Airflow tips

Just built this two days ago

I have put the top fans as intake

And rear as exhaust.

Temps are around 50c when idle and 80-85c at 70w use

7800x3d with ag620g2 cooler.

I guess i wont be solving anything...

Long story short... I still need ram😔

https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/1vejsat/i_will_single_handedly_solve_the_ramcrisis/

but anyways here is my first pc i built myself

upgraded from an rtx2060s r3600 i sold last year,

failed in the cable management department though.

specs:

deepcool ch160plus

7800x3d

aorus b650m elite

saphire rx 9070 nitro plus

16gb sodimm with adapter from my fathers laptop

512gb gen 3 from an old broken laptop we have

deepcool pq1000g

3 deepcool fd12 v2 fans, (need help with best airflow setup for now i set the top ones intake and the rear exhaust with slightly higher rpm than other fans, temps are good)

costed me about 1250usd + 180 for the screen since i didn't buy the ram nor ssd, i was saving for too long and actually planned to finish this long time ago but things happened and it got delayed till yesterday.

my problem is the sodimm to uddimm adapter didnt workout as expected and seen from videos in youtube, i have a micron 16gb 5600 cl46 but it just failed to boot anything past 4000 and the stablest speeds were at 3400mt/s which is very bad + its only single channel, i tried setting timings manually to jedec, i tried disabling and enabling a bunch of things in bios but nothing(i didnt touch voltages since i dont want to break the ram or adapter), at least it runs at low cas latency cl28 (as you can see on second image) but the bandwith is very low i will face a lot of problems probably in games, anyways i put some benchmarks on the third image+ so you see they are not terrible but lower than the average, next thing i will try is looking for a pc seller if he would want to trade my 16gb micron with a 16 sk hynix or even better with an 8x2, anyone with tips i would be glad to hear them.

for now Ill use this for a while and id consider it a win since i dint pay for the ram anyways, only the 15usd adapter.

another misshap for me this year (tbh i expected this wont go smoothly), guess we will wait for a couple more years or for someone with stronger voodoo but greater willpower to solve this😔
glad to be back in the pcmasterrace.

rx 9070 nitro+ and ch160plus with normal full atx psu

build i plan:
7800x3d (already bought)
saphire nitro+ rx 9070 (already bought)

Cooler Master Elite Gold 850
DeepCool AG620 G2 Black ARGB
CH160 plus or ch170 plus (i dont like the vertical form factor too much tbh)
ASRock B850M Pro-A

maybe 2 fans or 3 fans, i cant put a fan in the front of the case because GPU too big if i go with ch160plus. (either arctic p12 pro pst, or deepcool fd12 v2)

i dont have much options for mff cases, i can get ch260 but i want the smallest case that can fit my gpu and matx motherboard.

question i want TO ask is about fans, how should i put them for best airflow,
if possible i would like the quietest setup possible.
second question/request if anyone is kind enough, can you lookup ultrapc.ma for anything that might be better for me in terms of everything.

I need help to make this working!

This basically Lets you play ps5 games using ps4 controller.
obviously haptic feedback and things that doesnt exist on ps4 controller wont work.
Currently is only working on 11.60 probably
to help me port this to as much fws as possible
i need you to inject this payload and get me logs.

When a test finishes, use BFpilot, FTP, or another PS5 file manager to download this directory:

/data/ds4tod5/

The important files are:

game-pad-bridge.log
game-pad-bridge-last.txt
game-pad-bridge-status.txt
game-pad-bridge-supervisor.txt
native-pad-compat-last.txt

download the whole folder if possible and If a files does not exist, that is useful information; send the files that are present. Zip the downloaded files and send the ZIP with the PS5 firmware version and the game that was running to nblurf@gmail.com .

A PS5 media and video player that also functions as a complete media library, with support for subtitles, multiple audio tracks, aspect-ratio adjustment, cropping, and many other playback settings.

You can add an entire folder to the library, and it will be treated as a TV show or series. If that folder contains subfolders, for example, separate season folders, they will appear as seasons inside the show.

If you add a single video file, it will be labeled as a movie. I may add an option to manually change the media type and naming later if people find the current behavior inconvenient.

If your media is already organized this way on a folder or USB drive, you can simply browse your files, press the controller touchpad to enable media selection, and then press Square on the folder you want to add.

Connected USB drives can be found under:

/mnt/usb0 through /mnt/usb7 as usual

At this stage, most of the functionality is working, but I need more people to perform heavier testing. Contributions are also welcome, so feel free to submit pull requests on GitHub.

