You guys aren’t gonna believe this…

I spent like an hour doing the dishes a few hours ago. And now I just finished making dinner… Ya’ll, guess what I see when I turn around.

A sink full of dirty dishes.

At what point did the 10 word story prompt stop being 10 words?

I remember that wheel ending being a hassle because Link they would always forget how many words they’ve said. I guess at a certain point they stopped caring about it being 10 words and just stopped when they got a coherent sentence, does anyone know when they officially made that the rule? Was there even a specific episode or did it just gradually become that and nobody questioned it?

Anyone else wish for even bigger lots?

When the 64x64 lots came out, I was pretty excited because I almost exclusively build big properties on the biggest lots. Now, years down the line, I lowkey think these lots still aren’t big enough.

Here’s my thought process. You can make really good exteriors on these lots, big back/front yards, room for maybe a guest house or a garage… By the time you get to the actual main house, there isn’t that much room for interiors.

I just feel like if you’re building a multimillion dollar estate, the bedrooms and bathrooms should also be huge. I just built a giant mansion on the 64 lot, but on the inside I have to basically choose to make either 2 big bed/baths, or a bunch of smaller ones. Neither option really fits my vision.

What kind of millionaire mansion only has 2 bedrooms? Or what kind of millionaire mansion only has small bedrooms?

You know what I’m saying? Not trying to sound greedy or anything, and I know we’re never going to get anything better than what we already have, but I just hate being limited in this way.

Movie theatre etiquette

Saw the new Spiderman in theatres today and I don’t want to seem like such a complainer but christ is there is no theatre etiquette anymore?

My row had two groups of teenagers on either side of me and they would not stop talking, pushing each other around, and going on their phones throughout the ENTIRE movie. Literally there was not one silent moment from them.

The entire time, all I could hear was hushed giggling and talking (using the word “hushed” very loosely here), every few minutes I saw a bright phone turn on, they kept laughing and hitting eachother and moving around and kicking seats. I could also hear people near the front row talking during some moments, the couple in front of me kept texting people with their brightness all the way up.

There was a family with very young kids sitting a few rows down from me and they were dead silent the whole time, so I don’t want to hear any “they’re just kids” bullshit, they looked to be minimum 15 years old and should be able to sit still for a few hours. And, no I didn’t say anything to them in the moment, if I was more confrontational, I would have, however I don’t think they would have listened to me if I had. I also didn’t want to contribute to the noise or risk making it worse or associate myself with them.

Honestly I’m considering seeing the movie again so I can fully enjoy it rather than deal with a bunch of kids like this. Usually I can deal with a few annoying people during a movie, whatever, but I was surrounded.

I don’t want to sound like a boomer complaining about “kids these days”, I’m not that much older than a teenager myself, but for the love of god can people put their phones away and just sit down and watch the movie?

Anyway, the movie itself was great, I’m sure I would have enjoyed it more had I not had so many distractions around me.

Edit: Fuck it, it was at Cineplex Westshore at 6:15 on Thursday. If you were one of those teenagers in that theatre watching Spiderman Brand New Day, you suck and need to grow up

Has anyone ever found [REDACTED] via [REDACTED]

Feldspar. Jellyfish

When you find Feldspar the “correct” way, he’ll tell you to follow the end of the anglerfish skeleton to his ship, then go through the vines and you’ll find the frozen jellyfish.

The jellyfish is on the outside of the planet. Theoretically, could you scope out the planet first, find the jellyfish, and then take the quick route through the tunnels to Feldspar? As opposed to going inside the seeds, following the scout and/or signalscope and avoiding the angelfish.

Has anyone done that on their first playthrough? There’s no wrong way to play the game, but surely that wouldn’t be the intended way to find him lol

Rediscovering Jekyll and Hyde and holy hell what a masterpiece

I really wish there was a pro-shot version of the original with either Robert Cuccioli or Anthony Warlow. I found a really low quality one with Cuccioli from the 90s and it’s about as good as it’s gonna get (yes I know about the Hasselhoff version, I will not comment on it).

