Google Pixel 11 Pro battery slightly worse, XL slightly better

The Pixel 11 Pro XL lasted 14 hours and 28 minutes in our custom battery test, which involves continuous web browsing over a 5G connection. That's only eight minutes more than the Pixel 10 Pro XL's 14 hours and 10 minutes.

The Pixel 11 Pro actually does worse than last year's Pixel 10 Pro, with a battery life of 13 hours and 25 minutes compared to the 10 Pro's 13 hours 43 minutes.

So how much was your setup worth that was unusable for 5-6 hours?

Mine was half a grand. What was yours?

I've seen another post say it but it's unacceptable that nothing functions whilst offline. I know he's a much older devices and not really capable of llms offline but they need to fix up.

How are your cases holding up?

My official case for P9 Pro XL, worn since launch, has really worn away in the corner and a bit broken off near the charging port.

For £20, I have definitely had cases in the past hold up better. Using soft plastic/rubber was a mistake.

How are yours doing and are you happy with the quality?

Anyone tried Wild Antiperspirant that had their normal refillable deodorant?

I've been using normal Wild for about 8 years, and whilst it has massively reduced the amount I sweat, the summer months in the UK have been harsh more recently so anything to reduce the smell would be great.

How to accurately access IOG Vs other tarrifs?

I have switched to IOG after figuring out my overall car charging as % of house electricity, and when I can do wash loads etc. From my time on Tracker I have Octopus Watch app among others and they're saying for multiple days I am spending extra than the price cap. I'm not sure if they're just looking at overall KW and not applying the nightly rates correctly, but it seems like they know those rates so I'm not sure. Agile in my workings was similar.

Only been on it a few weeks but wondering how everyone else does it. Might consider Agile if continues like this.

Pickup time from nursery etiquette

Our nursery is 7:30 to 6:30. One of us usually finishes work around 4 so we can pickup around 4:30, but wondering whether we should or leave them their until later so we selfishly can have more "us" time or clean house, etc? There's also the logic that you're paying for X amount of hours and meals and leaving early means you miss out on those, so it's partly a money thing but also time thing. Our little one is 12 months now, just starting.

I've seen a few posts but nothing within last couple years so wanted to get a fresh perspective.

Is it time for a new pair, or repair?

The bottom on the right is slightly detached at the front and the cork is coming out. Had these maybe 10-15 years, so they've had their use. I hear the new ones aren't as good, is it worth getting these repaired or just getting new ones? Thank you

Octopus app says unplugged at home, I am at home and need charging!

Hi all,

Relatively new to IOG, signed up a few days ago. Test charge took over an hour but did work and it did a few hours charging.

I am sat at home with my MG4 plugged in to Hypervolt Pro 3 and it's saying it's not plugged in. I have cleared cache and unlocked car/relocked.

I have it set to 40% by 8am, but my Hypervolt says no charging schedule in place and in octopus app it has three slots after 5:30 which is odd.

What could be causing this? We need charge for work tomorrow, but need to go to sleep as very tired parents.

Anyway to find photos by phone folder or camera manufacturer?

I have photos saved from my baby monitor, which were in the DCIM folder then in a monitor folder within that. Google Photos had "Camera" folder backed up, which I presume is the DCIM folder, as freeing up space has removed all backed up baby monitor folders from my phone itself.

Now I cannot find a way to find them based on the folder they were saved in, or the camera manufacturer?

Surely there must be a way, otherwise backing up multiple photo albums, should be a way to discern them in the cloud?

Thank you

Screenshots not cleared from device using Free Up Space tool? And other issues...

I use the free up space tool regularly and notice it clears less than what it says it can clear. I also noticed the screenshots folder has under the menu item for a photo "delete from device" despite the folder being backed up and free up tool used. I did get rid of some by multiselecting and removing from device and now they're not showing under the folder, as if it is unaware they were part of it. Clicking under collections screenshots no longer shows th se pictures. They were still under the main photos feed.

in order to try kick things into gear, I cleared the Google Photos cache and data and now it's showing basically no photos, not even camera photos that were backed up and I can see in Google Photos on my desktop. It for a moment also suggested it was backing up all my screenshot photos again, which is wrong. Now screenshot photos are showing but nothing else.

Petition: allow funded childcare for working parents to start after maternity leave ends

I've started this petition after sorting out our own funding, which while I'm grateful to have, is frustrating to see it is processed each term and not when you come off maternity leave.

Summary: Eligible working parents can receive up to 30 hours of funded childcare per week for children aged from 9 months old, but support only starts from the next school term. This means parents returning to work after a cut-off pay full nursery fees for months despite already being eligible. A parent returning in May will not receive funded childcare until September. Parents do not plan maternity leave around school terms. HMRC should be able to process support from the date parental leave ends

8 out of 10 Cats Countdown...

How is this still going? Does anyone really like it still?

I used to like it when C4 did it originally, it felt funny and original and a good idea. Now whenever it comes on after Taskmaster I can't wait to turn it off. It's so forced and they don't really do the game for most of the show. Should have stopped when Sean sadly passed away and Jon stopped doing it.
