My guy Luiz did an absolute banging job fixing this egregious error from my GC's.

• The plan we went with:
  • Fire my GC's
  • Move the 2 bottom drawer tracks up so they align with the trash cabinet
  • Cut the top of the cabinet doors and move the door hinges up to fit
  • Install the standard toe kick to cover the new gap
  • call it a day, wipe my tears, and look forward a better tomorrow

Hola carpenters and actual professionals. I had made a post about this in r-cabinetry (post) about my ongoing kitchen remodel. We've just installed the frameless cabinets and my main issue right now is a misaligned tall pantry. As you can see the top of the bottom drawer does not align to the top of the pull out trash drawer base cabinet.

The pantry is a 96in pantry (last slide shows elevations) but clearly my ceiling was not the height assumed by the designer.

Most people have been saying that the contractor/home Depot should replace this with a shorter pantry, 93" or 90". OR literally cut the top and the doors to the correct height and adjust it to align.

That's why I'm here asking the true carpenters.. if i didn't really care about voiding warranty.. how you go about cutting down to size? How much would it cost to hire a carpenter to do this for me?

Any advice against this option?

I have a tall pantry that sits next to a base cabinet (trash pullout) and the top drawer on the pantry does not align with the top of the base cabinet as I expected when the contractors installed them.

The pantry is maxed out to the ceiling and sitting on wood blocks. HD Design and measurements are in slide 3. Kraftmaid Full Access Bern

Is there anything I can do or suggest to the contractor to address this? Or do I have to suck it up and live with misaligned frameless seams.

My main ideas are cutting (not ideal) or simply adding some kind of trim piece on the bottom of the base cabinets to cover the gap on the bottom.

edit: contractors are the ones who measured and gave final measurements to home Depot designer and ordered. I'm just out here trying to move back in after 2 months+ of construction

My ol gal Leah (9yo Lab/Heeler), is having a heck of a time with our new baby. Any sign of distress from the baby triggers the dog to no end and she is constantly barking and squealing like all good heelers do lol. Any suggestions other than the basic google answers for some tired parents?

Fun late night experimental update - Model Visualizer (beta)

This new feature on the /models page showcases each model's unique driving style in a C4 visualizer with a simulated 3 lane road with straights, twists and bends. It's far from a perfect representation of reality but I hope it helps you get an idea of how the models generally 'behave'

I've also recently added a full screen model simulator where you can adjust settings on the fly and see how it affects the driving behavior - just click the fullscreen button on the top right of the small simulator thumbnails.