I feel like it’s lowkey slept on. Broadway and musicals have changed and evolved so much but I miss these classic ones. The music and the drama is just superb. The performance they gave portraying both Jekyll and Hyde is award worthy (did either of them win a Tony for this role?)

It does have its flaws, but what doesn’t? To me, this musical is up there with Les Mis and Phantom.

If someone does have a better quality version of the show with Cuccioli or Warlow, I would love to see it. I would say I want this show to be revived, but I honestly don’t think anyone could live up to either of their portrayals.

Anyway, just venting. I didn’t fully appreciate it when I listened to it the first time years ago, and I’m just making up for lost time.

Edit: friendly reminder to people that when someone expresses their love for something, they’re not really dying to hear how much you hate it. You can have your opinions and criticisms of it but flat out saying that my opinion is wrong or stupid isn’t something you expect to see from an otherwise respectful community. We’re all here because we love musicals, right?

Their pronunciation of the word "length"

I don't know if this has been talked about, I don't know if people even notice it. It could just be a southern thing, but is anyone else acutely aware of how R&L pronounce "length"?

They pronounce it like "lin-gth". I pronounce it phonetically. Is it just their accents or is it some kind of inside joke? How do you pronounce it? I speak and write British English, and their pronunciation irritates me more than it should lol (all in good fun)

Season pass or buy the DLC separately?

Hi, so I have not played nor even bought this game yet lol. It was highly recommended to me, and I’m finally getting around to playing it.

I want to buy the DLCs as well, each of them are $10.99, but I noticed this season pass that’s on sale for $9.44. Am I misunderstanding it or does the season pass include all 3 DLCs??

It sounds too good to be true, seeing how I can either buy the 3 DLCs separately for a total of ~$30, or buy the season pass and get all 3 DLCs for less than $10. Even without the sale, it’s still cheaper

Any tips on low baller?

I know that the trophy is buggy and that, to my understanding, you have to win 1-0 and then lose the next round. That’s not my concern.

It seems nearly impossible to win 1-0 in the first place. Rarely any team rounds show up on classic, the team rounds that do show up on squads are always something like pop the bubbles or race the laps, all of which both teams are gonna be racking up points like crazy. The only team game that shows up semi regularly is volleyball, but that one is insanely hard to only win by 1 point.

Is it just based on luck? I have to heavily rely on the other players and without a way to communicate to them, it feels impossible. I would think that fall ball is the only team game that I could have a chance at winning 1-0, but I seriously have not played that mode in like over a year.

At this point, I’m considering rounding up a group of 30 people and doing a custom lobby in order to get this damn trophy, but I don’t think that’s a very practical thing to do.

Am I the only one who hates these “theories”???

For a movie that, in my opinion, is so clearly symbolizing abuse and taking away a woman’s autonomy, I’m seeing a lot of theories trying to paint Nikki as toxic or a villain.

Nikki is 100% the victim, through and through, no ifs or buts. But every day I’m seeing people on Twitter trying to paint her like “it sucks what happened to her buuut…”

“But she should have been more confrontational with Bear in the car scene.” “But she should have been open about her feelings towards him.” And in this case, “but she probably already had these toxic behaviours.”

These people trying to push a theory that the real Nikki is just as toxic deep down as wish Nikki does not sit right with me. Granted, these are Twitter opinions and could very well be ragebait or bots, I just came across this one and wanted to use the opportunity to rant about it. Bait or not, I’m still sick of seeing them. I don’t know, what’s your opinion?

Found at my local Homesense

Look I know the bearista craze is over and a lot of people are pretty tired of hearing about it, but I just wanted to share these two cups that I found at a home and decor store today. I don’t think the bearistas were worth the insane hype, but I thought they were cute and I was a little bummed I couldn’t get one, so I was definitely very happy to find these and just had to get both.

