If I'm reducing bad bacteria and fungus in the body. At what point do I start adding in probiotics?

'm actually noticing reduction, when I take something like caprylic acid. Compared to many different other things I've tried. But there's still many other things I need to do, so I can get confirmation on what's fully going on.

Like for one I know I live in a mold environment. However I've been suffering with these gut symptoms for way before I lived here. Which I can say was probably more contributed due to me, constantly overeating and not giving my gut a chance to do it's thing. As well as laying down after meals, not eating enough fiber, not getting enough sun and plenty more.

Ive taken probiotics before like saacharomyches boulardi. But now I'm realizing, it probably was still too much overgrowth at the time. So I'd end up with bloating and gas. Which makes me think, do you have to just kill things down for a while before introducing probiotics?

What is it like going to a functional doctor for those first few sessions? Are they testing you for Candida, sibo, parasites, etc early on or is it dragged out?

I really want to get some confirmation, if I have candida or not. Even tho I've suffered with signs of it for years. The only thing, I don't know any doctor that you can get this tested from besides a functional doctor.

So it's still in my plan to hopefully save up and maybe at least get one or two sessions in. To where I can at least get tested, for all these things. That a typical doctor would ignore and gaslight you for. So I can finally move on and get back to living a normal life soon.

Whats those first one or two sessions like. Are they doing bloodwork off bat, where you can see if if you have candida or anything else?

For some reason, all the drop offs were shown in a different language today. What language is this, Russian?

I have to probably make a list or something. Of bathrooms in NYC I can use while working

Most places just either don't have bathrooms at all, I'm sure that's due to the high homeless population. Then there's places with a bathroom, but you have to buy something. Which honestly even if I did spend money outside, it'll still feel weird having to do that to use a bathroom.

Everytime I have to go bad, I end up just having to accept something and traveling out of my way. To a location that I know I can go for sure. Where I don't have to feel awkward about asking about the bathroom.

Definitely one of the weak points, about working a job that is based outside all day. Is it hard or easy to find a bathroom in your city when working?

Seen some video earlier, where a lady thought she had hemorrhoids and it turned out to be c*ncer

I've lately been thinking back on the years, where I rarely ate fiber and it was a lot of them. I remember at some point, besides a plain bowl of oatmeal, raisin bran cereal, French fries or a granola bar. I was probably not consuming much at all.

I was eating ramen noodles for dinner for many years. Lots of white bread sandwiches and bagels, with no fiber. Like I always think of my overcoumsumption of sugar, when in reality it probably was the lack of fiber first. As that would of at least binded and clear most the bad bacteria out.

Now I've been eating the most fiber I ever have in my life, since like 2023. And I basically can't even get things to clear out anymore. As I've already burnt out my system so much by terrible eating of the past.

But yeah seeing that video earlier, had me worried. As I always had a feeling I could possibly have cancer. Based on things like I've never been able to gain weight outside of 130, besides being bloated or just extra constipated where it adds weight. Then it's gone once I have a decent bowel movement. Along with just other immune problems.

But how food always have issues getting out down there. It made me wonder if that could be that. As if it was hemorrhoids, this would of probably been healed years ago. Or maybe it's at the point where I need surgery or it's just something like Crohn's.

Is there a limit, where there's too many supplements taken at one time or in a day?

I just took with my meal vitamin b1, b2, magnesium citrate, vitamin d3/k2, coq10, zinc polisonate, betaine hcl, taurine, vitamin c and caprylic acid. I don't think I ever took that many at one time ever. But I'm doing whatever to get my gut in order, so I can get my immune health back and function normally.

Have any of you just ate normally and then just added high spice to everything, while working on your stomach acid?

After spending a few weeks focusing in my gastritis. By essentially making things worse, by taking antacids. I had to reloop back again to realize the problem is low stomach acid. Which was why even tho I was eating lean meats for years, it still couldn't even break that or eggs down.

Then with the excessively dry stomach environment. That would cause everything including the carbs to just pile on top of each other. Building up the bad bacteria and fungus to thrive.

But I just got back into trying out white pepper again. As that's probably a safer option for me. I can't do black due to oxalates and garlic I still don't trust. After the symptoms I would experience with it, also with a chance of having sibo.

I think in my case, I probably was never able to tolerate spice. Because I was always drowning myself in so much sugar and making my stomach acid lower in the past. So nothing was reallly being broken down as energy, which was a major reason for the overeating of carbs.

