I'm so tired of men i could actually cry so bad

I'm not sure which flair to use this is my first time in this sub I've been lurking for a while. As a brown girl I feel this consistent pressure to cater to my male relatives and I want to die.

for context without exposing too much i recently turned 18 but i can't move out because where I live its not the culture for women to live alone so I have to continue living with my big ass family, uncles, brothers, brothers in law etc (im sure you can guess where im from now)

and I have to constantly watch the women in my life expect me to leave my studies to cater to their stupid husbands, why should I have to give them their evening tea or clean the bathroom after them? After I argue they don't talk to me for hours which honestly i don't give a fuck about its better than running after men and caring about them

I want to study i want a good life i don't want to cater to bald smelly men fucking hell. I don't want to listen to my auntie or cousins complaining about how their husbands treat them and I don't want to have to give them advice that they'll ignore. They want to complain but don't want the men to change, they'll never even say it to their faces.

I don't even know what im expecting by posting this, maybe relief, getting it off my chest? I'm tired of this, dealing with these stupid women and ungrateful ugly men

I see my relatives in pain from running after the men but they don't care to talk about it, communication is literally non existent i don't know what to say, and no i don't give them advice im just the bitchy kid who's always arguing in my family

one good thing did happen recently where I yelled at my brother in law and he was so upset but he didnt let anyone get mad at me and actually profusely apologized though I haven't forgiven him. I'm not their maid and I won't be expected to act like it. im not even an avid man hater but I hate my relatives

I'm spiraling in my mind and life

I feel like my life is spiraling, because of that i disguise my uncomfortableness with growing up in yelling and lashing at other people

I keep ruining good things because im so sensitive, I get mad over small things and equally sad, i can barely talk because everyone makes me angry

I haven't talked to my friend in four years because of my anger issues, I can't stop being mad and I can't stop yelling at people over small things

I'm a mess who keeps spiraling, I can barely study and I feel embarrassed considering im an adult who should be able to control my emotions better. Safe to say 18 isn't what I thought it would be

Update on the gifts I gave him

Soooo a while ago I made a post about gifting my crush a few things including a hoodie from his favorite canadian brand or a phone or a gold watch. In the end I purchased all of it but only gave him the hoodie

He thanked me and smiled at me????? i died i diedd, im so in love. Anyways, today was the first time I went to class after procrastinating, I had anxiety over seeing him but ended up giving him the gift and he was so nice about it and even texted me a nice thank you 🤍🤍 ughhh I could cry, I ended up giving the watch to my brother cause I was too nervous to give it to him, he was hesitant to accept the hoodie cause it was expensive but I said khair aap ki birthday hai

and I had to go home and scream into a pillow out of excitement and yes to everyone who judged me before take that 😝😝

S12 Ep 5 'wet'

I liked this ep. A doctor who creates poisonous mushrooms native to South america. He confesses to murdering a woman who wanted to "corporatize water." in his words.

Eventually, it's revealed that he's innocent, and the real killer is his love interest, who murdered the woman out of jealousy because her grandmother favored the vic over her.

I loved the water ownership and the corporations shouldn't have the right to own it, its a human right, even as his ranting (the doc) is considered ranting and EO don't seem to give a fuck.

I don't watch svu in order, i watched 2 seasons 2 then went to 8 to 12, so this storyline seemed new, it genuinely had the potential to be a great one, but, it was undermined by messy writing.

The ADA says she's a team player, then secretly tells the mushroom man's lawyer to take a vacation so they can buy more time to solve the case and convict the right person. Halfway through the episode she leaves because her boss disapproves of her "dirty tricks."

the (lover) killer is exposed and attempts suicide by eating the poisonous mushrooms, survives. idk. The whole thing felt disjointed.

I also didn't understand why the episode seemed to expect so much sympathy for the vic, yes, she didn't deserve to be murdered no one does but she also wasn't a particularly good person. when they have shown less compassion before, the woman who hated her rapist in (I think) Season 2. cant remember hwr name, It felt like the emotional weight was misplaced on an oddball case.

the characters weren't given enough depth.

And why was the grandmother literally evil? Her granddaughter is on the verge of dying, but she's more concerned about leaving her necklace to the other woman's children and worrying about her Mercedes. like okay? Then saying "your mom died" ....

This episode had an interesting premise, but it tried to rush too many ideas in rushed time. I wish they'd spent less time on the grandmother and more time exploring the dynamics or even on the vic's husband. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts, let me know.

is buying gifts rude for certain people?

Basically my crush's birthday is upcoming so mene unke dost se poocha who also happens to be mere bhai ka dost. He said ke I shouldn't buy the gifts cause we're "just friends" aur usse bura lage ga?

now I can't just ask my crush cause I'm a scaredy cat but I was wondering if its too much?

My gift ideas were a simple hoodie but its exported from Canada so its firm quality and expensive, perfect birthday gift

But the hoodie will take another 2 weeks to ship so till then I'll give him his second gift a silver watch (gold haram hota hai ladko ke liye and he's also deen dar like that)

and I thought of getting him a new phone lekin uss ke dost ne bola he might feel bad😭😭 ugh I don't want him to feel bad plus the phone is good and not even overly expensive

idk how to gift guys i think my gifts are pretty nice?

hoodie

watch

phone

but like I don't want him to feel bad cause its expensive cause its not that expensive to me, ugh its so complicated, tips?

Spotted in the wild (of comments section)

Wondering if this has been posted and unsure if its relevant but basically this woman told a man to shut up because he was giving her unsolicited advice. the video is funny tbh. but its random seeing Liz. everyone was shaming her lol

side note using ur own gif is kinda corny

Not to keep beating the dead horse but—

This fan made needle-felted doll from yarn, tbh the doll is quite unsettling but as someone who does sewing i just know that took so much time and they sold it for very little before Taylor sued them. I loved Etsy's statement, so professional and at a time where people weren't afraid to critique Taylor. I read the fans statement and was so heartbroken they said 'we're just fans and didn't mean to profit off her we wanted to share our joy, we didnt even have enough money for lawyers' made me so upset and considering this was during 1989.

Etsy's statement :

Fans like to see themselves as part of the artist’s story, however small. They want to contribute and be creative and have fun. These free, loving, creative minds are being stopped by the very artists who have inspired them. Obviously an artist has a right to their art and people should respect that. But at the same time most people, like us, are trying to be respectful and contribute to the excitement that the artist brings into our lives. When that is taken away, it leaves us with a bitter taste in our mouths. It feels as though we don’t matter, that our ideas and thoughts and creations never belonged to us in the first place. No matter how hard we worked. And for other fans who make art, I’m afraid that this is going to be the future.

Honestly celebrities were something else back then
