I always asked myself if natives would find German a closer language being broken away from the same west germanic branch of european languages. What does it sound to you when you heard spoken German?

I've been searching this verb and it amazed me how many other usages it does with. However, i don't get the "sharp pull" or "tug". What does it mean? I know a bus could jerk to a halt or someone might jerk out of a dream if they had a nightmire or so. It describes a sudden jolt of the body? Also someone jerks out of sleep when they have been called out by a teacher in a boring lesson for instance. How is it to jerk a rope ?

How does it work? I need to always buy the pc game pass or the essential works just fine to play the games i owned?

I stumbled on this comment which i think came from a native speaker:

So the first thing to mind was the idiom "make the ends meet".

Which other examples do you know when the verb "meet" means somewhat alike the other words: fulfill, achieve, reach, satisfy, hit (not sure about this one though) ?
