Assaulted by family member. They're countering the charges with intimidation and assault. What is my best course of action?

Long story short, my family member is actively fighting domestic violence accusations in court. He's been staying with my parents.

Recently he attacked me when my parents were not home and I went into the home to use the bathroom. He tried to choke me.

Now because I requested charges to be pressed against him, he is requesting charges be pressed on me for intimidation and assault.

Due to his active fight against DV charges, he already has a lawyer.

Everyone being told each side in the family keeps begging me to drop the charges. They're saying I dont have a foot to stand on. I have visible marks on my throat where he touched me and an inflamed throat.

This is not the firat time this man and I have had confrontation, but it is the first time I've been harmed physically.

What do I do?

Had my IUD removed Monday, and now I'm a raging b word and I feel so ashamed in my short fuse responses

My partner and I are going to try to have a baby so I had my IUD removed. Almost the immediate next day small inconveniences had me bawling and raging over things that even I thought were stupid once I had everything tidied up and managed with a cooler head.

Today I go to make a small lunch snack and I go to the drawer with pans in it and every single pan in there, where clean ones should be, were dirty.

We have a dishwasher but things get missed but if people aren't checking and just dumping the dishes from dishwasher to cupboard it ends up like this?

I call my partner and he hasnt been home enough to do any dishes, I was layed up with a hot water bottle on my abdomen after the removal for half a day, and the next couple days I wasnt home. So i asked roommate and he says "he doesn't deserve to be lectured like a child over it" and I snapped!!!

It takes two seconds to realize there's burnt on food and egg residue from YOUR breakfast, roommate! I went off, and now I feel like an ahole for it!

I have to use the authenticator to get the verification code!!!

Moving and was supposed to end lease early with landlord. Broke my ankle moving my things out of the building.

It is as reads. I lost my job recently and was looking at places with my boyfriend before i lost it, and we had already signed a lease and agreed I'd move in after my lease was over.

So i have to move before the end of the lease. I can do this because there is a clause in my lease agreement that states "Landlord and Tenant can mutually agree to end tenancy at any time". I was just hoping to get all my things out and have the place cleaned and ready for the next future tenant before that request was brought forward.

Then, yesterday, while carrying the top piece of my desk down three flights of stairs (no elevator), as im getting to the last flight, my foot gets caught and I go tumbling down the stairs.

I feel a Crack and hear it too as I miraculously land the desk piece and cling to it as I tumble onto the landing, knees first. Another Crack sound and I feel it but I hope it's just the desk top.

Pant. Pant. Ow. Expletives.

I stand up and I know I'm not okay. Adrenaline and rage kick in. I call my new roommate since my boyfriend is out of town, announce my wounds, and he's good to meet me at our place to move the desk into my boyfriend and i bedroom.

I think the Adrenaline was the only thing that got my entire desk into my car. The cold sweats kicked in while I drove home.

It was not a fun night, but after experiencing way worse sprains before, I didnt think it was broken.

Go to doctors office. Scolded for not going to emergency to get Xrayed immediately.

Xrays ordered.

Ordered to be in a air cast until further notice.

Pretty sure by the look of the nurse and Xray Tech the prognosis isn't good.

Now I can't move my things and have to spend my last savings on another stupid month of rent in my old apartment.

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHGGGGGHHHH

Mom's old laptop cant reset. It is an Acer aspire 1

I just got this and I want to reset the computer so I can basically have it back to factory and not have to log into mom's portal every time I use it

I went into the system settings and tried to "reset" the laptop and it took its time but at the end of it, it showed that it "could not reset computer"

Im planning on getting a USB drive to download all of mom's files onto so I can wipe the storage and all so I can use it as my own device and not have limited space on the laptop storage, but id really like to factory reset after that.

Reason I mention that is that I havent done that yet, wondering if that was why it cant?

I went no contact with my parents because my uncle had a tantrum.

I, 30F, went Camping on a Family getaway and brought along my Boyfriend, 28M, to meet some of my siblings for the first time. We've been together for around 8 or 9 months, so this was a great way to have him meet the rest of my family.

He'd already met my mom and dad, 63M and 56F, a few weeks earlier and they liked him on the spot. Good because im head over heels inlove with him and i know one day we will be married.

Recently my dad's brother, the Uncle of the story (65M) has been living with my parents while he goes through yet another rocky divorce. This one is i think wife number 4.

With those introductions complete we will continue on.

We got to the double campsite that we had been invited to stay at after my parents had parked their motor home and my Uncle had parked their boat that he had towed for them with his Toyota pickup.

Despite this being a double campsite in a provincial park, with plenty of space to have hosted all of the family members that were coming out that weekend, the way my dad and my uncle had parked everything evaporated any chance of anyone else using the other half of the campsite.

We settle on a spot that is a little to the back of the campsite and start setting up our tent. Our teensy weensy 6 man tent barely fits on the campsite. And the ground is solid gravel that's been packed down, so our tent pegs won't go into the ground.

Thank you, Provincial Parks Canada.

We take four pieces of firewood after about 45 minutes of hell and hammering, bent tent pegs and all, and put them into the corners of our tent with hopes it won't collapse on it. Its pouring rain at this point and my boyfriend and I are soaked.

My older sister, 39F, her husband (is it weird i dont know my BIL age?) And my nephew, (6M) arrive, and set up their tent in the only other available spot directly beside our tent.

Everyone hides under my parent's RV awning and we have a few S'mores after dinner, and then we all turn in around 10 o'clock at night.

The next morning Uncle complained that my boyfriend and I snore.

This man slept in the truck bed of his Toyota Tacoma, while his new to him puppy barked at every random breeze or fly that flew by. I love puppies, im not mad at the puppy.