I also was never a high spice eater at any point in my life. I'd do some BBQ wings every now and then, or something mild from the Chinese restaurant. But I always gravitated towards the savory. I wonder if I was spicy eater, maybe I could of avoided all this bacteria and fungus from building up like this? Along with making sure my stomach acid levels were in check.

I started taking Betaine Hcl again and it's definitely pointing to low stomach acid. As at least one of the reasons for my constipation

I bought this betaine hcl I powder form, back in like 2023. It was at a time where I had just stopped the AIP diet and was about to try carnivore. I still didn't really know much about health at that time. But I had a feeling I had low stomach acid, just with my experience as far as animal protein just feeling heavy.

Tried it over many different variations of diets over the years. But I now come back to it, after my many years of studying and researching my health. I knew it was having a good effect again, as even tho I was still having constipation. The little I was getting out was starting to form well again. Then today I was able to get a really good load out. After I had some with a healthy meal, then also took vitamin c, magnesium citrate, b1, coq10 and marshmallow root with a meal. As well as talking some coconut butter after, so it could help with the fungus overgrowth.

As far as the fungus overgrowth, I'm about to buy some caprylic acid and berberine and try to see what that do. Whenever I take oil of oregano, my entire left colon ends up in pain. Which I feel may be a sign of crohn's, UC or diverticulitis.

I'm also thinking about upping the betaine hcl dose, up from 1g to 2g and see if that helps the stomach clear out better. As I notice without the extra acid, things just sit and ferment. Then I end up brain fog, inflammation and walking like I got a shitty pamper on smh.

But the acid is just one part of the constipation. The bacteria/fungus overgrowth is a major one too. Like you have the imagine the stuff growing down there, after literally having constipation literally since I was a child. I literally used to get up everyday and just eat and eat, without barely ever taking a shit. Or I'll end up randomly getting diarrhea at some point back then.

Now the damage is so bad I can't even get diarrhea. Instead things just get inflamed and they get blocked up due to the damage in the upper and lower left colon. Which then eventually leads to stool getting stuck, water not absorbing and pain on my left side. If I wasn't dealing with this mechanical problem, I'm sure I would still be having diarrhea with some of the things I eat. But definitely give betaine hcl a try, as well as look into bacteria/fungus possibilities if food just seems to sit in you for days then pile on top of each other. Speaking of pile on top of each other, I think it's also a chance I may have hemorrhoids. As I used to deal with fissures all the time, before it turned into this chronic constipation.

This has to be my first time, seeing such a little baby bike rack. It was funny locking my bike up to this lol

Idk what was going on with me earlier. But I had some weird existential moment, when I was doing my deliveries this morning. Where it just had me really noticing how we are in a rat race. While realizing most people really don't have time for themselves at all.

So it's like this gig work stuff can for sure be stressful and unpredictable at times. But then it's days where you make $150 in like 5 hours. Where it really makes you see how your time is being saved. Or when I go in for a restaurant pickup or a shop & pay. And you notice the workers have to pretend they are always doing something at all times.

Meanwhile I could be doing so much stuff within my work day . Meeting new people on the street, taking breaks by the water, people watching, taking the day off for appointments whenever I want, having more time to get into a hobby, etc.

Like it's definitely a lot of flaws with gig work. But I was just thinking deep into how society is shaped and also why many people just choose not to work at all. Outside of the people with health and mental issues, many still just sit at home and do nothing. I guess on the flipside tho, if all your time is spent just working, going home tired/depressed and doing it all over again. I see why some choose the easy way out.

I'm guessing I say all that to say. If you can make whatever you need in a shorter days notice. Then definitely appreciate that time more, even if your just using it for resting and recovery. As I just got back into a W-2 job last year and recently lost it last month. Because I couldn't get some paperwork signed by my doctor. But that also was one of the most annoying companies I've worked at in a long time too. So it kind of made me appreciate this gig work a little more. Even tho I am looking to get back into some W-2 work soon when I find something that makes sense.

I bought this a while ago, only took the standard dose a few times and it never worked. I can't swallow pills, so I can't consume acid that way. And I'm sure I break out when I take ACV and I can't do bitters because most of them have oxalates.

