europe safety systems are badly working, unsafe (suddenly steering "back into lane") and wonder if commas can disable them. we are allowed to disable them. the manufactorer unfortunately has to re-activate them at the start of every drive. and tesla didnt make a shortcut to quickly disable them.
hi all, as everyone knows, autopilot and adaptive cruise control on tesla's suck, tesla is even removing AP from new sales in some region and even the fsd package does not offer improvement to having a relaxed drive. you either get well working self driving, or you get bad old software, basically.
so im considering upgrading my Model Y Standard with a comma AI device, but have some questions:
is there a installation guide for a clean install or dirty install if its much easier? how much work is this? i already opened the side passenger door to install enhance s3xy devices to the obd ports.
How is the pilot engaged and again disengaged, and how do we tell it to change speed if needed, can this be done with the scroll wheel?
Is this using battery when the car is sleeping?
I notice most experiences and videos are in the US. How is this working on Europe roads? Roads with no middle lines, but only on the outside? passing cars on roads with no white lines at all?
How is recognition of traffic signs and lights nowadays? i would like it to stop for red lights and continue on green, and change speed based on signs, not map data.
can tesla stop this from working with updates?
is the camera next to the screen enough to see cars passing so it can switch lanes? as it has no real camera on the sides and back? or is this risky and dangerous to switch lanes?

i think it was but wanted to ask fellow fox enthousiasts for confirmation.
attached the 4 products you need to buy.
open the right side wiring again where the s3xy strip is. disconnect the power cable red and black that goes to the s3xy strip. now find a third party cable so you can daisy chain, or simply as i did, cut the s3xy strip cable(make sure its disconnected) then solder or cable connect the wires from the module in photo. since the cable is only 1m, you need that extension cable. you could also buy a female female extension cable instead then you dont need the adapters. connect them all together again and boom, you have a s3xy strip and a wireless charging pad next to your tesla screen for your phone!
if anyone is curious, you can ask away.
make sure the step down converter is the voltage as shown. 6 or 10-24v is also fine. i wouldnt buy lower then 20v.
unfortunately, crossing the speed limit chime isnt the only hurdle we have in europe, we also have the "advanced driver distraction warning" that makes sense on paper, but once again is extremely sensitive and nervous making.
the speed limit chime already beeps at you for just crossing the speed limit for 1km/h. and the advanced driver distraction warning vibrates the steering wheel and makes sounds when you are for example looking at the side window or the screen for too long (3 or 4 straight seconds) but i also noted if you quickly check the road then back to the screen, its not always registered and you still get the warning.
the thing is.....the S3XY Commander does NOT allow us to turn this off! tesla does allow it, but by eu rules we have to turn it off every time we get back into the car! so the commander would just need to flip this switch for us automatically at every drive, just like the speed limit chime.
i really hope this feature is added soon....
PS: the EU wants to also require cars in europe to automatically brake if you cross the speed limit, for cars being sold somewhere in 2027. this can be circumvented but only temporarily and will obviously be made annoying and frustrating.
hope the enhance team reads this and can comment... it sounds simple...just flip a switch automatically. its not like we are hacking something or cheating on anything.

in immich on android i can select folders to backup to immich. but then we are talking about "camera" as a folder. i would like to organise it into a album about the phone i took the photos with. is there a way to auto backup "camera" on the android device automatically to the album "My phone name" on immich server side?
also does the app run on the background? no need to manually start the app or back up?

i recently made a big post that im never getting a Chinese vivo anymore, there was lots of problems with it, and im wondering if its the same with oppo...
the problems i faced with vivo:
- slower notifications at random times. sometimes instant, some and most of the times 10+ seconds. sometimes even up to a minute.
- no Google backup. making backups worked but couldnt restore those.
- meta horizon app not working no matter what i tried.
- no Google location tracking history.
- general app trouble. sometimes stuck loading, have to clear cache etc.
this is with all tricks and settings applied already such as Battery saving disabling, autolaunch etc.
for the rest i know im gonna miss our on esim...but anything else?
i love huds on other cars, and we got 25.different instrument cluster displays, led strips and a gazzilion other mods, but no heads up displays that project on the windshield...
i dont get it, everyone wants such a product.
i so, so much love the big, fat battery in the x200 pro, the smoothness of the UI and above all the amazing cameras. but il be downgrading to the pixel 10 fold, because i cant stand the huge load of trouble this phone brings to western customers. i already applied all tricks to make apps work the best they can.
- notifications arrive seconds to nearly a full minute too late at random.
- home assistant app requires constant force close- relaunch in order to work properly.
- meta quest horizon app doesnt work at all. and yes ive tried everything already outside of a factory reset.
- google deciding to block google pay for chinese phones for around 3 weeks.
- signal showing bubbles on screen from texts and seemingly no way to get rid of that.
- the o2 network in germany not supporting volte on this phone with no way to fix it.
- smart data switching feature for dual sim not working.
- the epic origin island feature only working for system apps....and spotify.
- generic app trouble. sometines have to clear cache or data, never had that on eu+-phones.
- googles circle to search and ai in general features not integrated, neither a proper way to do so. (circle to search us possible but had to set it up again after a reboot)
at least my two banking apps always worked without trouble. integrity is also all passing so they should work.
other chinese phones are also meh because most of them dont support android auto, no esim support on any, no ultra wide band support on any except xiaomi.
im going to miss the cameras a lot.

i had foldables. the samsung fold 2 and 4. they both didnt open fully anymore after months due to dust getting into the hinge. wondering if the dust resistance is the real deal now.i see on youtube that dust still gets in, but wonder if you then clean it somehow.
or does it not really make a big difference vs the s fold 8 or razr fold?

The meta horizon app(needed for meta vr headsets) is not working no matter what i do. many apps need force close and restarts to become stable again. i cant use a sim provider because volte gets disabled.
I mainly want a xiaomi 17 ultra for the UWB, so im curious if this works for tesla's and for UWB tracker tags? the europe version does not support UWB for whatever reason.
Gemini seems to think the issues are because certification/compatibility isnt the best on my vivo phone.
