Everyone says Roger's game is simple, why don't they say that about Marcelo?

I always hear how simple Rogers game is and just fine tuned to the highest levels. But Marcelo is kind of looking to 3 positions on bottom (butterfly, slx, x) the few same passes, submissions (RNC, guillotine, north-south). Its also a "system"/positions you learn as a white belt. So why isn't his game looked at the same way?

I obviously know none of their games are "simple" or basic and they have been fine tuned.

Indoor winter activities

I know we are a long way away from winter, but I'm trying to start my research now. What do you like to do to help get some energy out in the winter months, when long walks are harder to do? I was recommend to buy toys that you can put treats in and it's almost like a puzzle for them to get it out. I heard this is something that is pretty exhausting for them and a good way to get their energy out. What have you found to work well?

Muay Thai podcasts?

Im a huge podcast person, do you guys(and gals) have any recommendations for podcasts that are Muay Thai related? Could be fighters, a hobbyists experience living and training in Thailand or even if they go into the history, thats cool too.

It could be an entire podcast show, or just a single episode doesn't really matter

thanks!

I don't "get" shadowboxing?

Im very new, but I keep reading how everyone suggests to shadowbox and it will help you improve. Honestly, I just feel kind of like an idiot everytime...is this normal? What am I actually supposed to be doing/visualizing while shadowboxing?

For those who tried and didn't like grappling martial arts, why?

We had the opposite thread for the reasons why people liked grappling arts. For those who tried it and didn't like it, why?

For me, Im a purple belt in BJJ. It's fun, but I really dislike how its 100% sport and the art has fully turned into all of these little mini games on how to score points/advantages to "win a match".
To add, it really beats the heck out of your body.

Are Wheatens generally friendly?

My mom loves Wheatens, she has plenty of yard and is rather active. She's also retired so she can spend plenty of time with him/her. But she does host a ton, are they generally friendly? especially with strangers?

Workout routine to gain size AND strength

Id really like to put 10-15 lbs of muscle on (obviously some fat is fine, but lean muscle is ideal).

I plan to workout 3x a week, doing full body, compound work. a horizontal push, horizontal pull, a vertical push, vertical pull, a deadlift, squats.

I know I need progressive overload and I know ill have to eat more (I was thinking 1G of protein per desired body weight).

where I always get caught up is the set to rep range. There is almost too much info out there. for someone trying to get strong and add mass, what is the ideal rep and set range I should be aiming for?

thanks

Difference between lazy butterfly and 1/2 butterfly?

I was looking at the chapters on Adam's Butterfly 3.0 and I noticed he has a section that is lazy butterfly and one that is 1/2 butterfly. I always thought these were pretty much the same, and he just called 1/2 butterfly, lazy butterfly? Whats the difference?

Anyone train BJJ for awhile, then quit? If so, why?

I started BJJ a long time ago, when it was based on self defense and fighting. Life/family came around so I took a VERY long time off. I recently came back and I don't love the new direction...I know its an unpopular opinion, but the heavy sport focus just isn't for me. So many blue belts I train with cannot do a takedown or escape a headlock, but they can certainly heel hook me from K guard or whatever lol.
