can you terraform..?

I found a nice quiet system that I’ve put down roots in but one of the planets is just a rock… can I fix that, like Dyson Sphere the sumbitch or something…?

The early bird... is worth two in the bush

https://www.hmssurprise.org/sites/default/files/inline-images/aubrarms.gif

Quarterly or and gules, on a fess azure three spotted-dicks, between in the first quarter an 18-pounder, in the second a sextant, in the third a fiddle sea-going, and in the fourth between a single star and a group of three stars the sun in his splendour.

Crest: on a ship's wheel a telescope of brass and cutlass saltire-wise.

Supporters: dexter a sloth debauched; sinister a Testudo aubreii proper, the whole upon a compartment representing th'impervious horrors of a lee shore (sort of).

Motto: Avis matutina... duabus in dumo par est.(The early bird... is worth two in the bush).

It's meant to represent skill at navigation, power of arms, a delight in astronomy and music, love of puddings and so on, with the motto exemplifying Jack's way with words.

I figured it out… I was using the meter wrong :| [follow up]

…and I’m old as dirt so I mistakenly said “rectification” when I meant inverted

the Fluke 325 Clamp meter had to be under a load, and using the clamp to measure Hz

but proof of concept is “eureka~ed”

I’m trying to build a “radio” from my junkyard parts piles after being an industrial electrician for the past 25yrs and hoping to get at least up to 135kHz to send CW… if not I’ll just get an experimental license…

I’ve got all the parts for a receiver- and the goal is to make an alexanderson alternator

anyway thanks for everyone commenting on the other post…!

why isn’t my meter reading any hertz after rectification…?

18~ish VDC in

mechanically rectified

30~ish VAC out

…seems to be hauling ass but I’d really like to know my Hz
