We’re watching season 10 but bitch you experienced her support first hand???? She did her bidding this whole season. So many things to call her but honestly she’s mad weird.
Why are so many people upset Kelsey’s ex basically still pays for everything for her? He obviously doesn’t have to but I think it’s nice that he does. I know for a fact people wouldn’t have this type of reaction if she was actually married to the guy and he still paid for things. It’s almost as if people want to see her suffer for the choices she made. I do think it’s a little weird that so many are fuming because they want to see that and aren’t because he’s still providing for her. I don’t think any woman should fully depend on a man and relinquish their financial independence (that goes for Kelsey & Alicia) however, Kelsey isn’t being completely helpless she’s trying to kick start a career for herself. If she was complaining about her life choices I would understand the reaction but she’s not. Maybe that’s another issue for some of you, she doesn’t seem to have enough regrets for you lot.
Regarding her decisions though, I do think she went about it quite foolishly and wasn’t thinking about the future. She knew he didn’t want marriage or kids while she wanted that so their breakup was inevitable. Get what you can, secure yourself and leave. This ex of hers seems quite generous so if she had any interest in furthering her education by getting her masters degree as her back up plan he’d pay for it. She’s interested in hair and makeup, why not get him to fund a business plan. She could have left already owning a salon and earning her own money. 10 years with a wealthy with nothing to show for it but some designer. Still more than what some get from their actual marriages though. More than what some get in and what they get out. Maybe that’s why they’re mad. Hmm.
No one can blame Ciara for Amanda’s betrayal and though I am on her side I must admit that she played a role in her own heartbreak regarding West. How many different ways does he have to show you he’s not that into you and it’s all a game to him? Fool you once shame on him but to fool you a second time. Come on! I knew I was going to hate this season just off the trailer alone. I was so annoyed by fans who wanted them back together earlier in the season too. What I didn’t expect was this scandal but yk what something drastic needed to happen for her to remove those rose colored lens. It sucks it came at the expense of losing a friend in the process but I fear she would’ve been crying on my screen for two more summers about West 🙄.
The first time I wouldn’t say she got played, this time around I would say so. Mixed signals from West or not her lack of discernment needs to be talked about. This man showed her who he was when he wrote a NYT article saying how much he didn’t like her anymore. He sat across from her blank at the reunion after that while she was crying. He made out with someone right next to her this summer only for her to be crying to him that she misses their friendship the next episode? Like do not piss me off and stand tf up! Then after their long overdue talk she’s telling Mia he’s her person??? He didn’t say he wanted to get back with her and here she goes jumping the gun. I sat there lost and annoyed asf. Now she’s making out with him in the upcoming episode. Oh brother make it stop!
I’ve been saying for a while he used her for a storyline and though he gained social currency from being with her, his plan backfired in many ways so now he resents her. To be as impartial as I possible can, in some ways I too would be upset if I was single trying to enjoy my summer and couldn’t to the full extent because someone I dated two summers ago would be upset seeing me with other girls. Let’s be real, at what point would it be okay for West to hook up with girls at these parties, make out, bring them back whatever. This excludes Amanda ofcourse because she’s Ciara’s friend and Kyle’s wife and it’s just gross eeeyuck! Her crying because another girl was on his lap annoyed tf out of me. He could’ve been more respectful for sure and would have been if he actually considered her but also he should be able to have girls on his lap. Again, Amanda not included!
West seems like the type who just wants a challenge. No interest in the person but just wants to know he can have them or get them back if he wants. Ciara was no longer a challenge and she was overly going. She showed him in different ways that he could disrespect & embarrass her and she would still come back.
I saw recently that people who give their partners chances over & over again are often the same ones who do that with their parents because they keep hoping it’ll get better. I wonder how much her relationship with her father impacts how she navigates her relationships with men. Whether we want to admit it or not a lot of the things we do are due to our parents.
Ugh, the fact that he was able to bag Ciara on his first season really made him think he was that guy. Which is why he discarded her after. He knew the fact that he was able to get her would open doors for other women to date him “he’s not that cute but yeah he dated Ciara Miller from Summer House” vibes. It gave him social currency and it clearly went to his head.
I liked the franchise better when the women were actually friends. Friends will obviously have disagreements so the moments they argued were funny and entertaining. However, what I loved the most were the moments when we got to see “love, bonding, trust, real friendship 😭”.
I want to see sisterhood, I want to see them laughing and having fun. Not always trying to create a moment for the camera. It just feels like I’m watching a bunch of strangers with no chemistry interact.
We’ll never get back OG Atlanta but RHORI & even Ladies of London are highlighting a key factor that’s missing and that’s friendship. Friendships that run deep (do not say Porsha & Shamea) where everyone is connected somehow and have history.
Hot take but I’d be okay with a complete recast of the franchise just to have that. Atlanta is full of successful black women. It can’t be that hard to find a group of entertaining, educated, successful black women who actually like each other.

The word parasocial has been overused and quite frankly has lost its meaning because so many people use it out of context.
What I will say though is that far too many people in this fandom act like the SH cast are their close personal friends. They act like they get a say about who is in the friend group and who isn’t. She probably won’t be a cast member but she’ll be in their actually lives. I don’t want her on the show tbh the harassment from the fandom would be too much. We’ve barely seen her and the way she’s constantly picked apart by this fandom is disgusting.
I will also reiterate that the only thing she has done wrong the minuscule amount of times she has been on our screens is bring up Amanda’s marriage the first time meeting her. While I think she was trying to find a common ground to bond, I don’t think she should’ve started there and overstepped. That was so cringe.
She wants to be on the show or she just wants attention. Seeking attention like this when her kids are all over her page is not a good look at least archive them pictures if you want to be messy.
Rulla needs to stand up! Her recent WWHL was sooo embarrassing. The fact that her husband has allowed a woman to publicly taunt and disrespect her marriage by being unfaithful to her should be enough for her to leave smh. To each their own I guess but I just can’t respect women who don’t seem to respect themselves enough to leave a marriage.
So basically West and Amanda’s plan is to not acknowledge Ciara in all of this and the friendship betrayal. They will maintain that they were both single as if her martial status was the only factor they should have even considered before they started.
I didn’t really like Amanda, I just tolerated her presence because of Paige and Ciara but my goodness her voice is annoying. Was she always this insufferable??
To top it all off, her new man isn’t even backing her up. He’s probably sitting there on the couch looking blank, fidgeting and biting his nails 🙄. The fact that she can speak up now shows she was really just playing a role on SH to get sympathy from the audience.
