Stupid question
I guess I have never noticed. Is it normal for the crimp on the top of shells to be open enough to see the pellets?

When I very first started my buddy showing me the ropes said just get 3” #2 unless we’re only after geese. I have had good luck with #2 and haven’t really questioned it until now as I look into other non steel options.
Anyone have any experience with it? Is it worth grabbing a case of Herters waterfowl steel? I’m not seeing a ton of info or reviews on it, I assume it’s just Winchester repackaged like their other ammo.
Looking to replace my stoger m3000 that I use for bird hunting (duck, pheasant, turkey) mostly but am torn if it’s worth the extra cash for the a400. Does anyone have experience with both and have any recommendations?
So my musket has me torn for two things. Do I pull off the acog and matech to put the carry handle back on, Or come up with another idea for the detachable carry handle?
Also probably like 7 years ago I got a 20in upper but it has a 20in heavy Crome lined barrel. Do I replace it with a government profile to appease my tism or is that just going full retard. There’s nothing wrong with it and it’s super accurate.
What ammo does everyone stock up on? I have been sticking with m193 from lake city but am always tempted to slowly swap it out for something heavier as I shoot through and replace cases.
Just an update I forgot to post after going to the range after changing the springs. No improved feeding came from the hk springs they still work perfectly find with round nose ammo.
My play will just be replace them with HK Mags and move on but was worth a shot
Those of you that have a rifle you’d grab if the world goes tits up. Do you run an ARD on the optics you have on it? Any reason why you don’t?
Well I shot a mixed set of 500 flat nose and HP rounds today and all fed through the hk mag into my AP5 without issue suppressed and unsuppressed
Wish I could have still gotten a stripped lower to go with my m4A1 Ris 3 upper from brownells but in a pinch this one will have to do
I believe this is the front central jacking point on my 25 Odyssey but wanted to verify. Everything I’m finding online is older years with a hook point. In the owners manual I only see mention of the pinch welds.
Stupid question number two today. What is the difference in the hk vs mke mags? I assumed it would be a different follower but as far as I can tell they are the same. MKE is the dirty one.
Only issue I have had with the MKE ones is ftf with flat nose rounds.
How important is it to swap the locking pice in the gun when shooting suppressed? Iv got about 1000 rounds through mine suppressed and haven’t had issues with anything other then FTF with flat nose rounds but not looking to cause extra damage to it.
So I have a rc2 mini I run on my 14.5 and 16in ARs. It’s been great but Iv been debating getting an rc4 mini, is it worth it grabbing the rc4 mini when i already have an rc2?
I’m debating getting a MI tri rail and adding a surrfire scout mini. Does it need a pressure pad to be usable or is it still functional with the standard button end cap?
