High stakes dining out (OC)
I read this article about a restaurant in Foster City putting some measures to avoid "children induced damages" and inspired me to draw this cartoon.
Better budget an extra 30% on your next dinner 😂

I have fond memories drawing the France 98 mascot when I was a kid. It felt very refreshing drawing it again 28 years
Then I fell into a rabbit hole of WC Mascots and started tracing them.
so here is my ideal line up of World Cup mascots!
GK the mascot for 2026 Canada (he actually is a goalkeeper)
defense some big lions (England 1966 and Germany 2006) as well as Italy 90 (because you always need an Italian defender!)
In midfield Spain 82, supported on the wings by Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022 (hoping they are fast wingers)
Playmaker and 10 my favorite mascot: Footix from France
98
For my attach a mix of Brasil 2014, WC 2026 and USA 1994 (The mascot name is striker, so figured he could play there
Wanted to share my latest cartoon - any resemblance to reality is pure coincidence 😂👀⚽
These new hydration breaks during the World Cup nostalgically reminded me of the best part of Sunday League! Cheers fellow amateur players 🍻⚽🍻
Playing around with the new comic brushes on procreate in between World Cup games ⚽

🌮 So for the past couple of months, I’ve basically just been eating my way through different taco spots across the Peninsula and Santa Clara Co.
I started tracking the prices out of pure curiosity, and somehow I ended up going through a rabbit hole that ended up in this fun side project haha 😂
This is far from a peer-reviewed economic study, but I've been mapping out the averages and absolute price ranges across a solid handful of local spots to see what our bay area purchasing power looks like right now.
For June, the overall average across these areas sits right at $3.98
Mountain View: Definitely the most wallet-friendly so far, averaging $3.57 (ranging from $3.19 to $3.85).
Redwood City: Holding the line for a solid cheap lunch with an average of $3.69 (ranging from $2.75 to $4.18).
San Mateo: $4.16 (ranging from $3.00 to $4.65).
Palo Alto: Absolutely painful. Highest average ( $4.52), and some baseline spots hitting as high as $5.46 for a single taco.
I definitely want to expand the list of restaurants for a future update to get a way better sample size, so please let me know what your favorite spots are!
Hit me with your recommendations—especially for Palo Alto, where it's been a bit hit-or-miss for me.
Oh and as far as favorites: Los Naranjos in Redwood City is top of my ranking! 🏆

Hi looking to play a bit more soccer this summer closer to home. Wondering if there are any recurring games in the area?
I love playing Career mode and was doing good at first on world class until earlier this spring where world class feels a lot harder to defend and score. I don't want to switch down to professional because there I win everything 5-0 with subs. Is there a way to adjust things so that I can perhaps play world class but "slightly lighter"? Thanks in advance
Has anyone ever gotten sponsorship from banks with heavy local presence? Working on a hyper local newsletter targeting business owners of a certain niche and was thinking about approaching my local BoA or Chase for sponsorship. Not sure if anyone recently dealt with something similar and if mind sharing rough numbers they gave you (AI was hyper Optimistic promising $1000/ month 😂) thanks in advance
Hi, I want to set up a WA business account with a separate phone number. I hear getting a number through Google voice or Surf shark no longer works? I'm based in the US, does this mean I'll have to get a (paid) super cheap second phone plan? Thanks in advance for the feedback
