US judge dismisses indictment against Salvadoran migrant Kilmar Abrego
he's finally free
he's finally free
I'm really concerned about this because Spanberger ran her campaign on reining in ICE and then she vetos 2 bills that would've done just that. I'm trying not to spiral out about this and worry about the midterms but I'm frustrated that we keep electing Democrats who don't keep their promises. Any optimism?
I just went to a matinee performance last Saturday and wow it was so much fun. They really leaned into the whole "this is a science fiction b-movie" angle which was kind of cool. All of the actors are great, particularly Rachel Dratch as the Criminologist (I don't know how she's able to keep a straight face with some of the jokes) and Luke Evans as Frank-n-Furter (He really made the role his own and I think Tim Curry would be proud). They do allow you to do some of the call outs from the screening ("Castles don't have phones asshole!") but it's not to the point where it's disruptive and it's just under two hours. I know ticket prices are gonna be high right now because they just got a lot of Tony noms but I definitely recommend it

Revival of the Phantom of the Opera with Luke Evans and Jonathan Bailey... only they alternate playing the Phantom and Raoul every night (like Benedict Cumberbatch and Johnny Lee Miller in Frankenstein)
hopefully other states will follow
Looks like he followed Mamdani's lead?
No guarantee he'll do it or fake it but it's on official record
Damn louisiana's not playing around anymore

So now it's Tennessee, Florida, Alabama, and Louisiana that are redrawing their maps (and I think they're for this year). And since SCOTUS gave them the go ahead yesterday to cancel their primaries... yeah. I really need some optimism right now
