Birdfy bath - what is that clicking noise?

I’ve only had the Birdfy bath for a couple of days. It makes a clicking sound when the fountain is not running, like in this video. What is that about? When the fountain is running that sounds stops and is replaced by a softer sound of the fountain running.

Caught a cowbird laying an egg on camera

Kind of cool to see the egg come out on camera, and see how the cowbird skedattles out there right afterwards. Most of my posts are questions, so I wanted to contribute something more fun to the group! Too bad it wasn’t recorded in color during the day!

Note: I do know about cowbirds laying eggs in other birds nests, and how it’s all part of nature.

What can I do to cool the nest down?

I just checked the temp inside the box in hottest part of the day, and it’s 108F. No eggs yet but I bet she’ll lay them any day now. I always see her with her mouth open in the videos, she’s hot right?

See the second picture, should I move the pole over 10 ft to the left so it’s closer to the house and maybe more shade? This part of my yard is on the north side and the hole faces east. Would moving it that far make them abandon it for sure?

Or does anyone have a suggestion to create shade over it, maybe using the fence right behind it?

Polygon nest - please walk me through reset buttons

I have never understood how long to press reset button vs power button. The manual doesn’t explain well, and internet says different things from 1 second to 3 seconds to wait a a couple of minutes, etc.

Can someone please be very specific and walk me through the steps? I just tried 2 second reboot button, wait a few minutes and 3 second power buttons…. And now it’s powered off I guess. But I have active nest so I want to minimize interacting with the nest.

What does this button on the app do?

So for a year I had no activity in my camera nest box, I forgot how the app works. Today I notice some grass and stuff near the box so I check inside and there’s a nest! They apparently started 2 days ago right as the network went down!!! Ugh that’s a shame. But I’m logged back in the app and this is the last recording before the outage. Should I be going to the brooding tab and clicking the checkmark on this question? What happens if I do or don’t click it?

How to find a trainer that works with a client whose had pelvic floor surgery (post PT)?

My mom (68) is looking for a personal trainer, but she had pelvic floor surgery in the last couple of years, and all the trainers are afraid to work with her. She's done all the PT the doctor told her, and it's been a year or more of healing... now she's looking to ease into working out under the guidance of a personal trainer. How can she find one that is knowledgable about being careful with someone with her situation and is willing to work with her? Is there some certification or qualification she should be googling for?

Paint for Jack and Jill bathroom with little natural light

Help me with paint strategy please! My kids jack and Jill bathroom currently has agreeable gray paint color and warm brown cabinets. There’s only a little natural light, and no big walls (they all have doors or sinks or tubs on them). I was thinking of a peaceful blue color, but when I look for inspiration pictures on the internet, they all have big solid walls that contrast nicely with trim, or they have a ton of natural light. Neither which is my case.

Do I go light in color because there’s little natural light and small walls? Colors I was drawn to on inspiration pictures (SW): debonair, storm cloud, Aleutian, niebela azul.

Not cecropia moth, I don’t think…

Me and my kids want to know what came out of the cocoon we’ve been watching. We just saw a cecropia moth flying the other day, but this looks more brown and I think it’s something else? Sorry the pics aren’t the best, the glass jar messes up the view.

Suddenly robins are eating from my feeder?

I’ve never ever seen robins touch my feeder, and read that’s normal, they want to forage on their own. But the last couple of days I’ve seen them on there. It’s been raining a ton the last few days, could that be it? Except I’d think the opposite, the rain would bring all the worms to surface and they’d have more than enough worms.

I was gifted the S4 Max years ago, and we have loved it, but unfortunately it's about at the end of its life... battery life, occasional problems getting more frequent, it's louder now (which bothers the dog), etc.

After looking at the new models, there are SOOO many, I don't understand how to choose. I'm really surprised how many including mopping... I don't really trust a robot vacuum to with water on my wood floors. It might leave too much water, or leak, and the floor would warp

  1. For those of you with wood floors, is this not a concern for you?
  2. How does it keep the rugs/carpet dry when it's mopping, it does separate cycles?
  3. Do you have to replace some pad after each mopping session?
  4. If I have fairly dirty floors due to kids, pets, shoes, can I expect this mopping to work as well as normal mopping methods?

If I don't plan to use mopping features, it looks like there's a single model for sales that doesn't do mopping (Q5 Pro), is that right?

It’s been there about two weeks, it’s raised a little. But not raised and pointy like a bug bike, more like raised and flat. Feels different than any acne I’ve ever had, it had only been there a day or two when I last saw my dermatologist so I didn’t mention it, and it’ll be a bit before I see her again.

Skin care routine: tretinoin and moisturizer at night. Salicylic acid and moisturizer in the morning. Im not sure how much tretinoin actually gets on this area in the first place, since I try to avoid my eyes. And I’ve been on the tretinoin for 6 months now, it hasn’t caused me any problems.
