Swiss club stickers spotted in random places: FC Sion in Shaftesbury, Dorset

Following on from that recent MHD chat, this baffled me when I came across it.

I tried to find any record of Sion playing vs Bournemouth in a pre season friendly or something but no evidence of that ever happening.

You do get a few tourists checking out the hill from the old Hovis advert but would it have aired in Switzerland?

And why slap a club sticker on a random lamppost on the other side of town?

Bizarre

Which tournament, from past or present, could the BBC have used the Chelsea Flower Show’s absolute banger of a theme song for its coverage and got away with it?

On a vibes basis

Unai Emery is obviously pure Europa League now. Is there a player/manager more ‘pure competition x’ than him?

Not knowing any Freiburg players, who manages them or where they are on a map until the day of a major European final

This is the new Europa League format as it was intended.

Roll on the exact same thing with Rayo Vallecano in the conference league next week.

Baffling football Wikipedia edits: Simon Grayson apparently being Brazil U23 assistant coach

I’ve searched far and wide and cannot find any evidence that this has happened. I so want it to be true.

The only question I have is, why would someone do this?

This whole paragraph by Angus Kinnear is a huge huge issue

‘Happily dissatisfied’ - what on earth is that supposed to mean? That will not wash with evertonians.

Neither will ‘we were able to stop looking over our shoulders by Christmas with relegation fears all but extinguished’ . Why are we still this scared club fearing relegation above looking towards anything ambitious?

He should not have come out and said any of this until the season was over and then properly relegated on what has happened.

Yesterday was the turning point for many fans on Moyes but in my opinion, this Kinnear bloke’s future should be questioned also. What has he ever achieved to be working at Everton?

Maybe if the Friedkin’s actually attended matches, they’d be able to see what a state this club is currently in. Stability is not progress. It shouldn’t be the goal for a club our size.

We need winners at the top, in the dugout and on the pitch and we need them now.

How do you prefer M’s office to be designed?

As many ship paintings as possible and a big leather door are a must for me

Wes Streeting plays the safe five yard pass of politicians using football analogies

Doesn’t attempt anything too fancy. Lucky that he only tweeted it as well, as it probably would have been excruciating to see him say this in an interview and potentially get probed on further football speak.
