More Jessi/Mikayla drama
Jessi liked a video on IG that said Mikayla weaponises her childhood SA in order to bully Taylor. Also said she has no room to tell someone else with trauma how to feel because her husband is part of her trauma and she hasn’t healed from it.
Mikayla commented on a video about Jessi liking it and made a very valid point about how they’re doing exactly what she’s accused of.
Jessi is claiming she didn’t mean to like it but I’ve never seen her accidentally like a negative post about Taylor. I’ve never seen her like a negative post about any of the cast before this and I know she sees them because she comments on a lot of negative posts about herself.
Of course the whole “we’re filming, there’s things you don’t know” excuse comes out as usual.
Also weird to me that Jessi is responding to Mikayla’s Instagram comment by commenting on a TikTok about it. You’re filming, you have her number, you have mutual friends. If you don’t want to feed into the narrative why are you arguing with her under a gossip account’s post?
People who changed meds during titration, how long did you wait?
TLDR: I don’t think my meds are helping but it’s only been 3 weeks. Should I wait to get to a higher dose or ask to have them switched?
I’ve been taking methylphenidate for 3 weeks and I have a medication review on Monday. I started on 18mg for 2 weeks and for the past week I’ve been on 36mg. I haven’t felt any positive difference at all even after starting the higher dose, but I’ve had some negative differences.
Before meds I struggled with severe boredom and I’m not experiencing that anymore but I’m just not interested in anything. I don’t need the constant stimulation but the things I enjoyed just aren’t enjoyable. Music is boring, my TV shows are boring, I don’t want to talk to anyone because everything they have to say is boring.
I went out with my friends and I wasn’t bored I was just kind of there? And they all kept asking if I was bored or upset because I clearly just wasn’t enjoying myself but any other time I definitely would’ve been.
All my other symptoms are still there too so it’s not really helping.
The issue is I know I’m still on a fairly low dose for my bmi. Am I better off asking to switch medications or waiting to see if a higher dose helps?
Layla’s interview with Impact
I love seeing her be more open and talk about her confidence growing. It’s great to hear about the positive things going on in her life because we all know how negative the show can be.
I also think her advice about relationships is important for us young people to remember. I’m guilty myself of wanting to find love from others when I didn’t have love for myself and that’s never a good position to put yourself in.
Hopefully we hear more like this from Layla. Maybe we’ll hear more about her new relationship once the season drops because id love to hear more about her experience dating a woman for the first time.
Taylor’s story
I don’t have many thoughts but no one has posted it without the man’s face so I thought I’d share today’s TT for you all.
I will say I don’t believe that most of the neighbourhood is riding on the road in a golf cart, kids in the back without any helmets, and giggling while they rush over speed bumps.
Jen’s latest post on prenatal depression
It was awful watching her go through it with her last pregnancy so I had hoped for her sake that she didn’t struggle in the same way this time round, unfortunately she says it’s even worse.
I just truly hope she has a support network and feels loved & needed.
I don’t want to blame her but I just really can’t believe they got pregnant again so soon (their daughter wasn’t even one when she announced this pregnancy) given all that she had to deal with.
I graduated!
I just graduated and although a 2:2 may be a disappointing grad for most people I did it with less than 2% attendance because of severe anxiety and did it with undiagnosed ADHD too. Things could’ve gone better but they could’ve gone MUCH worse and I made it to the end when I never thought u could.
Taylor’s latest post - esummary in caption
Starts off by (sort of) explaining what's going on:
- Says there’s lots of false information and false headlines out there but it doesn’t affect her because it’s not true. Immediately after this she says “Some things are true”
- Says she doesn’t need to read the documents going around because it’s like the show, she lived it so however it’s perceived or whatever is said could be accurate/not, could be exaggerated/twisted
- This is a “much serious matter”
- Says things have been misconstrued and she’s taking that up with her attorneys. It will be handled in the courtroom not online.
- She tried to have it sealed from the beginning to protect the children not herself
- Says people who think she’s had no progress in the courtroom don’t understand that it’s a very slow process. She thinks she’s made the progress she’s been aiming for which is more time with her son (doesn't mention the fact that she's used less than half of that time)
- Says the timing of it being leaked is the first day of her having her son for five day (this is the longest consecutive period of parent time for Taylor since Dakota was granted emergency custody months ago) and the leaking of info is a very serious matter and is being looked into
Directly addressing the claims alleged in the DCFS report:
therapist's claims:
- She complains about the court approved therapist. She didn’t like Taylor going into her car for their virtual sessions, Taylor says that’s where she goes to escape the noise.
- She doesn’t care if people believe her because this is “her truth”
- She reached out to the therapist for extra support while struggling and she said she would try fit her in next week. Taylor feels she should’ve been given immediate attention.
- The therapist once asked “why are you crying” which made her very uncomfortable
- The therapist told DCFS Taylor doesn’t take her mental health seriously. Taylor says that isn’t true because she’s “a huge advocate for mental health” and it offended her
- Mentions she has a certified therapist and a life coach they just didn’t have the EMDR training required by the courts
claims about the visits
- She never forced her daughter to change diapers she just lets her if she wants to help. Says “if that is bad on me then so be it”
- She’s frustrated to hear that she ha an “outburst” during another visit. Says she remembers being emotional and taking a step outside and thinks that would be the correct thing to de escalate by going outside to breathe.
- She would never leave someone in her home unintended (guessing she means intentionally? But she left them there regardless) (ETA: as people have pointed out, she probably meant unattended)
- She would never ask someone to lock up her house when it locks up itself (I’m sure they still had to make sure the house was locked when they left, not something they should’ve had to do”
Added comments:
- Says she’s not trying to sway anyone she just gives the ugly and the pretty. She’s not claiming to be mother of the year. She has faults but has the right to defend herself.
