Is it me? Am I shopping wrong? Why is it so hard to find yarn that is what it says on the label?

Angora with merino? 80% acrylic 20% merino.

Mohair classic? Mostly acrylic.

Cotton? Buncha polyamide.

I had to settle on 100% merino that was thicker than what I needed just because I'm trying to avoid synthetics. And there's nothing wrong with synthetics! I like synthetics! But I'm making a late summer/early autumn garment, dammit, and I'm personally trying to use natural fibers, why should I pay extra extra attention?

How badly will I screw myself over if I get disc brake conversion on my metal frame Tesco bike?

I'm frankenbiking my Tesco bike (Admiral Cross... like that matters), slowly replacing basically everything that can be replaced and converting it to a more "proper" cross bike. Sometimes with used parts, sometimes with brand new ones. Got a little ship of Theseus WIP going on, what with how I'll probably eventually replace everything. This is a super budget "better to have something usable right now" situation. Heck, I got the bike used from a charity.

The thing is, new frames, even used ones, are a bit outside my budget rn, but I could get a disc adapter. I intend to use the bike for leisure rides and maybe a bit of amateur racing. Is it worth it to get conversion for a season or should I not bother?
