Source: Black Panther and the Crew #3

Aight, so boom. I got it in my head how Storm never had any pictures of her as a child until she met her grandparents, who only have pictures of her until she was six. So there's a gap between ages 6 and roughly 20-22, when she joined the X-Men. (Lifedream 2025 places her age at 30.)

Anyway, in my head canon, the camera that started all the trouble in the Dickey miniseries (Storm #1, 2006) was eventually lost and found and pawned and etc. It lands in the hands of the daughter of a recently deceased photographer, who replaced the old memory card and never took it the old out of his camera bag. Most of the pictures on the card were corrupted after so many years, of course, but three of them remained, and the daughter managed to get word all the way to T'Challa. You can see two of the pics (the third one is the mongoose pic).

I always got the impression that being a king was something that was T'Challa felt was his duty, not his desire - hence, his plans to abdicate the throne before his daughter Turkana was even born. Unfortunately, Kani renounced the throne...then N'Dare passed...then Uzuri gave it up...then N'Yami demanded 10 years of freedom before she would agree to be queen - which T'Challa had to agree to lest Lil' Wolverine be named his heir. This man was TIDE, y'all.

The Second Wakandan Invasion put Mimi on the throne four years early, but T'Challa is finally free to do nothing but science and Storm and the old man couldn't be happier.

Storm placed high on both the cross ship AND the regular ship list! Unlike the other big shipping poll, this one didn't cull the botted votes But just like the other poll (I'll find it), the results seem pretty consistent with all big shipping polls with Storm in them.

The fastest way to ID T'Choro artists is to look under the #WakandanRoyalFamily tag on X. This is where you will find TONS of talented artists, all of them named and tagged. This thread is for the artists I have hired more than once - many of them over and over. If you see a T'Choro piece under the WRF tag, that means I vouch for that artist. (Not all art gets posted.) Friend tchororeceipts to get new art and WIP updates.

Note that just b/c an artist does T'Choro art doesn't necessarily make them T'Choro Tribe, so I'm not saying they are. Also note that I will NEVER hire an artist that has done any Shitverine work, so there's no worry about that.

Finally, I'm going to start a thread of proposals and give artists the chance to post their art and hopefully get some work. If T'Choro fans start pooling their money together, we can hire more artists to do more art. 10 people donating $10 can go a long way, ESPECIALLY in the smut department.
