What options do I have for a gpu? gtx 1050?

gtx 1650? Google say might not run on my weak psu?

Just trying to keep this system dirt cheap. To goof around on.

What could be the bottleneck? Speed was 5 to 6 Mbps. Would've took 37 minutes to download a 2 gig game.

Is it the servers? The write speed of the mechanical Hard drive? Would a SSD help?

I browse Facebook all the time for deals. I see a lot of old DDR3 systems for under $50 sometimes.

Still worth buying 2026? I don't play any AAA games. Mainly PS3, PS4 era and Retro 80's / 90's games.

Trying to target around $700 Usd. Would like to keep the tech no more than 3 years old.

DDR4, Motherboard needs to have Nvme slots, Intel or Amd CPU.

Case, Ram, Power supply and storage. I can probably get super cheap on Facebook.

I sold my CFW Slim 3 years ago. Been kind of regretting it.

But today I seen a ad on Facebook for a Slim with a broken disc drive for free. I had to pick it up to test my modding skills again.

It was a complete mess. All the case screws was missing. Loose screws inside causing blurry video. Had to do a complete tear down and new thermal paste.

threw in a old 500 gig hard drive I had laying around.

Installed Hen, this model slim couldn't take CFW.

Now I'm back in the game lol...

I got a 9.0 system and 5.05 system.

I installed a bunch of games on a extended storage external hard drive. From my 9.0 system.

Can I use this external hard drive on my 5.05 system?

I know on normal system's you just need to have the same log in.

Been out the scene for a while. 2TB still the max for the internal Hard drive in 2026?

The laws will be so bad in the future. They will have to use Robots to enforce them.

Haven't had a desktop in probably 13 years. Haven't really kept up with the tech either.

Have a 5 year old M1 Macbook air and Old Microsoft surface tablet. Both Fan-less. I really hate fan noise. They work fine for my daily use.

But I need somewhere to store my growing media collection. The smaller form factor Hard drives are getting too expensive. I just need to store a bunch of cheap 3.5 inch Hard drives.

What should I look for? How far back is too old? Like 5 years/ 10 years?

There is lots concerns about going all digital Sony needs to clear up.

1. Long term games preservation. How can they guarantee the games we buy won't taken away in the future?

Maybe a agreement with buyers that if they ever decide to shutdown the games. Buyers would have a 1 year window to download the games permanently. I've seen this with PC I think.

2. Game sharing and ability to resell. I have no clue on this one.

3. Always online they will claim this for security. But they really need to not do this one.

How rich is the BAM Brothers? Just trying to understand. They seem to have a lot of power in Utah, Law enforcement is all on there side, courts. They have a army of lawyers.
