Hey people, here's the latest on hosting your own TurtleWoW with bots: this is automatically rebuilt Docker server, open source and linked to Shyalya's fork, so everyday it gets newest fixes, which you can apply with one click using my scripts

I rebuilt it for any CPU, so as soon as you have enough RAM, you will always get newest, stable, safe TurtleWoW 1.18.1 server with bots, which are quite advanced. Also I added scripts to start\stop the server, create account, repair database if needed, and also backup and update it all, so you don't have to use a single command - get it and run it!

You will need extracted data files, which you can get from my previous version of the server, all the links are on YT, because there are too many of them to post here, there are client, server, github, docker links, so check them out there

If you have any suggestions about tweaking default config values - feel free to send them anywhere! I have never done any repacks myself, but would be glad to tailor a good twow repack for everyone to enjoy!

Basically, they injected a license into the client so no one can play it on other servers than theirs. Is it Azeroth for all?(which is stated on their website)

Furthermore, even character list requires license lmao, so you definitely should avoid that

Aside from licensing drama, launcher asks you to install certificates, as they say, "to let you share files to other people". Guess which files and to whom, this is clearly "press yes to send your passwords to us"

And lastly, they didn't even care to remove russian word "release" in the game login screen, and they operate in that law-free zone, thinking they can suck money out of your "voluntary donations" in private bitcoin

Hey people, just want to share this vid on WoWee, some of you asked me to make it, this is basically remade WoW client with Vulkan and a few new graphical tweaks such as upscaling

It supports 3 expansions and TurtleWoW, so I suppose it belongs in this subreddit, as it is PLAYABLE on four of these servers. It may seem broken, but developer is super friendly and makes new commits at lightspeed. Performance is different per zone, so don't worry if it's laggy, it is getting fixed!

It is open-source, you can compile it yourself if you're worried, and hope you at least have some fun with that!

Hey people, I want to share with you this INSANE find of a server, I can't even believe this exists - this is custom WoTLK server repack with 20 races, new zones, most of them are backported from future expansions and "de-Cata-fied", new models, bots, flying everywhere and so many features, I'll list some of them here:

Custom world events, bosses, reforging, treasure hunts, challenge modes, transmog, selectable racials

It's huge, guys. Though, honesty first - with such a scale, some things may get broken, but it tries to be stable and cool, this repack is in development, I've seen some videos with newer races, including Murloc, and also it features source for anyone worried about security, so you can get that and compile it yourself

Hey guys, some people asked me a lot about the best experience of local hosted server and here it is! AzerothCore has been absolute banger with its flexibility, simplicity and advanced features

This video also includes using Classic 3.4.3 client on this same server using custom HermesProxy fork, though not without issues, but in general it's very playable like that

This repack has over 600 000 views on OwnedCore and has proven to be legit, while I skipped all the ads filled links and provided you with direct links in the video description, as there are A LOT of links, I can't put them all here on Reddit

Hey people, it was obvious that this would happen and here is Twow 1.18.1 with BOTS, compiled fresh from source with compile guide included for any of you worried about repacks and all of that

I hope to make a good reputation here by posting this content, so please no toxicity in comments, I really tried to make it good for people, fixing the crash after compilation and even providing you a guide and fixed file so you can do it yourself

This server uses Shyalya's fork with playerbots, I tweaked conf a bit to make it lag less, though it's all up to you to tweak however you want!

Hey people, me again, want to share this with you, this is LEGIT Twow 1.18.1, newer one, server in Docker, easy to set up, open-source and working

You can even play it with friends, some things may be broken still, keep that in mind, but I have tested new zones and even dungeons and most of them work, quests, mobs - all of that

I can't post links here as Reddit automatically filters it, but all of them are on YT with backups, TWO clients available, with HD models and addons and bare simple one, links to server files and source on GitHub too

WRATH CLASSIC NATIVE SERVER(and open-source)

Yes, it became possible to host this locally, without proxy, no disconnects due to that. While it's not 100% playable, around 70% is done and working(as said in source GitHub page)

It is compiled, includes data files, has a link to source and launches in 3 clicks (MySQL, bnetserver and worldserver)

Hey people, I've stumbled upon open source recreation of vanilla which seems to be in a good condition, many things work and if fixed - it may be a nice way to have it, possibly a better customizable client. It already replicates the whole network protocol for Vmangos servers and it's playable there!

FSR surprisingly makes it a little bit better, but then it's pixelated so no good too
