut you and tear you into ribbons.
Old lady brought us a literal box full of older cameras from her late husband. She just couldn't toss them.
So now we have a few more cameras,a storage problem and more stuff to mess around with.
And luckily most of these still seem to work.
Only 2 cameras that don't do squat are the XG-M and the X300s.
Lights are on but no one is home...
Gab es meine ich immer bei Lidl im Sommer.
Hab ich ewig nicht mehr gesehen.
So, I'm at the point of the game where random vertibirds start appearing and having shootouts with hostiles.
Of course sometimes they win, but then and now they are fighting against a high level hostile like a cybermech tank bot or sentry bot.
I sometimes swoop in, hack the bot to rile it up and vanish again and watch them duke it out.
It usually ends with 2 dead BoS dudes in power armor and a downed Vertibird.
As soon as the fight is done, I run and scrap what's worth scrapping.
I know, I'm a sneaky little wastelander.
So i was on my round to fix what needs fixing (beds, safety, houses, food etc) and was doing some fieldwork on the barren lands of that one coastal settlement when I checked the stats of each settlement.
The Visitor's Center had not enough beds, so I fast traveled there to quickly remedy this.
Well as soon as I arrived, a random gulped walked over the parking lot.
Of course I killed it, but then from all directions gulped and their variations came in running, along with a "settlement is under attack" notification where you have to go and help them.
Well, none of the settlers helped and none of the turrets worked, so I had to go down a lot of mutant salamanders .
Like the yard was covered in it.
Cait didn't help either.
What the hell was that?
I was beginning to worry that the move into a new pot and the addition of a mosspole was too much of a shock for this little Thai Constellation. But thick air roots started growing into the moss pole so I figured she was doing something.
And 2 days ago I saw that "sheath" finally opening up and revealing a fresh new tip.
This leaf is going to be a beauty, I just know it.
A few weeks ago i bought the aforementioned set. Fun and cute build and neat figures. But that subway car looked so weird. So i started Stud.io and tried tweaking the design.....which ended in me building my very first rail bound Lego vehicle completely from scratch. So i started a bit of research. Every train buff knows the scene in the Spiderman movie this set is based on was made in Chicago...and the rolling stock was a Chicago specific model as well. So i browsed the internet and decided to base the design of my build heavily on the MTA R32 type that were widely used in that era and are kinda iconic. I know, the lights are horizontal. I tried a bit of mixing things, also it was easier to build.
So, what do you think of the design so far?
Europe is currently boiling, but i keep cool thanks to these two Elemental Masters.
My daily driver was stolen right in front of my workplace.
Old 2013 Btwin Rock rider. Nothing special but it got me from A to B.
Luckily we sell used bikes in our thrift shop so I got this little beater out of it.
A more upright seating position might be better anyway for me.
A while ago i posted a few pics of the uncovered facade of the old department store facade in the German city of Offenbach.
Obviously a lot has been lost (the corner building was razed and replaced with a concrete cube) but things are progressing slowly.
Can't wait to see it finished, though I suspect it will take a while.
Found this fun Steven Universe easter egg in a season 3 episode...i think it was episode 10.
Was ordering some Lego pieces from Lego, including a few animals (birds, sheep, orca whale) and just noticed I've got what looks like a blue Jay and a cardinal bird.
Too bad there's still no Lego racoon animal (well, apart from various Rocket Racoons from the Guardians of the galaxy)
Those two are cute together, right?
I've watched the game being a pop culture icon, memes, people making references but I never really cared for it.
Heck, the guy that build my new pc for me 3 years ago even installed Minecraft on it just for shits and giggles.
And I absolutely ignored that desktop icon.
Then last year the movie happened. Honestly to this day I never watched it.
Chicken Jockey here, I am Steve there....it was kind of exhausting.
But it also peaked my interest.
What is it that people swarm to this game....why do people like it?
FYI, I'm also an adult Lego Fan and collect/build Lego, including my own stuff.
One day I walked past the Lego isle and saw a small Lego Minecraft set on sale.
The creatures on the box looked kinda fun in their own blocky way.
I bought it....I mean in the end I at least could use the parts.
So I started building.
It was fun and kinda cute.
Then I looked at the Icon on my desktop again.
"Oh what the heck...no harm in trying it at least."
So i fired up the game, started a creative mode savegame.
Huh cute...I can build a house....guess that's neat.
Oh cool, some little fellas and critters walking around.
Ha, I can plant trees.
Then I closed the game and started a little research. How to properly stop zombies from killing villagers, how to build portals and so on.
Now I have my own little village with tons of villagers, explore the far reaches of the map and enjoy the ambient music, the colors, the almost meditating vibes and I absolutely love it.
It turned into a sort of after work ritual to open the game after a stressful day, enjoy the ambience and the process of transforming a little village into a busy place and exploring the far reaches of the map.
Thought i would post my top 4 favorite build configs....i know, i´ve got a weird taste.
