Great Discussion Around Mamdani and Socialism Yesterday
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uE9DO8M92og
I'm a day late and hate posting topics from a show after a new show has aired but I really enjoyed this conversation yesterday and agreed with a lot of what everyone had to say. They all made great points and it's a discussion worth having.
The Democratic Party needs to adapt and evolve with the times, and the democratic socialist wing is pushing traditional Democrats to have some of those conversations. I can't remember if it was this segment or another one, but I believe Joy said something along the lines of the pendulum swinging from one extreme to the other before eventually correcting itself. I think there's a lot of truth in that.
I was glad Sara spoke out about antisemitism. I continue to have these conversations with fellow Democrats and friends (and I was just discussing this last night). Refusing to support someone on your own side because of disagreement on a single issue is reckless.
I don't think we should ignore Israeli aggression that's gone too far. But some people also need to stop romanticizing or supporting groups whose values are fundamentally against democratic principles. There are multiple issues happening at once and people tend to only focus on one while ignoring the other. The situation involving Israel and the Palestinians is a complicated, long-term conflict that deserves thoughtful discussion rather than bandwagoning because the topic is "in".
Huge shoutout to Whoopi for acknowledging that it's time to give a new generation a chance. Let's see what new leaders and new ideas can bring to the table. Most people agree that the status quo isn't working for many Americans. If we want change, we have to be willing to give new voices an opportunity to lead.
I wasn't necessarily a Zohran Mamdani supporter but I do like him, I support what he is trying to do, and I'm open and willing to give him a chance. I think that's very fair.
(**Disclaimer: I'm happy to engage in respectful, good faith discussions and thoughtful disagreements. I won't participate in hostility, personal attacks, or judgement because they hold different views. I also won't engage in cohost bashing, namecalling, or blanket accusations, including labeling people as Zionists or anti-Zionists as a substitute for substantive discussion. As most of you know, I rather and want to only focus on the issues, the facts, and the ideas being discussed so save the nonsense.)
YES!!!!
Absolutely yes!!!! Rosie needs to guest cohost ASAP.
The bite marks to prove it? Get real.
Ya know… Greg Gutfeld is obnoxious and I can't stand him but JD Vance was gracious about the whole thing. Saying they were only "a little bit vicious" is pretty generous considering he obviously knows they went easy on him.
Joy telling him he's pretty good for a Republican doesn't mean much. That's just Joy being Joy. I do think meeting someone in person and actually talking to them can shift how you see them.
The funniest part is that Vance expected Sunny to be the one calling him a racist, and it was actually Whoopi. Good on her for that, even if everyone's been piling on her here since yesterday's show.
DC Empower
I’m ranking McDuffie last mostly and only because of him and others pushing Empower out.
Martha Stewart: You can’t be awful.
I totally agree with Martha! Signing the books and giving out your autograph comes with the territory. I wish some celebs would be more mindful of this. Shout out to the 84 year old woman for understanding this!!
John Fetterman is Weird
The dude is on with Kasie Hunt right now talking about Graham Platner sending x pics, his tattoo, and post on social media. He's going on and on about what Graham Platner does in the bathroom and how he has described the pics he's sent in the past. It's weird.
John Fetterman wants voters in Maine to demand Graham Platner to release some of his text messages to make sure he wanted talking with underage kids? like what? Has John Fetterman ever demanded this of a Republican or Trump official?
John Fetterman isn't even a Democrat anymore. He's a loony tune. God help him.
Has Kaitlan Collins Come Close To Breaking Her Professional Composure?! | WWHL
Kaitlan is a class act. I’ve been waiting to write something because I really liked what Anderson said about the situation but I can’t find it anywhere.
I was happily surprised to see Kaitlan on WWHL…. Smiling and in alllllll her glory. Yes girl.
Trump is a predator and really thinks somebody like Kaitlan should want to impress him. And Kaitlan doesn’t give a single F and I love that about her!
UberX is Taxi?
I’m a regular Uber user and this afternoon is my first time ever getting assigned a cab. I usually go for Uber Comfort but I didn’t want to spend the extra money. It seems fine I guess. The car isn’t bad and the driver is totally quiet. It just feels a bit strange getting picked up by a cab.
Oh…
Well I haven’t seen any the interview if that’s what he’s talking about but Adam Parkhomenko isn’t holding back.
It has arrived…. Almost.
I was just poking around the city bikeshare program and realized it connects to Lyft, which I thought was interesting. That led me down a rabbit hole looking at Lyft memberships and I came across this.
I wonder if this helps solve the “rides aren’t worth it for drivers” problem.
Read the DNC’s 2024 autopsy obtained by CNN | CNN Politics
The report has arrived. I’ve not understood what the big fuss has been about with this or who and why anybody thinks this report matters. I generally have not heard much about it and don’t think it’s as big a deal as a very very select few are making it but it’s here.
Todd Blanche on OutFront?
Pretty sure I saw that… here we go. Smh.

If you want to get more of her views, a little more than on The View.

I always enjoy when she’s on and you get to hear her perspective and view a little more than on The View.
Kaitlan Got Her Hair Did
My picture is pretty pathetic but her hair looks nice. I don’t think it was darker last night but maybe it was and I’m late to notice. But it looks nice.
Really Scott?
Not even a tad bit modest as he tries to defend Trump saying 'I don't think about Americans' financial situation' from what looks like a vineyard. Smh.
