Does netipot help with minimizing allergy symptoms ?

I think I developed a dust mite allergy earlier this year. It's been awful and my nose is clogged often. Sleeping at night is especially awful because I can't breathe with how bad it gets

Im very new to having this issue and I was wondering if netipots have helped for you guys? Or if taking allergy meds is the best option? I just wanna sleep at night without having to prop myself up 45° 😭

Help with psoriasis and dust mite allergies

I feel like I'm going crazy and any input would be greatly appreciated. Earlier this year I developed a dust mite allergy. Thankfully summer + using a neti pot helped significantly in decreasing its impact on me (it was really bad during winter and spring).

But I've been doing a big clean of my space these past few days and sweeping caused the allergens to go back in the air and I'm suffering again 🤧

Since they exist from eating dead skin cells and psoriasis gives them an endless amount, I was wondering if you guys had any tips to minimize this issue? I feel so awful 😭🤧

Just finished day 2 of cleaning my room

I finally finished day 2 of cleaning my room! I tackled the big piles/sections in my room between the previous day and today (bed, under bed, desk, pile of clothes, pile of other stuff, and closet). My room is still quite messy but I'm getting closer to seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and it feels incredible!

My worry is losing momentum and being complacent to the current situation being good enough because the laziness takes over. But not having to walk over random stuff to get to the other side is giving me so much motivation to keep on pushing 😭🙏

I can't wait to read this back when my room is clean (hopefully by the end of the week) and I can take a big sigh of relief 😭😭🙏

Keep a small bin with you when cleaning

I wanted to share this tip that helped me clean my desk. Despite it being for working, it became more of a spot where I'd put anything and everything I didn't wanna deal with/wanted in easy access (it's beside my bed).

Ive been pushing cleaning it for quite a while because it had so much random stuff that I just didn't want to have to organize. But I finally found a way that worked for me!

Instead of going around my room everytime I pick up a new item that didn't belong there, I remembered a tip someone mentioned about keeping a box near your door for everything that doesn't belong in that room. I decided to use that idea on a smaller scale and took a small bin/box and put everything that didn't belong on my desk inside it. Now the bin is full, but I was able to clean my desk quickly and can focus on putting these items away in their places

I find this less daunting because it's not items + garbage + messy desk that needs to be cleaned. I threw out garbage as I was cleaning and wiped my desk after everything was removed. So I can focus on just putting these items away without added stress ☺️

UPDATE: I cleaned up so much today thanks to this idea. If you also have just random piles of stuff that you've built up anxiety over dealing with, I can't recommend this enough. It takes away the stress of where to put the item and lets you focus on just dumping most things in there so you can focus on the real issue of garbage and surface cleaning 🥹

I used those cheap litter boxes from the dollar shop(was not previously used for kitties 😂). but cardboard boxes you plan to recycle are a really good option too!

Recommendations for plastic mattress covers pls!

I'm looking for good, durable plastic mattress covers because I think I might be allergic to dust mites. I steam it every month or so I've been stuffy noses when I lie down so I wanna cover my bases. In the past, I've been using the IKEA cloth mattress cover and it's fine but not great. All the plastic ones available are the cheap, thin vinyl type that are great because they don't sound like you're getting on a plastic bag. But they rip easily as I try to put them around my mattress. 😫

I was wondering if you guys have any recommendations. It can be ones that go around the mattress like a fitted sheet or complete covers that encase the entire mattress. I'm not particular

Let's see your smallest plushies. These are mine

I don't usually collect small plushies, these 3 are my only ones. But each holds a special memory I wanted to remember. Snow leopard is from rainforest cafe when it was still around. The fox and polar bear are from 2 seperate trips to Niagara falls.

Let's see your smallest plushies

How do you maintain your clean spaces over time?

My room has been so disgusting for the past while. It hasn't been fully clean for maybe 3+ years. I'd do small cleanups here and there but there would still be sections where it's just randomness that I don't know what to do with

Today I took the first step to try and clean it properly. I've gotten through probably gone through 1/5 of it and have one garbage bag full. I have a long journey ahead between throwing clothes/stuff I cannot use or haven't touched in a long time, getting rid of garbage, laundry, vacuuming/mopping, etc. 😭 the most daunting is my closet where I threw all the random stuff into that I now have to deal with and sort through 😭

I wanted to ask you guys, once you finally clean everything up, how do you keep yourself from going back to a place like this where it's beyond disgusting and messy? Once I clean up, I cannot go back to living like this. But I just never learned the little habits others have to keeping a clean space 😭 my parents are hoarders and it's all I've been around but I know I need to change this 😭

Plush recommendation that look like this?