Star the repository if you find it useful, and any feedback is appreciated:

https://github.com/ItsBlurf/BFplayer

i will soon add option to play videos with custom subtitles.

If you want something that is currently working ignore every build after alpha 34. Alpha 34 is the latest stable build Otherwise if you want to help with testing you use the latest build and it will be much appreciated

I built an open-source Codex-native job search assistant with LaTeX CVs and ATS checks

I adapted the idea of an AI job application workspace into a Codex-native repo.

It lets you:
- build a grounded candidate profile from your own documents
- rank job postings against that profile
- generate tailored CVs and cover letters
- compile LaTeX PDFs
- run ATS text extraction with pdftotext
- track outcomes and improve future applications

I made it strict about not fabricating skills, dates, employers, metrics, or education.

Inspired by and adapted from MadsLorentzen/ai-job-search I rebuilt the workflow around OpenAI Codex with Codex skills, validation tools, LaTeX/PDF checks, and clear setup instructions.

I’d like feedback on the workflow design, README clarity, and whether the Codex skills are structured well, and any kind of improvement.

battery health dropping way too quickly

I'm just wondering if a battery replacement will really fix this or is the problem not with the battery but rather something else like some battery controller or something.

i bought this second hand and it was imported from Netherlands when I asked for battery replacement when it was still under warranty they asked for the laptop to be present in Netherlands but Im on africa sadly.

I released v0.3 some time ago but forgot to share it here.

this is the same file manager but with better compatibility with firmwares and some UI changes,
now it reports used disk space and lets you add shortcuts for frequently visited DIRS
so you can transfer to them quickly later.
im working on adding archives extraction here right now alongside another tool that is essentially a link grabber tool like jdownloader on pc so you can download directly to ps5 and have your laptop pc free.

BFpilot v0.2.0 released — PS5 light browser-based local file manager, formerly BS5FileManager.

It’s a lightweight PS5 browser-based file manager payload with a home-screen launcher tile, dark UI, upload/download/copy/move/rename/delete support, progress with speed + ETA, safer cancel handling, Its local and its different from FTP.

Added and fixed in this build:

  • Renamed the project, web UI, PS5 launcher tile, notifications, and release binary from BS5FileManager to BFpilot.
  • Removes older BSFM00001 / BS5F00001 launcher tiles during refresh.
  • Keeps reinjection handoff compatible with older BS5FileManager listeners on port 5905.
  • Upload progress is fixed now, from the web UI shows sent size, speed, ETA, file count, and current filename.
  • missing target folders are created automatically.
  • Injecting the payload refreshes/installs the PS5 launcher tile without auto-opening the browser.
  • Cancel handling is safer during scan, copy, move cleanup, and delete operations.
  • dark themed now

Inject/deploy port: 9021
Web UI port: 5905
Launcher title ID: BFPL00001

STARME if you dont mind.

BS5FileManager v0.1.1 - Lightweight PS5 browser file manager payload

I released BS5FileManager v0.1.1.
this has been inspired from the elf arsenal file manager.
but for me elf arsenal wasn't too stable and the ui is overwhelming and has too much noise.
so i made this that fits my use better.
FTP clients are very slow if you have an external drive to use to transfer large files/games.

It’s a lightweight PS5 browser-based file manager payload focused only on file management. It does not include extra daemons or unrelated tools.

Main features:
- Web UI served on port 5905
- PS5 home-screen launcher tile
- Browse PS5 filesystem paths from browser
- Copy/move files and folders PS5-side with max speed
- Transfer progress with size, speed in MB/s, ETA, item count, and current path
- Rename, delete, create folders
- Upload files/folders from browser
- Download selected files
- Shortcuts
- Launcher state stored under /data/BS5fm

Usage:
Inject bs5filemanager.elf to your payload loader on port 9021, then open:

http://<PS5_IP>:5905/

Repo:
https://github.com/ItsBlurf/BS5FileManager

Feedback, bug reports, and testing on different firmware setups are welcome.

Cross-platform payload injector GUI

Hey everyone,

I made a small cross-platform Payload Injector app for sending payloads more easily.

Its Cross platform as It supports:

  • Windows .exe
  • Linux .AppImage .bin
  • Android .apk
  • Source code for running manually

Main features:

  • Choose a payload folder
  • Enter target host/IP
  • Default port 9026, but editable
  • Inject selected payloads or inject all
  • Organize order of payloads
  • Set delay between multiple payloads
  • Saves your last used folder, IP, port, and delay

I made it mainly to avoid typing commands every time and to keep payloads organized in one simple interface.

Feedback, bug reports, and suggestions are welcome.
