I’m a 1st year (going into the 2nd) Computer engineering student and I’m going to learn java in the summer semester that consists of two months. what tips do u guys have for me to become good at it in these 2 months? what free sources would u recommend for me to study and learn from so that I could get better and stand out. any tip would be appreciated

how long do you guys think it would take for a complete beginner like me to become good/ get a grip on the game? I'm 19 meaning I finished HS a year ago, my senior HS year gpa is 98.4 and I was promised to study at a very good university but when the time came to register to unis my parents forced me onto a very bad uni bc it's cheap, for a year now I've been crying every sinlge day bc they lied to me and didn't keep their promises, other than that my father doesnt want me to live my life the way I want. he always objects to anything I ever say or do as he's very religious, more than that he doesn't pay me and my brother's tuition fees yet he always has a saying and doesn't want me to change universities or even live in a dorm close to my university as I get so tired bc the university's city's traffic is so horrible and it makes me so tired. this whole thing is making me so tired as I really wanted to study in a good school but I ended up here. I genuinely hate him like how could you be so selfish to the point where you're not willing to help in our tuitions fees, you always have something negative to say, you're forcing religion onto me and threatening me if I won't obey you, how much of a failure can a "father" be? I always wonder what I've done to god for him to give me this shitty life??? I really am thinking of taking my own life. idc. I've been alive for 19 years and I don'r remember any year that I've enjoyed, matter of fact I spent all my life inside my room as I grew up suicidal and depressed and when I decided to give life a chance this happens to me. I don't care I really wanna end it all there's no way life could get better I've come to a certain belief that god hates me and that my life is meant to go against my wishes in everything. this is just a tiny bit of the bad things happening to me. I don't want anyone to try and defend my dad or even my mom, both of them are horrible liars and selfish people, I have to go through the most humiliating moments every time I ask them for something and they always have to remind me of their "favors" when they're in fact their duties towards me. I can't believe I have to live such a life

after I've done high school I scored a gpa of 98.4 in the industrial stream in my country's education system. I knew I wanted renewable energy engineering but my mom convinced me to go CSE bc the future is heading towards tech, ai etc etc
i dont like my major I haven't really given myself a chance but I'm so scared as it's a skill based major and I'm already seeing what my peers are doing and they're so ahead of me and I'm so scared. what should I do do I switch to the major I like or give myself another chance in CSE and continue up to the 2nd year to see if I like it or not? other than that I really think that CSE is filled with students and graduates who really end up unemployed even if they were so skilled so help please