- She is confident that if her kids were put up on the stand they’re choosing “mom and mom’s house” every time, her kids know she loves them.
Got my diagnosis after my mum tried to sabotage me!
Some of you probably saw my post last week about my mum intentionally sabotaging the assessment process because she doesn’t believe I could have ADHD but I had my assessment today.
I did what the comments advised and I explained to my assessor that she had told me she said no to pretty much everything because she thinks the questions are stupid and “knows” I don’t have it because her idea of ADHD is a hyperactive 7 year old boy and I don’t behave that way.
I was expecting (if anything, I really started to doubt myself) to be diagnosed with inattentive type but I actually have combined ADHD. We’re going to try medication so I’m just waiting on that at the moment.
I went through Harrow Health and the doctor who did my assessment was great. He made me feel very comfortable and explained the questions for me wherever I needed (I was REALLY worried about misinterpreting things and accidentally lying) and I was able to be completely honest and not on edge the whole time.
It’s so validating to get confirmation that there IS something different about me and all the struggles I’ve had aren’t “laziness” or “lack of effort” it’s me being neurodivergent and my brain working differently.
Mum sabotaged my assessment. What do I do?
I was referred to harrow health through right to choose and as part of the initial screening they ask for someone to be a childhood informant.
I was hesitant because we don’t have the best relationship but asked my mum to do it thinking that she might not remember a lot of what I do but probably enough for it to help.
She fills out the form and then lets me know that she said no to every single question except two about forgetting things because she “knows” I don’t have ADHD and she’s “seen what kids with ADHD look like” but to her I’m fine because I’m not all over the place.
If she answered truthfully I think it would point to inattentive ADHD but she’s sabotaged me. Is there any way for this to not mean I can’t get a diagnosis if one would’ve otherwise been given?
Taylor’s comment…
How is this not a direct violation of the protective order? I thought they were ordered not to speak about each other at the last hearing.
It’s no surprise to me that she couldn’t resist commenting on this because we all saw how hard she was raging when she found out about Dakota and Shinia and it lasted for months.
That message isn’t doing what she wanted it to do because it’s literally about TAYLOR being overly invested and it’s obviously part of a larger conversation we can’t see. All I’m wondering is what Taylor said in that conversation.
Tate’s restraining order has been denied
Sounds like he might have a better chance at getting full custody if he getting custody through alternative routes, I just hope the kids really aren’t in any immediate danger.
Mikayla & Jace in France
I love this trend and they look cute and happy
She posted the other day that Jace really wanted to do this hike for his birthday that they’ve done before.
I love how the “brannings” do little outings together
I think they all have great on screen chemistry and I bet the time they spend together in their free time has a lot to do with that.
Whitney & Conner just bought a house
I’m guessing it’s in New York? I don’t think they’ve said as people were asking in the comment but who knows. As always they seem super happy together.
I’m so nosy I wish we could get a house tour 😭 but I know that they both know way better than that (thankfully)
Mikayla and Jessi in another indirect back and forth
What mikayla is saying makes sense to me because why would your friends like the man who lied about sleeping with you? If she truly disagrees that kinda just confirms to me that she lied because it makes no sense.
Being treated like a queen only goes so far when the person is so obviously using you for clout. I genuinely hope Jessi is in on it because if she’s not it’s just sad. If she ever spends a good chunk of time being single I think she’ll come to regret this.
Mikayla and Chase both commented on this video and I’ll put them in the comments.
I noticed Layla’s Juneteenth post hadn’t made its way into the sub
Like Layla I have a black father and a white mother but I was lucky enough to grow up in an area that’s very ethnically diverse (one of the most diverse areas in the UK actually) and I still struggled with my identity for a long time because it’s very difficult being different not only to those around you but to the people you see in the media.
I hope she can continue to chase her dreams and maybe be a role model in a way to younger girls because representation really does matter.
Can someone explain cost of medication with right to choose please?
I’ve just spoken with my GP and will be referred through right to choose for an assessment but she told me I’ll have to pay for any medication that might be prescribed at cost as they don’t accept shared care agreements for ADHD.
It was my understanding that even without shared care you can be prescribed at NHS cost and not have to pay full price for medication if you’ve gone through right to choose.
I’ve thought I might have ADHD for years and never done anything about it mostly because I had no idea until a friend let me know that you can get private assessments through right to choose so I thought I’d have to pay for an assessment.
If I do get diagnosed and prescribed medication and have to pay full price I won’t be able to afford it so I’d like to know how that works before choosing a provider in case it’s different for each one. Really confused.
Refund refused but they won’t explain why
They Sent me water instead of ice cream and won’t give me a refund which is ridiculous but they also won’t explain what policy makes it ineligible despite me REPEATEDLY asking. I only ordered because my friend and I wanted ice cream.
Advice on where to start
I’ve tried searching on here for answers to this question but all the posts I found were coming from people with experience with other denominations. My situation is different.
I was raised in a completely non religious household and have only ever been inside of a church a handful of times — and only for a christening or funeral.
I suppose I would consider myself to be agnostic most of my life. I always felt some connection when hearing, learning, or watching about Christianity but I’ve never done anything about it. I’m not sure why but whenever I consider finally taking action Catholicism is the branch that comes to mind.
My question is where do I start? It all seems so overwhelming which is why I’ve done nothing about my desire to learn more for the last few years. I’m 21, I’m about to graduate, I’m entering a new phase of my life and I really feel like I need to be the kind of person who acts on what feels true to me.
I apologise if it’s not but I felt like this was the place to ask.
