I added a grid color puzzle to my game, which applies bonus stats.

Progression in the game lets you increase your total grid size allowing to you get more bonuses. Connecting colors also adds small color-set bonuses that grow the more you connect.

Previously the game had a "card" system which allowed you to equip cards which gave these bonuses, but I added a little puzzle minigame in its place which I think is a lot more interesting

My game will have a ~500 node talent tree and more progression systems layered on top. This is my entry for Steam Bullet Fest!

The game is Vanisha https://store.steampowered.com/app/4555270/Vanisha/ with a demo out now

I have spent a lot of time working to get the progression feeling just right (and am still tweaking it until the release in October). There are a ton of systems at play and I leaned towards allowing the player to feel powerful / broken in the endgame.

If you're interested in this sort of thing, please check it out, let me know what you think and drop a wishlist if you want

I've spent a lot of time getting the gameplay feeling right. I wonder how many people play these types of games here, I rarely see them here

Sloow wishlists. Is it the game, the store page, the trailer, or just business as usual?

Store page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4555270/Vanisha/

Hi, just hit 250 wishlists at ~4.5 weeks in. I'm not really looking for a 'destroy my game' type thing although you can go ahead and do that too as all feedback is appreciated. I'm more looking for comments on anything that is clearly missing from my steam page/trailer/game but is important that a first time viewer would notice, or any 'quick win' type marketing things ya'll have done that have helped out.

OR am I worrying for nothing, and the rate of wishlists is pretty normal? Just some quick notes:

- Haven't done any fests yet (but am signed up and ready for them)

- Didn't really see a boost in wishlists when the demo launched

- Have been making some posts on reddit, although anti promo rules make it hard!

- Not doing any other social media, not sure if it helps or if my game would even look great in short clips. That being said, I am starting to explore options

- Wishlist rate varies. Some days it's 1 or even 0, some days it's 7 or 8

Edit:

Oh, and I am emailing a lot of streamers and youtubers. Some have accepted keys, but no created content or anything from it yet

Vanisha - DANYL - retro twin stick shooter with puzzle elements and a narrative

Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X861ncGstbc

Demo: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4555270/Vanisha/

I've been working on Vanisha for about a year and a half, releasing in October on Steam. Between combat runs are short Sokoban-inspired puzzle rooms that break up the pace. There's a talent tree, equippable cards that warp your stats, and multiple ships types that change the way you play, and much more in the full game

At this point I'm really just looking for any feedback on the demo or trailer. Thank you!

Art I made for one of my games as a newbie pixel artist

Not nearly as good as some of the other stuff I see on here though, was just happy because I don't normally do this and was able to make something nice looking
