Is there a connection between ME/CFS or chronic fatigue !symptoms!, and wanting to eat sugar all the time? I have chronic fatigue symptoms (and suspected ME) and I could legitimately be munching on chocolate or candy all day, every day, and that’s what my body seems to want. I gotta assume it’s a metabolic thing, because to my understanding simple carbohydrates convert into energy quickly.
Basically title. I take magnesium for three main reasons: to help me fall asleep/stay asleep/maintain energy during the day because I have insomnia and chronic fatigue; to improve my mood and irritability; and to help against muscle cramps and Charlie horse.
So I take magnesium bisglycinate every night before bed, but I’ve been getting awful bloating and gut pain from my IBS, at night and in morning. It’s interfering with my sleep. Should I take a different magnesium? I’m trying to pinpoint if that’s where my problem is or something else
Kind of a weird one but I’m tinkering at a short story (or novel, idk, still in the developmental phase) about Tantalus and Sisyphus. An adaptation of those myths. Merging them a little bit...
I don‘t really want to call my MC Tantalus because I feel that gives a lot away right at the start, so I’ve been looking at alternatives. A couple websites say that Tantalus is occasionally referred to as Atys, but don’t have solid sources for that. When I Google Atys or Attis I get stories about another Greek myth figure, some dude who castrated himself at his own wedding or smt.
Anywayyyyyyys just wondering if Tantalus was ever called that and if so where, and if not, any other name suggestions?
Basically the title, I wanna update to 26.6.1 so that I can get GarageBand to make a custom ringtone. But I’ve heard sometimes those updates make older phones run worse or shut them down. And I’ve heard there’s some weird liquid thing? Idk. I’m currently running iOS 18.6.2. I have to delete some apps to make room for an update so I want to make sure it’s worthwhile
Even if I’m cold before, as soon as I lay down I’ll have a few minutes where I’m super hot and there’s a weird painful burning sensation. Like I don’t want anything touching me, even my bed, pillow, etc because it burns and I get overstimulated. Blood flow or smt right?
I have multiple illnesses but I figure it’s a dysautonomic thing
Hiya, I’m a teen living alone for the first time and I have no idea what products to use to clean my bathroom and kitchen counters. I was using dish soap for the shower and sink, and a generic Lysol spray for everything else, but I just found out that it isn’t disinfecting so I think that’s not what I want.
I took a look at the cleaning supplies section of the store and I just got overwhelmed because there are so many options. And multiple different types of everything, Windex original, Windex disinfectant, Windex vinegar; Lysol spray, Lysol bathroom foam, Lysol toilet bowl cleaner, etc.
Could I have a rundown of exactly what products and brands to use for each part of my bathroom, and what to use for my kitchen counter?
Google seems to have conflicting information and not the answers I’m looking for, so Reddit it is. What are Frontier’s guidelines for portable chargers/powerbanks/power blocks? Is it okay for me to take one on the plane in my carry-on?
And if it is allowed, is it advisable/safe for me to do so? I do not want to start a fire.
Was strollin around my Sasau Corpse Pile and some of them reanimated.
Also, my horse got stuck in the church and jumpscared me.
Some shots of the Corpse Pile for size reference as well
Hey. Not sure if this is the right sub for this but I’ll give it a try. I can move it if necessary. I’ve never posted in this sub before.
I’ve been dealing with nightmares almost every night for months, almost a year now. They’re unrelated to actual events in my life though often feature people who did abuse me in real life (my mother being a dominant figure in some of them). That said, most are just loopy nightmares that feel feverish and intense and don’t seem to make any sense, but produce strong sense of anxiety or fear that linger when I wake.
Up until recently I’ve always attributed them to the melatonin I take before bed, but I’m coming to terms with the idea that they might be rooted in my childhood trauma. I won’t go into too much detail but I was emotionally, medically, and psychologically abused by my narcissist mother and some of my siblings for my childhood before I moved out at sixteen, a little over a year ago.
I have OCD and generalized anxiety, and self-diagnosed c-PTSD which I will probably never get a real diagnosis for due to my medical trauma.
The reason I’m bringing this up now is I feel like these nightmares are increasing in frequency. It used to be once every 1-2 weeks, now it feels like every night. They’re feeling more intense too. The other night I dreamt (TW) that I was stalked and repeatedly r*ped by a man who, in the dream, was apparently my sister’s boyfriend, and in the dream she had to come to my rescue. This never happened irl. I don’t have r*pe trauma and I haven’t seen my sister in over a year. The boyfriend she had at the time was actually one of my favourite people, despite my sister being one of my abusers. As far as I’m aware the man in my dream didn’t resemble or correspond to anyone I actually know irl.
Most of the dreams are more related to humiliation than actual violence, or weird creepypasta-esque dream horror simulations (I don’t watch creepypastas or horror media) but they always produce a lot of fear and anxiety. It gets to the point where I really dread sleeping, and I get a lot of anxiety at night before falling asleep, which is unfortunate because I used to love sleep. Sometimes my maladaptive daydreaming kicks in and my brain produces daydreams to try and calm me down to fall asleep, but then I still usually get the nightmares once I do fall asleep.