This also isn’t necessarily Starbucks related so I don’t know if my post even belongs here, but this is the only sub that would understand the significance of these cups lol

I’m not crazy, right? The turkey bacon club used to have honey mustard on it instead of mayo

I swear on my life it used to be honey mustard, but none of my friends remember that. It was a long time ago, maybe almost 10 years since they changed it but I distinctly remember it because the turkey bacon club is my order and it was so much better with the honey mustard. A little while ago I asked the worker if they had honey mustard and they said they don’t have it at all.

This is one of those little minor changes that I hate so much and would genuinely be so happy if they changed it back.

On that same note, I remember a phase where the turkey they used was like pieces of turkey meat, like from a breast or something, instead of the deli meat. They’ve long since changed it back to the deli but was that not a weird and stupid decision they made for a short period? I only had it once and it was disgustingly bad and dry.

Where are the legendary items?

I don’t understand. I only just started playing this again because of solo chills giving me the chance to get some missing trophies. It’s been years since I actually played the game and I don’t understand literally anything about these fame passes and show bucks stuff.

To my understanding, show bucks lets you buy more stuff in the store and legendary items are more likely to cost those instead of kudos.

Fame passes will unlock legendary items in the fame rank, but it costs show bucks or real money to buy the game pass upgrade.

Soo how do I get show bucks? Where are the legendary items? I’m not going to spend real money. And what about crown shards? I have 19 crowns and 26 shards, but it looks like the cheapest legendary item requires 254 crowns. I have to win 254 episodes?

I literally don’t understand any of this and I need someone to ELI5 it to me.

Also, somehow I have the “head turner” trophy (equip a legendary upper and lower costume piece) but not the “catwalk model” trophy (equip your first legendary customization item) and I literally don’t know how that’s possible. Shouldn’t both of those trophies go hand in hand? Is that a glitch?

Sorry for all the questions, but someone please explain all of this to this idiot

I have the “head turner” trophy but not the “catwalk model”

Am I misunderstanding something? I don’t have any legendary pieces but somehow I got the head turner trophy (equip a legendary upper and lower costume), I don’t know how I got it but shouldn’t catwalk model have come up too (equip your first legendary customization item)?

I think I got it when I equipped some event items. I don’t know if it’s just a glitch or what but it’s really annoying me

Vice Assassination - no gold???

Can someone tell me what I have to do to get gold on this mission? I looked it up and it says I have to complete the mission in under 5 minutes, which I did (I actually had it on 3 min the first time but replayed it), I didn’t alert the cops, and 5k seems to be the max amount I can get.

Is there more money to be earned? This is the assassination with the prostitute. The first time I played it, I killed the guy and took off and got 5k, replaying it I took the time to go to the corpse and take the cash + killed some bystanders, still only got 5k. If I can get more money, how?

I’m really confused

Didn’t realize this until I moved out, but one of my biggest fears is sitting in my bedroom and all the sudden being jumpscared by everything I own crashing to the floor in the main room

Okay, bear with me, because this is such a specific fear of mine. I’m just venting, I’m not looking for any sort of advice or sympathy (I don’t even think there’s any worth giving in this situation), but I think this does fit into this sub because I doubt people who don’t have anxiety really worry about something like this lol

In my apartment, I have a lot of shelves stocked with stuff, I’ve got a bunch of framed pictures on my wall, I have dangly fairy lights and fake vines hanging from stuff on the walls and ceilings, I have one long shelves above my TV that has things like picture frames, little ceramic statues and ornaments, glass vases, books (all within the weight limit for their respective shelves)

Sometimes when I’m in bed trying to go to sleep, I just think what if I just heard everything on my walls and shelves break and fall to the floor in this cacophonous defeaning crash

Not only would that be terrible because, well, all of my stuff is destroyed and probably would also cost hundreds in repairs and damage deposits, but also if it were to happen at night, I can expect my entire floor and the floor below me to wake up to it

It gives me anxiety just thinking about it

It shouldn’t happen. I’ve lived alone for years. I put all these shelves up myself… On second thought maybe that should make me more anxious cause I am by no means a professional and oh god what if I forgot a bolt or something…

Has anyone thought about this? Or have you never once thought about this scenario before and I might have unlocked a new fear for you? In which case, I apologize

I just wish the movie was a bit scarier

I don’t want this to sound like a huge criticism, cause I still loved the movie, but I just wish I was more scared during the whole thing.