We apologize and give it a little laugh, everyone has breakfast. Dad and Uncle head out with the boat while boyfriend and I head into the nearest town to get some things we had forgotten. When we get back, dad and Uncle are still gone, and we decide it would be a great idea to move our tent to the other side of the campground. There would be more space between my sister's tent and ours, and we all could appreciate a little more privacy too.

We find the ground is softer on the other side of the campsite too, and that makes us happy because the night before the tent did almost collapse on us.

My mom says we didnt need to, that Dad and Uncle won't like it when they come back, and I explained I didnt like how close our tent was and the point of having a double site was to have space to camp, not for Uncle and Dad to have a parking lot. I also informed her we had been told we snore too loud, and not by just my Uncle.

Fast forward to later at dinner, my Dad and Uncle come back and huff and humm and puff at each other when Dad gets out to spot Uncle so he could park his truck.

Directly against our tent.

I get up and tell him to move his truck because its directly against our tent and it would collapse if he doesn't and he scoffs as he walks away.

I follow after him and repeat myself and add in we moved our tent so we could have some privacy and so we didnt disturb everyone with our snoring, that I would appreciate him moving his truck away from our tent, because he was right up against it and his dog would be barking all night so I wouldn't be able to sleep.

He groaned and makes a comment calling my boyfriend a buzzsaw but his dog would bother my sleep, but moves his truck so its more into the other half near my parent's motor home.

Not even twenty minutes later he comes over and starts yelling and cussing at me about asking him to move his truck. He calls me a C word, a fat a** B word that has no respect for her elders, and takes off when my boyfriend looks up at him from where he was sitting beside me by the fire.

We start packing up to leave. I try telling my parents what happened but as it has been every time my Uncle does this my father worships the ground his brother walks on and tells me he's not listening to a wh*** like me make excuses for my disgusting behavior towards his brother. Im shocked. I try to tell my mom not just what Uncle said to me, but the horrible things my dad said to me, but she doesnt listen and says "I told you they wouldn't like it, but you wouldn't listen!"

My uncle starts mouthing off again.

Then I have my boyfriend walking towards my parents campsite and I stop everything to stop him from knocking my dad and my uncle out. I know he would have.

Thank god he listened too and did not, because my nephew was camping there too.

Luckily this drama occurred while my sister and BIL were at the jungle gym the provincial park offers with my nephew, and my nephew wasn't traumatized at all, just sad that I was leaving.

This is not the first time my uncle has picked me to be his victim. Not the first time my dad has gone blind to his brother's crochety old ways. Its just the first time my father has called me that name. And the first time I had unbiased witness.

My boyfriend supported me when I decided to go no contact.

I'll never speak to my parents again

And im not upset about it at all.

Mom gave me her old (new to me) laptop

it finally let me reset to factory, but first 3 times were unsuccessful due to "corrupted files".

Why you gotta do this to your devices every time, mother?

She always complains it won't do its computer doings, and then I see the red mark in updates, and it cant install updates. Well. Theres a problem with something you got on there mama. And I just wiped it out. And im not even a computer scientist

AIO I think my coworker has a crush on me... im married

My husband (33M) and i (30F) recently eloped, and I have been over the moon about life since. Everything sparkles in my mind and even my job hasnt brought me down.

Recently ive been doing a few shifts in a sister store to help out, and a coworker from a store I transferred out of works at this store now. We get along great and work well together. He transferred out after I did, and because I dont bring work friends into my personal friends group, I hadnt spoken to him in almost a year, so wasn't really bothered by his over-the-top euphoria when he saw me in the break room snacking on cheetos while I was on my phone with my husband talking about our plans for the weekend.

Then it became more. He outright confessed to me and asked me out on a date. I informed him im married. He flinched and didnt say anything, and went to work.

There's been no tiptoeing and glum behavior... then he stops by as im elbows deep in summer clothing, folding it... and invites me to meet his mom this weekend???

Im now concerned because I suggested we make it four people and I'd INTRODUCE HIM TO MY HUSBAND and he finally reacted and fidgeted, and shook his head and said "no no just you and me and ill introduce you to my mom". I told him im a busy person and unless my husband was there i can't commit.

I feel like he's been lying to his mom, and telling her some sort of fantasy tale, maybe even that we are a couple, and i dont know how to react. Im loyal to my husband, there's no doubt of that. Am I feeling disrespected that ive been ignored twice after saying im married? Am I justified in my feeling uncomfortable? Or AIO?

ETA

I just texted that store's manager and the manager we once had at the same time. Not going to hold my breath waiting. Its Friday.

Dollarama 16 minutes of "training" when its all just the company fluffing their corporate feathers for making millions while the employees have to choose whether its eggs or milk in their fridge for the next 2 weeks just so they can have a roof over their head

This company is just garbage.

Current and former employees... have you been mistreated, bullied, or not accommodated for your disabilities if you have one?

Im considering looking in to starting a class action lawsuit. If I dont go through with this end, im suing the managers that have sent me to the psychiatric ward 5 times in the last 2 months, after suicide attempts.

My entire reason behind this is that im being bullied at my store that I work at. I know im going to be fired because im not a zombie, and I dont lay down and take it when they want to act like theyre kings and queens of every slave (sales Associate) that works beneath them.

I want to hear your stories. I want to see if there's anyone else being treated like $$a and I want to get this going so that they change themselves.

Can Loss Prevention and HR really throw out our belongings if we dont have a receipt?

I was just told that when they do LP inspections that LP can not only go into our lockers and search our handbags, but they can also look in our lunches and throw items out that dollarama doesnt sell or does sell if we dont have a receipt.

It's really baffling to me that they think they have a legal right to do this, if this is true, but also an ethics thing. I have prescription medication that I have to take with food. If they throw out my lunch because I dont havea receipt, that causes serious health problems for me.
