My friend lived in NYC in the 1980s. But somehow completely slept on hip-hop. So we had an 'intervention' for him. This is the playlist we prepared for him.
I had quadruple bypass. Grafted from left arm and left leg.
It comes and goes but I still have cases of sharp searing pain in my sternum. Just all over soreness. Throbbing pain in my donor leg. Still times where my left arm scar burns.
Have to meter out my energy. I get tuckered out so quickly.
Anything involving bending down or getting on my back is still agony. If I have to do something high-torque (Turn a really stuck screw, etc.) I'm looking at shooting pain in my chest. I have to replace a kitchen sink in my house and debating whether to recruit a friend or my nephew to be the one to actually get down under there. Doing stuff like that destroys me for a while.
Is it just gonna take another year or so? Or is this just the new normal?
Once upon a time MX records didn't even exist. And it was assumed the A record for a hostname was where you could find the mail server for that hostname.
When we got around to adding things like SPF, DKIM and DMARC, why didn't they make new bona fide record types instead of shoehorning them into TXT records?
Hired to write music for a Pizza Hut advertising campaign, the band delivered a series of unmistakably Ween-style songs, including the now-infamous “Where’d the Cheese Go?

I thought with all the wry fascination with Christianity on the new record, ya'll might enjoy this pastiche from FSOL that's been in my regular rotation for years. A mashup odyssey from Resonance FM circa 2003.
Re-listening, I'm starting to wonder if samples from some of the same documentaries about Christian cults show up in this set as we hear on Inferno.
So for years I collected the on-air sets FSOL did on BBC, KISS FM and Resonance FM. Mostly the Mello Hippo Disco and Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble stuff is what I listened to. But my collection doesn't seem to go beyond 2009. Surely they did more? Can anyone help find stuff newer than that?
HAPPY PAUL'S BOUTIQUE DAY!
This is a minor passion project of mine, almost a year in the works, paying tribute to my #1 desert island disc.
ENJOY!
There was an Instagram clip that went by on my feed where the host noted to Mike D that J.D. Salinger only write 10 stories. Anyone know what podcast that is?
Submitting as the post appeared. Ween is ween.
There is someone besides Pardo or Hammond that has occasionally been used to open skits. I recognize their voice as being present in this role for decades and feel I have heard them this season.
Part of me wonders if Lorne quietly pre-emptively managed to put up a wall with NBC execs. A bit more if a stretch, but I wonder if he's trying to ride things out until Trump is gone to protect the show.
My notion infers a bit about Lorne's stature. And about what it would take to fill the vacuum when he does leave. So I think that part's worth discussing too.
