My mom 70 has osteoporosis (spine t score is - 3.1).... She seems to be in constant pain... Randomly any part of her body starts paining...

. I came across recliner chairs that have full body massage functions. Has anyone any experience with them in pain relief???.... . They aren't marketed specifically towards osteoporosis and are said to be for general wellness, so the salesperson didn't have a clue if it's actually of any use...

.... . Obviously not a cure but on a daily basis does anyone find that this helps in any way at all... Or is it just the opposite, all the vibration somehow causes more pain? ...

Most people i know love forest essentials. I'm no exception. I feel their fragrances are very "Indian"... Like they smell traditional, not sure if it makes sense

.. I haven't purchased their proper edps but I've tried them in stores.. I didn't particularly care for any of them.. Infact I've tried them like three times now everytime hoping that something strikes but nothing... Their body mists on the other hand are just love.

I bought their set of 4 body mists: one thing, all these mists are pretty linear. They smell the same from start to finish. They don't change or develop much

🌷 Oudh and green tea. : I generally hate oudh. I find it too strong and heavy. Atleast in ME frags. But here it is beautiful. I haven't seen oudh being paired with green tea before. The whole mist is light airy fresh. My absolute favorite of the lot. It's my no-brainer happy summer scent. Doesn't last long though. But i happily reapply

🌷 Jasmine and saffron :. Again, generally i find saffron too sweet and cloying after a point. But here it is very light. Just to mellow down the jasmine. You can't smell it on its own.. The jasmine isn't loud. Summer scent. Really good. Need to reapply but less than the green tea one

🌷 Nargis. : apparently a fan fav. I liked it. But after an hour it became too much. It started to irritate my nose. I actually started sneezing. Had to finally change my clothes. I think it is something I'll enjoy as a room fresher rather than up close and personal on myself. It is much stronger in projection and longevity than other mists. Almost like an edp. My lowest rated on the list. It was Just too much

🌷 Rose and cardamom : very very Indian rose. Its not like the rose of other foreign edp/mist. It smells like those rose flowers ki tokri that you find outside mandir freshly sprayed with water. Don't smell cardamom though

There are others i tried over the years but i don't remember much to review except pomegranate and kerala lime which was a very different scent from the usual and i used to love.

These are both fragrances that inevitably are in any of top 10 designer perfumes list you have come across in the past 2-3 years.

This review is for the prada paradoxe edp and the ysl libre edp. (not the flankers)

Backstory - I had earlier blind bought the libre la parfum and Prada paradoxe intense and i reacted so badly to both that i had to sell them off 🤦 So logically i shouldn't be in the same pincode as their mother but then intelligent decisions are not my forte. After scrolling through yet another reel hyping them, i decided to get the OG formulations because spending money needlessly is the secret weapon to convince myself that my life is under control. How did they fare? Let's find out

Both are FABULOUS. ❤️❤️ Seriously go for the og edp versions bec the intense/la parfum/ extra unicorn versions are not for Indian weather with our heat and humidity. They feel cloying and heavy. The original edps for lack of a better term, rock!

... Initially people will be able to smell them on you as soon you enter the room before they turn milder and closer to you (though never a skin scent)... You don't need a lot... 3-4 sprays of prada and 2-3 of libre is enough... They both last for a good 5-6 hours on my skin and i can still catch a sniff of them on my clothes after a full day.

Hmmmm.... Can anyone see any overlap? Can you? Can you? ... Review in short, They both smell bloody same 😭😭😭

Orange vanilla. That's their common DNA. Orange-y White florals on top. Vanilla and musk in the base. If you spray both on one hand each and sniff them one after the other, your nose will shut down and you will not be able to differentiate between the two. Your nose just won't cooperate. You have to sniff one, take a pause and then try the other to make out the subtle differences. They are NOT dupes yet they are so close together. It's like twin children. Both have similar origins yet they have their own personality. 😂

I googled the difference between Neroli and orange blossom and was informed that neroli has a clean, cologne-like bite while orange blossom is rich and sweet. Except in the actual perfumes, this claim is completed inverted. Prada paradoxe despite being Neroli centric is warm and soft and cozy. Ysl Libre despite being orange blossom forward has almost a cold, metallic cut. I'm figuring that lavender is the reason for this sorcery.

