54 lasts longer than 36?

Hellooo, I feel that i'm getting quite used to 36mg already, and I lost the 'focus vision' long ago, but the other good benefits remained until a week ago.
Since one week ago I feel that my mind wanders a lot more, and I am a bit stupid from time to time (I work in a factory and I lose track of what I'm doing from time to time? Didn't happen at the beginning.)

Is it moment to ask to go up to 54mg? Will it last longer, also? Or at least the subjective feeling is it possible that lasts a bit longer? I work 8 hours, and by hour 7 it's almost gone and it's completely bad, because I can't stop working and my work requires a lot of repetition and non-stop movement and when the effect is gone I suffer the last hour.

I wouldn't like to add a booster, because my neurologist only gives me XR and I don't want to mess up my sleep.

Should I propose going up to 54? Is it worth it? Basically in 3 months of methylphenidate I'm already in 36, am I going to fast?

I would like to ask for Elvanse also, but I used to do drugs and it's one of the first things I told my doctor so chances are low.

What was your experience when you went up from 36 to 54?

My landlord just opened my washing machine to put a dirty mop

TL;DR My landlord who can use the washing machine all the times she wants, just used MY laundry to clean a super dirty mop without telling me anything. While the washing machine was running. We are only allowed to use the washing machine once, and it has all my normal clothes and work clothes in it. ):

I just need to vent, because I'm losing my mind in this house.

I'm a person who struggles with boundaries, but I'm still trying to put them. I DON'T MIND if anybody asks me beforehand to put anything in the washing machine with my laundry.

The thing is: the rules of the house (we live with the landlord) is that we, the 'guests', can only put 1 WASHING MACHINE a week. And we MUST put one every two weeks with our bed sheets.

I woke up early, I put my washing machine (this includes all my clothes, work clothes, underwear...) and while I'm having breakfast, I hear her opening the washing machine and putting something inside, without saying anything.

She sees me in the kitchen and says 'oh you're awake early' (no sense, as it was 8:30 am and I normally wake up at 7 am lmfao)

The thing is, I've been crying over this (looool) but because it's just one after another. I feel it's completely disrespectful. She puts A LOT OF WASHING MACHINES during the week. The mop was used on Tuesday and today is Saturday.

Last Sunday she asked me to put the mop and some dirty towels with my laundry (it was my bed sheets and towels, so I didn't mind, and she asked beforehand)

But really, just opening and putting the dirty mop of cleaning the floor, with chemicals and shit, with my everyday clothes, without saying anything? If she would have asked probably I would have say yes.

And I don't know who how to proceed because I already said something yesterday about noises when I'm sleeping, and also complained because they leave the pan full of oil... Idk man.

Just needed to rant. Thanks for reading.

Inconsistency of effects?

Does anyone else experience inconsistency of effects when everything around it is kind of similar?
I'm currently in 36mg.
I work in a factory, and my timings at the factory and outside the factory during the week makes it difficult to improvise: so I always try to eat the same to save time, and also sleep the same amount of time, because I need it.

Sooo. Sunday I slept pretty bad, and I had a nice Concerta trip (lol) on Monday. But from Monday to Tuesday, I slept good, my 8 hours of sleep, and I felt I was crashing after 4 hours of Concerta. Jawning all the time, my eyes were closing... No coffee saved me, and I arrived home completely destroyed. (It's really bad to be in a factory and having to fight to get to the last hour after crashing 😭 - and I also had 1 hour and a half of classes after. I was completely brain dead)

From Tuesday to Wednesday (today) I did exactly the same - same breakfast, same food at work, same quantity of sleep, etc... - and today has been an amazing day on Concerta. I've been fully awake, operational, functional, sociable... And lasted the whole working day, and I still had energy at home to organize things, and not to fall asleep directly.

Anybody else experiencing this?

I sleep good, I eat good, I take some supplements, I eat perfectly while on Concerta, no appetite loss at all... I drink plenty of water. I don't know what it could be.

Tips to rent an appartment/studio?

Good morning,

I know the apartment/house situation is not good as I've been looking for months. I've been showing up to 4/5 places a week. (I stopped searching almost 6 months ago, as I moved into a room)

I'm currently a Spanish guy living and working in Gent for two years. I'm learning Nederlands right now, and work as a blue collar in a factory where I make almost 2500 neto (not counting maaltijdcheques and so) Which, I don't know if it's because I'm Spanish but feels like a lot hahaha

I'm feeling a bit hopeless right now, because it's really stressing renting a room that costs almost as much as an studio or an apartment, with people changing every 2/3 months, without being able to fully accommodate or relax. (Most of people passing by don't really care about the place they are staying at all, despite the efforts of the landlord trying to make them care a little bit)

In fact, I'm writing this post now, because I woke up feeling not good at all because of this hahahaha I don't even know what I expect of this post.

