I have a dumb question

Hey all, really sorry to ask this. I've searched (both here and google) and there are just a ton of answers and decision paralysis has me overwhelmed.

My apartment has a glass cooktop. The largest burners are 9" in diameter. Should I go for a #10 skillet since the cooking surface is also 9"?

Sunset at Crater Lake

I hiked up to watchman lookout on the 13th in hopes of some good milky way shots at night. The clouds came in and milky way didn't happen, but I met a lot of lovely people up there!

Onyx Tropical Weather - Which Onyx Recipe?

I just ordered some Tropical Weather from Onyx and am looking at recipes while I wait. I'm new to pour over, but that's mostly because I'm an espresso gremlin.

I will be brewing with the Origami S w/Cafec filters that it came with and my m47 phoenix grinder with the pour over burs installed. I'm using TWW classic light roast water.

My go to recipe is from Sweet Bloom:

  • 18g dose, 305g water (~1:17)
  • 0:00 Bloom - 75g
  • 0:20 Center Pour - 150g
  • 0:40 Spiral Pour - 225g
  • 1:05 Spiral Pour - 305g
  • 2:30 Drain

I figured I'd also check out the recipe from Onyx, but they have two substantially different recipes.

The first recipe is under Brew Guides:

  • 15g dose, 250g water @ 200F (~1:17)
  • 0:00 Bloom - 50g
  • 0:30 Center Pour - 150g
  • 1:30 Spiral Pour - 250g
  • 3:00 Drain

The second recipe is under the Help Me Brew part of the website:

  • 18g dose, 280g water @ 204F (~1:15)
  • 0:00 Bloom - 40g
  • 0:20 Center Pour- 120g
  • 0:40 Spiral Pour - 175g
  • 1:20 Spiral Pour - 230g
  • 1:40 Spiral Pour - 285g
  • 3:00 Drain

For those who have enjoyed these beans, do you have any recommendations? Is dialing in similar to espresso? For example, my most recent beans (nectar citrillus from hydrangea) improved by moving from the baseline (18g in, 36g out, in 30s ) to 18g in, 45g out, in 25s. It immediately went from "thats a decent shot" to "damn, this might be artificially flavored after all".

Once I pick a recipe and get my draw down within the ballpark, if it winds up tasting over extracted and bitter, which adjustments would you recommend to get that sweet juicy cup?

I'm losing my mind

I have d2:r installed via the battle.net app.

In battle.net, when i go to d2 classic games for d2 and d2:lod, it says "In Library"

the battle.net app only has d2r resurrected installed

The website shows my CD license keys under my account.

Next to the license keys is the following download link:

https://us.support.blizzard.com/en/help/article/13867

That page has the following 2 links for d2 and lod:

https://download.battle.net/?platform=windows&product=d2&locale=enUS

https://download.battle.net/?platform=windows&product=d2lod&locale=enUS

Opening either download as a windows admin opens the blizzard downloader (screenshot above) which immediately fails out.

That page has 2 other links:

http://ftp.blizzard.com/pub/diablo2/patches/PC/D2Patch_114d.exe

http://ftp.blizzard.com/pub/diablo2exp/patches/PC/LODPatch_114d.exe

These downloads seem to be just patches and need an underlying game to work.

There is a link to a forum post:

https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/blizzard/t/main-thread-failed-network-error-for-diablo-ii-lod-set-up-files/4475/13

I've tried both English(US) and English(EU) links. Both bring up the blizzard downloader, which doesn't work.

What am I missing?

Are those Dead pixels?

Canon EOS 600D, photo with a cover on. Is it worth to keep this camera for 125$ with 18-55?

First plumeria, how's she looking?

My mom sent my wife and I a plumeria stick in the mail. It was literally wrapped up in a cardboard box. It arrived not looking good at all - almost all the leaves had fallen off, dirt was everywhere, roots were exposed.

Within the first two weeks, leaves started getting holes and what looked like burn spots, so I moved it into the bedroom, which has tons of bright ambient light (south facing windows). Its now throwing out tons of new growth! I hope that means it's happy.

What is the "Niche Zero" for light roasts? [750 USD]

edit: tl;dr i'm not the best with words. is there a grinder in the same price range as the niche zero/duo, which is as good at making a light roast as the niche zero is at making a medium-dark? If not, would the options like the lagom casa or timemore 064s/078s provide an improvement on light roasts when compared to the niche?

I absolutely love my niche for medium, medium dark, and the occasional medium-light roast. I've had it since the indiegogo campaign and its held up so well over the years. its just bomb proof and is pretty easy to dial in. Paired with a profitec go, i've been very happy with my set-up. its as "end game" as I've wanted to go in terms of $$.

I'd like to start diving more into light roasts. I recently moved to a new city and have been really enjoying fruity and funky light roasts and co-ferments at local cafes/roasters. I think it would be more cost effective to add to the niche instead of trying to replace it outright.

For the same money (500-750 usd), are there any grinders that are as good at light to medium roasts as the niche is at medium to dark?

one of the baristas recommended the lagom casa. it seems like a good contender. after reading reviews, the timemore 064s/078s seem like they are worth considering too. what else should I be looking at?

Is my pid working as intended?

When I turn my machine on, my pid registers at 45⁰F. My apt is kept at 70⁰F. There's no way the water in the machine is that cold.
