Some of the regular halves were legit melted like where the nickel layer was easily peeling off. I’m thinking I should have my bank send the rest of the box to the federal reserve as part of the uncurrent coin redemption program.

Pretty sure the contents of this box went through a house fire

Every one is charred and some have blistering or melted copper. Must have been recent given the Semi-q half. Normal half on the left for comparison.

[wts] My treasure chest overfloweth, so help me clear it out of the 40% Kennedy halves

Proof https://coindex.app/a/f8aM8C

After serious CRH, I somehow ended up with a ton of 1967 40% silver halves and need to make room in my treasure chest.
Selling two lots of 10 40% half dollars for $95 each lot including ground advantage shipping (on me!). Let me know if you would like to buy less and we can discuss shipping. I have every other 40% half year if you wanted a selection of dates.

Thanks!

Is this 1877 seated dime bad enough for a 1 grade?

I’ve recently been looking for the worst coin as a fun side collection project. If I sent this in for grading would it get the lowest score possible?

[wtb] the last four quarters needed for my kid’s book 1949P, 1949D, 1955P, and 1955D.

Proof! https://coindex.app/a/kOPxyO

Just looking for average looking quarters matching what is in the proof pic. Spot looks like 46x face right now (but please correct) and can either send you the shipping label or add on the equivalent amount for you to purchase.

Venmo is the easiest but can also do Zelle.

Thanks y’all, you’re making kid really happy.

Update: who does this?

Every roll was faced the same way so clearly searched. But who leaves NIFCs and early 1800s half dollar-sized coins in searched rolls?!?!??

Who does this… and how?

They’re so tight in the roll, how did they even get everything back in? Any chance this was a malfunctioning rolling machine? Should I just turn it back in without opening them up?

Should I have bought this? If so, I’m going to a coin show tomorrow, should I do the live submit for grading?

Does this look like full bell lines?

Found in the junk bin at the local gold buyer shop. I’ve never seen a reverse this clean on a non-proof.

Update: the Tibetan Fu Dogs marked “silver” were 90%/coin

Took these bad boys to get sigma tested today and was very happy with the result that they are squarely 90% silver. I paid $25/oz for them.

How much material do you remove from casted pieces?

I’ve been practicing green sand casting on pewter and found I have to sand the hell out of it to get certain parts smooth. When I feel confident enough to switch to silver, does it behave the same way with little imperfections in the cast. If so, do I need to set up a silver dust recovery dust buster to be able to finish them? Bonus pic, My first sand cast that brought up those questions. It definitely still needs some more sanding and polishing. I’m just happy that it turned out.

Started picking out bicentennials for some reason and now I have 25lbs ($500). Dump em?

Sorry to anyone getting a whole box of bicentennials after Loomis wraps them

Pawn shop find for $40. Besides reverse of 79, anything else interesting?

I’m trying to see if there are any VAM varieties and around what grade this might get (for learning purposes). I’m guessing XF? Would the small scratch on the wing make it “details”? Thanks!!!

Real funny getting my hopes up with a silver-plated rim after 6 skunk boxes.