When I watched the YouTube short from Kane a couple years ago, I was genuinely really freaked out and kept flinching away every time the character turned a corner or stared down a long hallway. I didn’t really have that same feeling with the movie.

The only time I got freaked out was during the Christmas tree scene when the red hair lady suddenly started coming after Clark. That was the kind of creepy unsettling horror that I wish happened more than just once. I wish there was more uncanny stuff, more stuff hidden in the corners of shots.

Before anyone says anything, I know the real lore of the backrooms, not the “different levels” stuff thats been incorporated into it over the years. I’m not asking for a bunch of jumpscares, or violence, or gore. I know it’s not that kind of movie, but I wanted to be more creeped out and feel uneasy.

To those who have seen Obsession or know a bit about that movie, you know the scene where Nikkie is wearing that disturbing makeup that’s since gone viral? I don’t want to compare the two movies since they’re drastically different, but that’s the kind of uncanny valley stuff that I was hoping was touched upon more in this movie.

Again, still a great movie, I’m not trying to bash it, this is just more,,, constructive criticism and my own personal opinion.

[Discussion] Not clicking with the game but halfway done to the platinum

I feel like people are gonna crucify me for saying this, but I’m playing GTA V for the first time, and I’m just not vibing with it. I can definitely see why it’s so popular, don’t get me wrong, but it’s just not my kind of game.

Ironically I have hundreds of hours playing online before I even bought the campaign, but that was mainly just me messing around with my friends, doing little easy heists and buying/customizing cars. I know I’ve barely scratched the surface of what the online has to offer.

I got all the trophies for online and thought it was about time I bought and played the main game. I grew up with older brothers who played the game nonstop when it first came out, so I’m already well aware of the story and the characters, but playing it myself just wasn’t as much fun as I thought it would be.

I’m not liking the missions, the gameplay is pretty boring, the collectibles are making me want to blow my brains out (I still have to get the spaceship parts, the nuclear waste, do the knife flight challenges, as well as finish the story and get the 70 gold medals). I’ve only got 56% completion and I’m stuck between wanting to keep going and giving it more chances or just giving up on it. I know this isn’t what trophy hunting is about and it’s a bad sign when it turns more into a chore than fun gaming, but man I’m bummed that I don’t enjoy it and already spent so much of my time on it lol.

Anyway, I’m just venting. You don’t need to give me the lecture about how trophy hunting is meant to be fun and whatever, I know that, I’m just bummed that I didn’t enjoy this one. Can anyone relate? Have you gone through some bad platinums?

Did old Biff know he failed?

After giving 1955 Biff the Almanac, he travels back to 2015 and is erased as history is rewritten.

Marty gets the Almanac back and the future is put back to how it was, so does that mean that old Biff travelled back to 2015 and did not get erased? Or was he erased anyway and replaced with a new version of himself that is essentially the same as the original version. You know what I mean? Did old Biff survive to see that his life had not changed and his plans failed?

Did Doc make up the rumour that “Clint Eastwood” died in the ravine?

So the Ravine was originally called Clayton Ravine, named after Clara in the original timeline. In the new timeline, the ravine is called Eastwood Ravine, presumably named after Marty.

There was obviously no body to confirm that he died in the Ravine, so no random civilian or lawman made up the name. Doc and Clara are the only two people who knew the truth.. So my understanding after Marty travelled back to 1985, Doc and Clara spread the rumour that Clint was killed in the Ravine shortly after the showdown with Tannen.

It would make sense that they had to come up with some story as to why Marty suddenly disappeared, especially after he had become somewhat famous for taking down one of the most wanted criminal gangs. Kind of sad that from everyone else’s perspective, he just left and died.

Just wondering if this “theory” is confirmed or talked about at all, I can’t imagine there being any other explanation.
