Official 25th Anniversary Poster for ‘Wet Hot American Summer’
Any info on these two maps?
Hi - I received these two maps as gifts years ago from my parents and I’m looking to sell them but have no idea what they might be worth. They’re not reproductions, to the best of my knowledge.
The US map is from 1852 (I believe) and from Mitchell’s School and Family Geography.
The world map has no info about maker from what is visible in the frame. Given some of the country names, it seems to be early 1900s/late 1800s.
Both are in very good condition, I’d say. Both have some minor discoloration but nothing significant. And the world map has a crease.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Hello Nasty Cardboard Case
Posted in the other Hello Nasty thread but figured others would dig this too.
A few weeks back my local shop posted this curious, cardboard copy of Hello Nasty for sale. It was not surprisingly sold by the time I made it over there (a day or two later). Asked $35. More than I would have spent but a super cool collectible. I can’t say I’d ever seen this case style before.
Clear Coolant?
My 2001 has been overheating the last few days. Went to check the coolant level and it’s definitely really low. So low I couldn’t tell if it was orange or green. I stuck a paper towel down in the reservoir and it came up clear. Not really sure what to do now. What kind of coolant should I use? Should I just flush the whole system and start from scratch?
Changed My Shocks Today
I know it’s not a major job, but as a relative mechanical noob learning as stuff arises, it felt good.
One of the bushings was totally destroyed and my Jeep had been making an awful metal on metal clanking noise for months before I finally figured it out.
Searched all over this sub for shock recommendations (Ranchos ftw). First ordered the wrong length. Then nearly tore my rotator cuff trying to loosen one of the old nuts. Right shocks came today and they still fought me every step of the way. The videos I saw online showed two bolts for the top mount. But on mine, one hole was threaded and the other was just a hole. So trying to reattach the bolt while holding the nut in place from behind with barely any access was a major pain in the ass. But after a couple hours I got both of them locked in solid and she rides quiet as can be now.
It feels good to figure shit out on your own.
That’s all.
Anyone else searching “peas” on Reddit?
Just me? Cool.
TJ Won’t Jump
2001 TJ. Left the headlights on overnight and the battery is dead. Hooked it up to jump. Struggled for a second or two but then fired up. While sitting in the cab, there was this really scary sounding rattle so I shut the engine off. Turns out it was just the fan hitting the jumper cable (I think). Tried to jump it again and now nothing. Sitting with the donor car running for 10+ minutes and not a peep from the Jeep.
Any ideas? Thanks!
Nabbed it for somewhat of a steal from Discogs. The last but certainly not least album to complete my Beastie Boys collection.
On the Star Wars draft, Mal tried to draft R2D2 and C-3PO in the “Skywalker family” category and was resoundingly denied. She affirmed that the Big Picture fandom would agree with her that Anakin built C3PO and they both were his brothers (or kids?). An insane take, I’d say. What do others think?
