How to apply hot glue thinly so that paper does not bubble?/look sloppy 😣❔

I hope today is an OK day to ask. I love putting miniatures together, but I have a hard time with getting my glue to spread thin enough, especially for wood parts. Any advice? :(

I hate my type

I feel myself constantly wanting to run from the truth, persuading myself that maybe I’m actually a 9, but at the end of the day I know what I am.

(22F) Made some changes since I last posted. Is lefort (and/or jaw surgery) the only way I can ascend?

I think I look OK from the front but when I turn my head, it’s over

Are CapCut voice characters AI?

I’m not talking about the text to speech generator. (Obviously, you are generating something.) My impression was the voice characters are simply a filter that goes over your audio. Is this wrong?

Feeling defeated

I’ve been trying to learn how to airbrush LPS customs. (originally tried hand painting, but despite watering down paint using flow, improver, etc. the streaks did not improve). But it seems like every step I take I go three steps backwards. Is this just learning?

I originally tried airbrushing on an LPS, but the paint didn’t stick so I got some Vallejo primer. I airbrush on the primer and let it sit for 24 hours and I noticed that in some spots is a bit clumpy and it peeled off really easily. One of my other pets I did turned out fine and I hairbrush on it only for my gun to just start spitting everywhere. Made sure the needle wasn’t clogged took it all apart put it back together and now I’m out of acetone.🫩💔 please tell me it gets better from here😭

Was I in the wrong here?

long story short someone on mercari was selling their 2046 that i was interested in buying. she agreed and said that she would take my offer for it but then just stopped responding completely. i kept messaging especially because i've been looking for a 2046 in the united states for a very long time. i noticed that she updated the listing today and i messaged again. she then said i was being pushy and making her uncomfortable after not replying to me at all after making this deal. i feel like i was not the rude one here but maybe i was being pushy? i'm not sure.

What bullying does to a mf [12] pics 1&2 [16] pic 3 [22] pics 4-6

growing up i was always made fun of for my appearance, told i was ugly, etc. i learned how to do makeup, style my hair but it did take me a while. i would say that i've gone from ugly to average. it's crazy the difference in how people treat you.

Being an ugly woman is cruel unusual punishment

Let me clarify, it sucks to be ugly no matter what gender you are. both sides suck for different reasons. I just want to share the female perspective since it’s my lived experience.

as a woman the first thing you are judged on and your highest form of worth is your appearance. men historically have been viewed as successful via their career, finances, charisma, etc. whereas women have always been judged on our beauty. think of the term "trophy wife". having a beautiful wife is literally a bragging honor. of course things have changed but a woman's appearance is still the very first thing that she is judged on to value her worth.

all these social media trends always involve a woman's appearance, always new terms and guides on how to dress for our body types to either display them or hide them. of course this is common knowledge. being an ugly woman is the worst thing you can be. we do have an advantage over men that we have makeup but if you wear too much makeup you get scrutinized. it's never-ending and the cost to try and upkeep is unrelenting. we spend more money because we have to for our hair, clothes, etc. and then as a gender we are labeled materialistic and vain. every single day we are bombarded by these beautiful women with money, amazing bone structure that they don't have to pay for, constantly reminded how we're not enough. if any woman complains about it men always jump on there and say "oh well you guys can get any guy you want". Women are invalidated at every turn. it always has been this way and it always will be.

How can you truly determine whether you are a thinker or a feeler?

I saw this example and it has me stuck. I've determined three of my functions but thinker or feeler is where I'm having trouble. The thing is in a lot of scenarios that deal with work, I definitely lean into thinking. but there are a lot of scenarios where I lean into feeling.

One example I heard today was-

you are a Marvel superhero and you have the choice between saving one person or three people. The problem is they didn't specify anything else. They didn't say whether or not the one person is someone you know, versus maybe it's three people that you knew.

there are just so many factors to determine this. If it was between one person and three people, both of which I did not know, I would save three people. If it was between, say, my favorite person in the whole world and three people I didn't know, the choice would be pretty difficult and I would probably choose to save the favorite person. I can think rationally about why I would choose that choice. Obviously I don't know what value the other three people bring whereas my favorite person I would know for sure that they bring value to the world. I mean I could be saving three murderers for all I know. Objectively it could be the rational choice but I can also look at it and understand that if the goal is to save as many people as possible then it would be feeling. If the goal was just broadly to save people I feel like I could manipulate myself into thinking it's a rational choice. Is my brain just exploding or do I need to just look at a different example?

Is my acrylic brush cooked?

Long story short, I didn't realize that some acrylic powder dried on my brush. I let it soak in monomer for about three days, then I washed it with water and dried it with a paper towel. It was still sticky, so I continued dry it. I went in with a cuticle pusher to kind of push it off and finished it with some cuticle oil, but now the ends are kind of frayed and I'm worried that I ruined my brush! I'm a beginner, so please don't be too mean!

is my boss doing what's necessary or making it unnecessarily difficult?

So I started working doing house cleaning with somebody. The caveat is that all hardwood floors need to be hand mopped. I don't have a problem doing this kind of work but the issue is that both of my hands have tendinitis. Though I can hand mop I can't do it for extended periods of time or as quickly as I think she wants it done. Not to mention the rags are not microfiber so if I pick something up with the rag a lot of times even if I wring it out it still ends up stuck on the rag and ends up on the floor. it's just a struggle. (Meaning more scrubbing and repetitive motions are needed to clean it up.) I'm thinking about bringing a mini vac and I'm wondering if this could really help but these areas are so large that I just don't know.

I asked her if it would be possible to use a Swiffer or a mop that can hold a microfiber towel with a handle so it's less hard on my wrists but she said that her customers don't like it because it leaves streaks. She also said that most, if not all, of the customers do have cameras in the house, which makes sense, So even if I bought one, I don't think it would fly.

The thing is it doesn't flare up my hands at all if it's a smaller area but I'm doing this in houses that are majority hardwood floors...The materials that she uses are just regular washcloth-like rags and then the solution is water with a little bit of fabuloso

It really sucks because this is the first job l've had that pays more than minimum wage and I would hate to give it up. Is she doing what she has to do or is she stuck in her ways?

The thing is I want to start a cleaning business but if this is the way things are, I don't think my dream is ever going to come true 😣my second job I clean

commercially and i never do it this way, but again I understand housekeeping and commercial cleaning are very different :(

EDIT: I vacuum the floors before I mop them. (Funny enough, she said that she just mops a lot of them and vacuums after to save time). I thought that was ridiculous. Also she doesn’t have any gloves either.