I guess I’m just wondering what all this says about my psych and if there’s any way for me to improve this. I don’t want to have nightmares all the time. I don’t function well without lots and lots of sleep because I have EDS and chronic fatigue.
When my fatigue flares my digestive system largely stops working and I really struggle to eat, even though I have to. Or the process of making food itself feels too exhausting, especially when I have light/sound sensitivity. I end up suffering more because I skip meals when my body needs the nutrients most. What are some recommendations in that case? I know meal replacement shakes are the obvious answer but they’re way out of my price range, I usually don’t spend more than $2-4 per meal if I can :/ I’ve been looking at dollar store baby food as an option maybe?
Bowman’s Brew, Poison, Digestive Brew, Marigold Decoction, Lazarus Potion, Artimisia, and Saviour Schnapps, possibly more, can be made just by tossing in the ingredients in order and then finishing the potion. It’s great for XP farming and all of them only require three ingredients.
I’m doing the Nest of Vipers sabotage quest right now, and I’d like to do a massacre but my stats aren’t high enough right now for anything other than jumping into a wagon and using my bow. Which I do often to clear Uzhitz and Sasau so I really like to. However there are not many wagon options. There’s one in the bandit camp filled with barrels so it doesn’t offer any protection from the sides, another in the back of the bandit camp that I can’t jump into, and a wagon in the Cuman camp behind some tents that I can’t jump into. That’s the one in the photo. And a bunch of wagons turned onto their sides. Is there a way to climb into it or like stack inventory objects to lift myself?
For my third playthrough I decided to do things differently and I went to Uzhitz to read and get a horse before ever going on duty with Nightingale. I also massacred a few hamlets, but that’s water under the bridge.
Anyways, the story of the hunt with Hans was almost totally different when I had a horse. Rather than him >!getting captured and having to find and untie him!<. he was >!injured by Cumans and I had to fight them off immediately after the cutscene ended!< because I was able to ride after him and the boar. There was also a long dialogue tree on the ride to the campsite that I appreciated because it seemed to grow their relationship somewhat. I could be wrong but I don’t remember that dialogue there from before I had a horse.
Anyways, I just love the endless detail Warhorse provides and that sort of “Choose Your Own Adventure” vibe
They always push posts about places where I live and I never hit like or upvote but they always show up
If try during the day the guard attacks me and/or the shop owner runs to get more guards. If I try during the night, there’s no merchandise to steal. What am I missing?
I woke in Rattay with Theresa (3rd play through) after the burying parents quest and already had a price on my head. What??? I didn’t even go near Rattay until now
Edit: playing on my Switch
About a week ago my housemate with a stealing problem, among other issues, came in with a friend or two and packed up most of her stuff and left. I got home while it was happening (I wasn’t given any warning, of course, but whatever).
I’ve long since learned not to leave valuables around because she takes anything that isn’t nailed to whatever it’s laying on, but she still left with two of my three good knives, a frying pan, and a spatula of mine because most of the packing up happened while I wasn’t there. Probably more that I just haven’t noticed yet.
After that she left and didn’t come back. The landlady had told me that she’d be moving out by the end of June, so I assumed that was her doing so. I revelled in my new freedom to leave my bathroom products in the bathroom, cleaning supplies in the kitchen, mobility aids in the boot room, sleep without earplugs, live in a clean space, leave the tabletop stove unplugged overnight, and turn the lights off in rooms with no one in them. Among other things.
Anyways, last night, after midnight, she returned. Turned on all the hallway lights and immediately started blaring music in her room. I had to get up out of bed and grab all my bathroom products and valuables, put in my earplugs to sleep, turn lights off so the landlord doesn’t get mad, etc. I’m an insomniac so it wasn’t appreciated.
When I got up this morning I realized I hadn’t been thorough enough because she’d messed through my cleaning supplies and ruined some of them, left cloths in sodden heaps on the counter soaked with red ramen stains, put dirty dishes on my clean ones, left all the lights on again, and stole one of my bowls, some cutlery, a pot, and the bathroom soap. 😒 I don’t know if she’s still here or if she left after that.
I won’t rest easy until July.
I am not bed- or house-bound exactly, but I do spend the majority of my time resting in bed. My energy is carefully budgeted for my outings because I don’t have a car and have to walk most places in order to eat and live. As a result, I spend a lot of time in bed in a dark or dim room, observing some kind of low-mid stimulation media. Does anyone have recommendations for very binge-able shows with lots of seasons and episodes? I really like sitcoms and dramas. Gossip Girl is my favourite—and easiest for me because I’m familiar with the plots—and I also like Young Sheldon, Gilmore Girls, and Seinfeld. Not big on animated shows.
EDIT: I don’t really like shows with dark, occult, or violent themes. I prefer feel-good sitcoms and dramas. If it’s too violent or dark or has a lot of witchy stuff personally I find it stressful or disturbing and I can’t watch it. I don’t mind magic as long as it’s not like really dark, idk.