The thing is, I'm still with an Interim contract, I've been complaining about this, because of course this limits my opportunities to find a place. They say I have to wait two years (but yeah).

I can't believe it's being this difficult to find a place, and I ask for tips that I use when sending messages or applying, considering that I still have no vastcontract.

I have savings, I could enter a lot of places right now without worrying; but most of the time is all so automatized that is impossible to talk about ones personal situation...

So, yeah, any tips on looking for a place? How should I approach the immos or the owners? How can I make them 'trust' my financial situation?

Thank you very much (:

Gent is a beautiful city and Belgium a super nice country, I hope I find something soon and can really feel it my home for a while.

Anybody going to neuropsychology sessions along the medication?

Eyyy, I'm thinking on going to neuropsychology sessions alongside taking my medication, as my psychologist and neurologist say it will help me learn abilities, etc.

Just got an answer from a neuropsychologist, and got a bit nervous because in the end I feel I'm spending a lot of money in different professionals, sessions, medication... (And yeah, my psychologist, I think, he has nothing else to say to me at all, so I'm just going because I feel is nice to tell somebody my bullshit but I feel is not helping in anything else -he is the one who said I might have adhd-; and the neurologist is only from time to time to check on my medication...)

The thing is: I would like to know experiences of some of you who did both - medication and sessions - and how did it go. Did you really learn to manage? Also, what kind of things did u manage?

I went at first to the psychologist because I felt I have social anxiety and executive disfunction and all this things, and I would like to approach this, but I don't know if this is part of what the neuropsychology can teach me?

I'm a bit overwhelmed right now hahaha I'm in a country where I would like to save money but in some plot twist I see myself spending a lot in mental issues lmfao (which is nice but idk)

Daily lenses for astigmatism with BC 8.7 and DIA 14.5? (Or closest?)

Hellooo. I'm currently using Air Optix Plus Hydraglyde. This are for astigmatism and monthly contact lenses. The thing is, due to my work, I think is better I change to daily ones (pollution, dry air at work, particles...) But it's been difficult to find dailies for astigmatism with this BC and DIA.

Any recommendation? In case there is none, is recommendable to take a higher or lower BC? Should I take the risk? What is the worst case scenario? Is there any way to know if higher or lower is better with my current measure?

I actually wouldn't like to go to an Optic because of time, and I don't want really to be trying there contact lenses and so until I find my perfect... Already passed trough that when I was a teenager hahaha and it is boring. (Also tried a few years ago, and they tried to sell me some strange lenses they were affiliated with, which were HORRIBLE)

Any recommendations? Thx!

How to stop waiting for the 'perfect moment'?

Help, I do nothing I want to do because I don't feel it's THE MOMENT to do it. I don't know how to prevent this. I'm doing nothing, I'm on meds already. I get all important things done but with hobbies or things less important I just can't manage to start. Sometimes it crosses my mind, like 'I could play some X' and then this feeling of 'maybe its not the moment' appears. But IT IS the moment, I'm doing nothing.

I'm constantly waiting for something to happen, somehow. Something better than the thing I'm supposed to be doing? and that's why I don't start to do things that I want to do.

AYUDA HAHAHAHA

Recommendations to take with metylphenidate?

Hello! Recently got diagnosed with ADHD and prescribed Concerta. Been trying it lately and feeling good so far.

Before this happened, I tried a few things that are usually mentioned here: Selank, Semax, Bromantane, GB-115, Agmatine... And a few more things here and there. All with good results, I must say.

I got into the nootropics because I kind of like to optimize and try things, and maybe I was looking to feel a bit like I am feeling with the Concerta, or looking to feel like I was feeling when I used to do amphetamine sulfate or drugs; or maybe I was looking to fix the damage caused by them, idk.

The thing is, by far Concerta is what makes me feel better, centered, focus, no ruminating at all, no loops, less anxiety... I wonder if doing drugs was a bit like auto-medicating lol.

This makes me wonder, any nootropic that works good with metylphenidate? Like, a must?

The ones I mentioned before were my favorites, but stopped taking them as I started sobriety and wanted to discover my baseline (absolutely horrendous) and being in Europe. Is not difficult to get them here at all, but cost extra money because of douanes.

Now that I'm feeling better I would like to know what can I use with metylphenidate. Maybe to focus on things that cost me more? To retain more information? (I'm learning a new language) To help me socialize a bit better? To minimize the damage it cause (if it causes any)?