This is such a shot in the dark but I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for a dog plush that looked like this?

I'm not picky about it looking exactly the same. But ideally want one that has:

  1. potato shaped body like this cutie

  2. at least a little white on the face. Otherwise I'm not particular if it has more or less white than the image

  3. Any shade of gray is fine, even a dark gray

  4. Not too small, at least 12in minimum

Any helpful leads on what companies or specific plushies I could look into would be so greatly appreciated!!! Thank you!

Edit to add: even one that's all white that I could airbrush myself is totally fine if it's in a similar shape

Will shipping to the US still require us to upload the contents of our packages to that one website

I'm looking to ship something to the US and I was wondering if they're still expecting us to upload pictures to that website before it gets cleared to ship? Last time I heard, their supreme Court called the tariffs unconstitutional. So I'm confused on if they've removed it/if we're still expected to do those extra steps before shipping. Thank you!!

Is anyone else getting sick and tired of Americans complaining about the wild fires?

Every other post I see is Americans saying 'i can't breathe with all this smoke from the CANADIAN wild fires', 'it smells awful because of the CANADIAN wildfires'. I'm living through it too and I understand. But the emphasis put on Canada, so they can finally point their little grimey fingers at something.

Like pls Kyle, there's people's homes and livelihoods being burned down. Endangered species are losing their already low population. Let's have a little respect 🤏

Is there an official list of right of ways?

I was wondering if there was an official source where all the rights of ways are listed. From turns to intersections etc. I think I understand most 9f it. I'm just wondering if there might be some I wasn't aware of because I've never been put in certain situations

I give up on linearis 😭

This was my dream plant for so long and I finally acquired one in December. But since then, it's been root rot after root rot. I don't know what it wants anymore 😭I've kept it in soil, water, pon, and now coco chips as a last ditch effort

I was told pon was fool proof, yet I still killed it 😭 can I grow it in just water? Or will that cause it to rot? Idek anymore. I'm at a loss for words with how sad I am about this

How long is BDE valid for?

I'm asking on the behalf of my family. She wanted to learn driving again since she has some free time. The issue is she did her BDE course a while ago, like a solid 3+ years ago (if not more). We were wondering how long it's valid for/if she needs to go through the full course again if she wants cheaper insurance later on.

As well, she was wondering about that extension you can get between G2 and G. I think I saw before that it was $90? She was curious if it only kicks in if her G2 is less than a year away from expiry and how long the the extension is for. Thank you in advance!

What's the appropriate route since it's a one lane road that turns to 2 lanes

This is Sheppard and durnford. I was wondering what the correct route to take would be if I want to go straight or turn right on Sheppard (large intersection). Would I stay on the left side of the lane, then moving over to the right (red line)? Or just immediately going to the rightmost part of the road after the left turn (blue line)? since it goes from one lane to two, I'm not sure. TIA!

Practicing driving with my parents is stressing me out and I don't know what to do

I know I'm not the only one to have anxious parents when practicing driving, so I was wondering if you guys have any tips.

For a bit of background, I got my G2 a few years ago and stopped after that because my instructor was awful and driving with my parents gave me so much anxiety and stress. The license eventually expired.

Now the dread and anxiety left and I'm finally ready to start learning again. I got an instructor who's chill and taught me a lot (I forgot most of what I learned from the past) and did 5 lessons with him already. It was fine and a pleasant experience.

But now the issue is practicing at home with parents. They're very anxious people and will yell at me over minor things while I'm driving, try to make me do shortcuts that aren't allowed but most do anyways and yell at me when I don't (ie rolling stops at a stop sign). No matter how positive I try to be at the start, I've never finished practicing with them in a positive mood and it's tipping me over the edge to quit, again.

I don't have any other people I know in the area that can teach me driving. Do you guys have any tips on what the heck I should do? I want to learn but the anxiety and dread over practicing is becoming too much

Are we allowed to go through a parking spot and park like this? So it's easier to pull out after

I know people do this and it's considered normal. But I'm wondering if it's considered legal. TIA!!
