‼️First of all - I KNOW the charger involved in this issue is bad, that’s not the real problem here. I also don’t think it’s battery health related.‼️

This has happened once before, but it wasn’t plugged in. For some reason, Zedge was using tons of background running that ONE day the first time it happened. I fixed that by turning background off, weird cuz it only happened once and I *always* have that app since 2012.

MAIN ISSUE:

Last night, plugged my phone in at exactly 79% before I went to sleep. I watched one 30 minute YouTube video that I fell asleep during. When I woke up, my phone was at 8%, it had been plugged in all night (I know, bad charger).

The thing is, even with the bad charger, how on earth did it get all the way down to 8% while the screen wasn’t even on? I checked the battery history from the night before, and what it said FIRST thing in the morning.

I’m attaching screenshots to show just how little sense it makes. I hope I covered my bases with the screenshots, I tried to be extremely thorough, if there’s anything I left out that could help figure it out better, let me know, please and I’ll get that info.

ALSO,

It’s been getting very hot about once a week and the battery drops wayyyy faster than usual. I restart it and it goes back to normal. It wasn’t doing that hot thing last night.

Ya know, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a product have a gas warning on it.

Crazy to make baseless accusations on some cookies because you ‘expereinced’ gas. I bet it smells like shit in her house 24/7.

What the fuck is this? Why are there two tabs up top now? Why is it so skinny and wrong looking? It also started showing mostly brand new posts from my subs, I don’t sort my feed by latest. I switched accounts briefly (no more than 2 mins) and when I logged back into this one which is my main, it completely changed.

Plzzz be one of those things that appear shitty for a short time and then go away. That happens sometimes.

Is it to make the ads larger? If so, it succeeded.

You know, the videos from forever ago that get pushed into everyone’s algorithm at the same time? Like short, viral cat videos from 2013 or random old silly commercials. All sorts of stuff. These bots aren’t bought because they’re on every single one of those types of videos, and they all sound the same. Some of the channels are completely dead, so there’s no way they’re buying them.

What’s their purpose? There’s never any sketchy links or videos on any of them. Here is the video these came from. It’s an adorable Japanese cat, uploaded 17 years ago. Just started getting pushed in everyone’s feed 5ish days ago it looks like.

I didn’t bother censoring the names because none of those are humans, and I’m 100% sure they’re not. They’re all brand new accounts.

The guy complaining about them not babysitting his kid added 3 more novels to his review, but it would make this have too many screenshots.

I LOVE the owner’s response. Those slight, clever burns. Glorious.

YouTube has a stupid, new chat feature that links directly to your personal account. When you share a normal YouTube link, random people can click it and instantly message you on YouTube if they are logged in.

To stop Reddit strangers from linking and messaging your YouTube account, always delete the end of the YouTube link starting with the question mark (?) before you post it.

It seriously feels like a new bot tries to post this at least once a week! I don’t even know if it’s possible to find the original OP. I’m from the sw Louisiana area and pretty much all the gas stations have that stuff, it’s not even unique so it’s weird they constantly use that same photo.

Bots sure do love alligator heads.