I also don't get jasmine as a separate note in either of them. They are both wonderfully blended in terms of how smooth they are. but you won't get a lot of change throughout the day. What you smell after say 30 mins is how they'll remain till the end while getting fainter.

If you are the kind who isn't a fan of edible vanilla gourmands and orange makes you happy then get one of these. But No need to get both. Its superfluous. They are too close together. Which one? I honestly don't know. I smell prada and think this is it. I try the libre and then think this is the one. Just try them in the mall and get whichever one strikes your heart immediately. Of the two, i personally think Prada paradoxe is a safer blind buy.

Dupes/alternatives

This is such a good dna that i went looking for a dupe. Because never let rationality overpower the capitalist urge for overconsumption.

Bbw petal parade is a spot on dupe for Prada paradoxe. I don't know how they did it. They probably stole the formulation through corporate espionage but they have nailed the fragrance. You can't tell the difference at all. It lasts less than 30 mins but spray liberally and often and you are good to go

Golden decade by zara is said to be the dupe of ysl libre. It is. But not immediately. Zara does have a very synthetic blast initially. Not alcoholic but artificial. Initially it will hit your memory that I've smelled it before without smelling like a perfect dupe. But the dry down is where is resembles the libre alot. Performanc is 30 - 45 mins but super economical.

These are honestly great perfumes. There is a reason why they are so so popular and some of the highest selling perfumes of the respective houses. It is a very appealing dna which is very well crafted. Maybe Not something a niche perfume lover will enjoy. They might find it generic (bec atp almost every house has something similar) but for the rest of us A+

I've been wanting to try kanzan for ages now. Every review mentioned that it is subtle, unique almost skin scents which was right up my alley as I'm not a gourmand lover nor do i want loud perfumes. I just love sniffing the perfume on myself.

After glowing reviews i finally got the discovery set which had chapter 1/2/3 and passage 1 from their website.

There is no point in reviewing individual fragrances so I'm reviewing the "house" as such. I've tried all but 3 vials of passage now. I just can't take it anymore. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I want to stomp my feet and yell like a four year old. I hate it. I don't remember the last time i got a 20 frag discovery set and did not love even one

Its all one very big generic mess. You can catalogue all their fragrances into 4 - vanilla, citrus (floor cleaner variant) , powder, soap (detergent not luxury) . That's it. It doesn't matter what ten notes that they have mentioned, one of these is likely to stand out and stand out in a bad way. They smell synthetic, generic, old and cheap. I can't explain it better. They smell cheap. Like those free perfume vials you got in diwali mela games 15 years back.

Also they are sticky. I have used mists, edp, parfum versions, attar, essential oils but none have felt so sticky and almost glue-y on skin. Also they 'feel' sticky. Like not airy. I wanted to scrub them off 5 mins after i sprayed them

Even the ones that weren't outrightly bad, like Madurai jasmine, matcha, they were just ordinary. You could find 10 fragrances at every price point that smell the same

Tbf, i think it's probably something in their base formula that reacts badly to my skin bec i can't imagine why i dont like any of them when they are so positively reviewed. Everyone can't be wrong. But they didn't suit me at all.

On the plus side, they are beautifully packed. Despite being close almost skin scents they did last long...more than 4-5 hours.. And...... That's about it... If anyone doesn't want to try the whole house, get chapter 3, that's the most decent of them all.

P. S. - the only fragrance that kind of interested me was tigers in paris. But it soon became a powdery mess. If anyone has any suggestions for a saffron + Sandalwood fragrance please do let me know. I don't think i have anything in this combination
