I'm a high school student trying to plan my future. My English is already around C1, and I want to study abroad someday.

I'm really interested in both Japan and Italy. I enjoy the Japanese language more, and I've always been fascinated by Japanese culture. However, I also have several Italian friends, so I feel like moving to or studying in Italy might be easier for me because I'd already know people there. That's one of the reasons I also want to learn Italian.

I'm having a hard time deciding which language I should prioritize. Japanese is much harder, but I enjoy it more. Italian seems more practical for my situation.

If you were in my position, which language would you focus on first, and why? I'd especially appreciate advice from people who have studied or lived in Japan or Italy.

I used to have an Instagram account dedicated to making football edits. Even after creating around 40 edits, only about 20–30 people who weren't already my friends or acquaintances followed me. Honestly, that was very demotivating, especially because I was posting consistently. Most of my videos also got fewer than 1,000 views.

Later, I created two edit accounts on TikTok. One was focused on Barcelona edits. On that account, one video reached 40,000 views, but none of the others managed to get more than 5,000 views. Despite that, my follower count stayed in the twenties.

My other account was dedicated to Demonstrator edits. I made around 40 edits there as well, but that account didn't grow either.

Across all of these accounts, I posted videos regularly, and seeing none of them gain traction really hurt my motivation.

What do you think I can do to make my accounts grow? I'm thinking about starting a new edit account, but I don't want the same thing to happen again.

I’ve liked a girl from school for about 7 months now, but we’ve barely talked. We go to the same school (I’m in 10th grade, she’s younger than me by a year). We also live really close to each other.

I sent her a follow request on Instagram twice, but she neither accepted nor declined it. I think it’s probably because she doesn’t really know who I am since my profile wasn’t very recognizable and we didn’t have mutuals.

Now I want to start talking to her at school in a small/natural way, but I’m not sure how to approach her. Even just saying “hi” feels kind of forced to me, so I’ve been trying to think of a more natural conversation starter.

I was thinking about bringing up the fact that we both went to the same kindergarten and had the same kindergarten teacher. She was in the same class as me but one year later, so we never actually met there. I realized this while scrolling through my kindergarten teacher’s social media account trying to find old pictures of myself. But I’m worried that mentioning this could come off as weird or stalker-ish even though that’s genuinely not my intention. I’m just trying to find a natural connection to start a conversation with.

Do you think I’m overthinking this? What would be the most natural way to start talking to her?

First of all I'm 10th grade. I chose the language track as my school department/major, but because job opportunities in the language field seem difficult, and also because I really love animals, I’m not afraid of any animals, and lately I’ve been watching lots of animal documentaries with great interest, I started thinking that I should choose a profession related to animals. What do you think I should do?

I'm a high school student, and there's a girl I've had a crush on for about a year. I've barely talked to her so far. And whenever I do talk to her –even when I just see her– I feel strange. It's like all the bones in my body go numb. I want to talk to her and get to know her, but we're not in the same class. What kind of topic do you think I should start with for our first real conversation?

I have a beautiful girlfriend, and where I live there’s a lot of catcalling and harassment. I don’t know how to protect her. There are also incidents of stabbings and killings in my area, and that scares me. I’m afraid that if something like that happens and I can’t stand up to it, my girlfriend will think I’m weak or that I don’t love her enough. What should I do?
