Single vs. Dual catch can setup?

Hello my Camaro peeps!

What in the fuckity fuck is this shit?

ZZP replaced the single oil catch can kit (which I own and have installed) with a new dual oil catch can kit. They say you can upgrade to the dual kit for the difference in price if you send in the old single catch can kit. Can a dual catch can kit really be worth it? What the hell would it do that a single cam kit couldn't?

This all being said, I've had my single catch can kit installed for about three years now. I check the can every oil change (4000-5000mi OCI) and there is literally never any oil in the can (yay, good sealing piston rings). So...it would seem to me that this "upgrade" isn't worth it.

Anyone on here have a lowered Compass? Just curious!

Anyone on here have a lowered second generation Compass? My wife just gave me the green light to lower her 2022 Limited when it needs new struts, which she says is very soon here lol. I see there are two kits that I can find. H&R and Madness brands. The H&R drops it 1.6" and the Madness kit does 2.5". I'm definitely leaning towards the Madness kit for the slightly bigger drop. If I'm going to go through the effort of doing this, I want it to be noticeable! lol

This will be interesting! I've only ever really had "real" Jeeps that I've lifted (XJs, TJs, JKs, etc), but I do really think the second generation Compass looks really cool lowered a little bit with the roof rack I have on ours and all the blackout stuff I've done to it. Obviously, it's not a super sporty vehicle by really any means, but lowering anything decreases body roll and drag by a little bit. Limiting body roll is always nice, and since this is a pavement princess "Jeep," I might as well make it handle a little bit better.

It's not going to be anything close to my 2016 Camaro lol, but my wife will probably like driving it a little bit more. Plus, it will be a tad bit safer because the reduction in body roll will make it maneuver easier.

The probably barely noticeable bump in mpg from the reduction in drag is, I guess, a plus as well lol.

Anyway, if you've lowered your Compass post a picture of it for me to check out! Thanks!

Here's ours currently with stock suspension and ride height! Just got done changing all "lifetime" drivetrain fluids a while ago! We just hit 61k miles, and it's been a fantastic little crossover so far. My only real gripe with it is that it's automatic lol. Me and my wife would have MUCH rather it of been a manual, but what are you gonna do, I guess?

It got so hot in my garage that one of my used oil barrels melted and spilled all over the damn place.

Pretty friggin annoying!

How many of you detail the engine bay?

I've just started actually getting down and dirty cleaning the engine bays of my two vehicles. I used to clean the engine bay of my show car 2008 Cobalt SS/TC back in the day, when I would enter it into car shows, but I've strayed away from cleaning the engine bays of my dailies over the past decade.

How many of you actually detail your engine bays?

If you do detail your engine bay, what is your technique? How do you clean it first? What product do you use (degreaser, citrus cleaner, idk interior cleaner?) to clean the underhood area? Do you spray water directly on the engine? Do you use just a hose or a pressure washer, too?

What products do you use to get it to shine (VRP products, Meguiars Hyper Dressing, etc?)?

I did a quick once over on my 2022 Compass here, using purple power and Meguiars Hyper Dressing. It's not a great job, but it's something! I did not use a hose in it for this time. Should I have?

Also, you'll notice I don't have the engine cover. I always toss those things first time I go to do an oil change. I hate them. They just get in the way and I like to actually look at my engine, not a big ol' piece of plastic! Lol

Next project will be the engine bay of my 2016 Camaro LTG 2.0T 6MT FBO.

Detroit bound!

All packed up and ready to leave in the morning from Omaha, NE for South Haven, MI. Then, off to Grand Blanc, MI and eventually Detroit to show our toddler the city and the cars!

Just some good old Meguiars Ultimate Quik Detailer between washes.

Haven't used this stuff in years. Now it's all ceramic this and that. Had a bottle laying around and hooked up the AC inside my garage and went to town. Now the best job, by far, but pretty good for about 15-20 minutes!

And yes, I know I need to redo the stripes. Don't remind me!

Stellantis locked out the rear EPB on 2022 Compass Limited!?

Just did the front pads on our 2022 Limited. Went to do the rears and our scan tool said Stellantis had locked the service mode out for the rear Electronic Parking Brake. How...the...hell?

I'm not going to a damn stealership to have my rear pads changed.

Thankfully, my rears had plenty of life left in them so I decided to leave them alone for now. But, in like 30k-50k more miles...do we just hope someone has hacked the Stellantis system?? How do we go about doing this!?

Just kinda pissed off right now!

Billitworkz Shift Knot install. I like it.

Install was was easy compared to other mods I've done (engine, suspension, etc...).

Lightens up my poverty-spec Camaro a bit :P

Matches my black and purple color combo. Love the font of the engraving.

Overall would 100% recommend Billitworkz as a company for their shift knobs!

2022 Compass Limited. Powerstop Z23 pads. Oil change. H11 LED Fog/turn/directional lights.

Got new Powerstop Z23 pads on the Compass today. Stops nice and short now! Ready for another 50k+ miles! We also got the LED H11 fog light bulbs in, so the fog/directional/turning lights are now nice and LED, instead of ugly Halogen (grooooooosssss).

Also changed the oil/filter at 6800miles! A little early, but I didn't want it to start yelling at me to change the oil during our 2000+ mile upcoming trip. Then, I'd have to find a car parts store parking lot that would allow me to change it in their lot and all that because NO ONE BUT ME TOUCHES MY CARS after the bs mechanics have put me through! :P

Special thanks to Daxx Merrifield for getting my weirdly stuck on filter off! It WOULD NOT COME OFF!!! GEZ!

Next up will be Powerstop Z26 pads on the Camaro! Stay tuned! :D

Powerstop Z23s or Z36s?

2022 Jeep Compass Limited 4WD 2.4L Multiair I4.

For normal city/interstate driving. Occasional filling up the car with three people, a Great Pyranees, and luggage on the roof using a luggage bag.

Would you go with the Powerstop Z23s or Z36s, if you had to choose? The Z23s are a slight upgrade over the factory pads with minimal brake dust, but the Z36s are a bit more heavy duty and are supposed to bite better and make more dust than the Z23s. The price difference between the two pads is pretty much negligible ($3 lol).