Thanks!

I (M27) struggling with a man (M37) I met three weeks ago.

Eyyy! I (M27) met this guy (M37) three/four weeks ago in some strange circumstances, at first through and app, but we quickly met - the same day - and we kind of connect without sex. It was not even a date, we basically met because I was looking for dr*gs, and he told me he could get, and I met him and he didnt get them, so we just hang out talking, watching some shows, cuddling and stuff. It was really nice.

In the morning we wanted to go to sleep but, I kind of panicked because I am not used to have sex and I left, he understood and never put pressured on me, whatsoever. (Also it was a bit on my own, as we never talked about having sex so he wasn't even expecting it, but my mind went places.)

After this 'date', we kept talking and the day after we met again, and this 'dates' were almost every two days. We have done multiple things, cinema, eating outside, we went to a lake, videogames, table games... I actually enjoyed everything and was really effortless.
We have been having sex and so, but it's not the main point of the relationship as I struggle a bit with it.

The thing is: he is really clingy, he was telling me really weird things (jokes about getting married, or stuff) and he was the one kind of 'pushing' to meet (I really need time for myself, to recharge, and spend time alone, as I struggle with social anxiety, inattentive adhd and it's really and adventure everytime I'm with somebody)... He even talked about me to his family, friends and even put up a photo of us as a profile picture in WhatsApp.

This has built in me an extremely feeling of being completely exhausted and anxious; as things are going super fast, apparently, on his side (I always pulled the brakes when he started saying things about relationship, or being boyfriends, or stuff.) and it's not what I want or need.

I want to meet him, but I can't get moving, because the anxiety of what I think he expects from us is just impossible to me to handle. Because he is kind, he's been patience with the sex stuff, he's been understanding, he also understood everytime I put limits, somehow... But I feel like everytime we meet it's getting more and more deep in a spider web ?

I can't with the fact that he wants us to meet every weekend. I like my time, my things, and my relax time.

But in the other hand I feel really bad making somebody wait for my timing, and for when I want or fancy to meet. It's not fair for any of us, I think.

I already told him all this today, we were suppose to meet but I couldn't get out of my house. He understood, he didn't argue, he told me he is putting the phone aside to think and because 'everything he says stress me' which is true, Im fcking awful. I feel horrible, because when he says something nice, if I feel that implies expecting something for me I just panic and feel extremely anxious.

I'm already going to psychologist, under adhd meds and soon I will start neuropsichology to develop some abilities in life hahaha.

I just needed to get this out, and hear other peoples thoughts on this matter and maybe advices to handle this situation ? To handle his attitude and to handle my reactions, maybe ? I think this may affect me in other relationships (friends or partners...)

Thank you all, have a nice day and sorry for my english, I'm not native.

TLDR: I (M27) met a guy (M37) three/four weeks ago and we unexpectedly clicked. We've been seeing each other almost every two days, doing lots of things together and having sex, although sex isn't the main part of it. He's very kind and respectful of my boundaries, but he's also becoming emotionally attached very quickly (talking about marriage as a joke, telling family/friends about me, using a photo of us as his WhatsApp profile picture, wanting to meet every weekend). I have ADHD and social anxiety and need a lot of alone time, and the feeling that he expects the relationship to move faster than I'm comfortable with has made me extremely anxious and overwhelmed. I really like him and want to keep seeing him, but I don't know how to balance his needs with mine, or whether my reaction is partly an avoidance pattern I should work on.

Best way of having a blood test done?

Spanish immigrant here! Been living in Gent two years already. In Spain I would normally go to my doctor and ask for it, but I actually never went to any doctor here in Belgium and I don't know how to proceed?

It's mostly for healthy reasons, I am vegan since 12 years ago and I like to check my stats from time to time.

Thanks!

How do you deal with the social anxiety?

Hellooo. I (26M) have been 225 days without alcohol and 197 without drugs. I've been socializing with alcohol and drugs since I was 18. Like, I would be with a beer on the hand everytime I had to socialize and do something.

Now I am even afraid of meeting my friends or talking to them because I am afraid I changed. I still think I am funny and nice to be around, as I can do it normally at work and I get on well with my coworkers, my I can't fight my thoughts and I'm isolating myself completely. I miss talking with my friends, going out and meeting people.

I have been also diagnosed recently with ADHD and currently trying out metilphenidate, I hope this helps me out. While is it easier to do tasks or focus, I still don't have the push to socialize.

Anybody passed through something similar? What did you do? How did you manage?