I'm in a weird situation, as I really really damaged my gut over the years. So things basically just sit in my gut, to end up fermenting into bad bacteria. This is in powder form, but I read the reviews many times and it seems lots of people consume it this way and it'd made for that. I'm just worried if it's only safe for the standard and if I try to double the amount, if it might burn my throat.

I feel like you always see the post, about people saying I'm eating fiber. I'm taking all forms of laxatives, enemas, psyllium husk, hydrating and all.

When it's like if you done everything you're supposed to do, then probably you're dealing with like a disease or disorder? That's messing with the function of your hormones and body signaling. Where the only thing that might get things going again, is probably a certain medication.

That's basically where I'm at with it. I thought it was most likely all a bacteria, fungus or parasite doing all this. But this don't even make sense anymore. I've checked off almost all the boxes of things I could do. From cleanses, vitamins, supplements, being very physically active and struggling due to the constipation, laxatives, breathing and all.

I need to get a FULL thyroid panel. Not that bullshit that primary doctor's give and claim your thyroid is working great. As I feel it's a chance this maybe something like hashimotos. Where it's not just slowing down the gut, but other hormones that are affecting energy production. Anybody else suffered with constipation for a long time and found out it was something like the above?

I'm mad I let myself go back down the road of taking antacids again. Now my constipation and back up is even worse than before, which was already pretty bad. So that basically led me back to trying out other things I tried in the past.

Like taking betaine hcl powder, papaya enzymes that have peppermint in them, magnesium citrate, etc. And within doing that, I was met with very low thyroid symptoms again. I've felt this many times in the past before, but it took me a few days to realize again. After I was noticing my neck and just overall body fell very weak and limp. I was also noticing my hormones were way more out of whack than usual. With me stressing out to sounds and other situations more.

I also noticed my acidity levels were rising and I had diarrhea which I hardly ever, I mean I can barely have a movement in general that's not super constipated. I've also dealt with this upper and lower pain in my left colon. Waiting to get my colonoscopy done in June, but I've had this pain for years now. Where stool just seems to slow up and clog in traffic. It makes me think it has to be either diverticulitis or crohn's, just due to the severity of the sharp stabbing pains.

The gastritis just seems to be a by after effect, of other imbalances in the body. Like I've tried doing certain things in the past to work on killing off bad bacteria and fungus. And it'll never be a high success rate, however I noticed if I could get a decent bowel movement. Then a lot of the intensity levels would calm done, I would feel hydration again and less brain fog, less body inflammation and pain.

I mean I only started taking my gut health serious around like 2023 or so. But I've been dealing with most of these problems since like before 2016. Only difference back then, I was ignorant to what was going on. So I just kept eating and drinking however I wanted. And ignoring the pain, just comforting the acid by eating ice cream and more sweets.

But all of these issues definitely don't revolve around my gastritis. A normal body would at least show minor signs of getting better. No one could be taking every gut healing supplement, eating a gentle diet, drinking only water and herbal tea, pretty much worked on every aspect of lifestyle. From stress to sleep to getting more sun/fresh air, working on being less reactive, more intentional, eating smaller meals, the whole shabang lol.

I'm going to bring this up to my primary, so hopefully I can get a referral to get a more thorough thyroid test. Then I'll see what they find next month in June, once I get my colonoscopy done. The gastritis usually isn't too bad for me, as my body for some reason is always dried out and constipated. Most likely due to a partial blockage, that could be crohn's or diverticulitis. But I can't deal with the thyroid problems, that makes you feel like you literally can't do anything. As your hormones ain't working, so your muscles and strength isn't there, you're way more fatigue and neck just feels very weird, plus the over emotion. Which isn't even my personality in the slightest of ways. So yeah if you air seeing progress, definitely pay attention to other health issues that may be the root cause.

I'm typically suffering with constipation on most days. With this feeling of food being very stuck on my entire left side. To the point where it causes me dehydration and nothing gets thru that pathway at all.

So when I can have diarrhea that still sucks, as your gut is not happy. But I feel a little better at least finally getting something out my gut. The thing is, people who aren't dealing with a bacteria/fungus overgrowth or parasites. They would normally just of course drink electrolytes. And then they would eat light foods like soups, crackers, white rice, toast, applesauce, etc. So they can calm their gut and be gentle.

However if your gut is driving you insane 24/7. And you're supposed to avoid what feels like 97% of foods. As well as focus primarily on eating fiber and lean meats. Then what do you after diarrhea? Isn't it bad to eat a high fiber day again after stomach upset?
