being pagan but forgetting about my beliefs
English is not my native language, so bear with me. I use Google Translate for some parts of this.
I describe myself as a pagan because that truly aligns with my values and experiences.
I believe that the divine is not a person in the sky; it's a presence in the river, in the mist, in the forest. I do not need a thunder god if I believe that the storm itself is alive and sacred.
I lean towards an intuitive, nature-oriented path. I don't want a structured church or rigid dogmas. I feel connected to the concept of a parallel spiritual world that exists alongside our physical world. For me, spirituality is about feeling the veil thinning when I am alone in nature, perhaps leaving behind simple offerings, and ultimately returning my energy to the Earth.
I have deep respect for perseverance and the strength required to weather the storms of life. At the same time, I value the idea that the universe operates based on balance, beauty, and logic. I appreciate the natural, orderly rhythm of the seasons.
So, I have a fairly clear picture of my beliefs (even if I'm not sure what they fall under). But... it's as if I sometimes forget? I'm Dutch, and our culture is very secular. If you are religious (especially if you adhere to something considered ''wappie" (meaning crazy, nutjob, etc)), you keep that to yourself.
I'm also autistic and have ocd tendencies, so I get stuck on the right way of doing things, especially when there are no rules.
How can I insert these beliefs into my life on a (near) daily basis that feels natural, especially for a 'beginner'? What I currently do is say hello to the birds I come across on my travels.
