Is next ias worth it??

Planning to join NEXT IAS GS Foundation 2028 starting 15 Oct. For those who’ve studied there, how is the faculty, study material, tests and overall guidance?

Should I go for NEXT IAS or consider other options like Vision, Forum, Vajiram, etc.? Would really appreciate genuine feedback and recommendations.

Thanks!!!

DU Provisional Certificate not received even after 10+ working days ,what should I do?

I applied online for my DU Provisional Certificate on 23 July 2026

DU’s website says the certificate is ordinarily issued within 10 working days, but I still haven’t received it. I have also emailed the Provisional Certificate/Examination Branch multiple times but received no response.

I was finally told by the Examination Branch to contact the Academic Branch, South Campus. I had already emailed them on 28 July and followed up again, but there has been no response from them either. I have also tried calling, but nobody is answering.

I urgently need the certificate for my PG admission ,

For those who have recently applied for a DU provisional certificate:

- How long did yours actually take?

- Is there any other number/email I should contact?

Any advice would be really appreciated. I’m getting quite worried because I need it ASAP.

20F,Looking for a friend because apparently touching grass wasn't enough.

Hi!!

I'm 20F and currently accepting friendship applications because my dog refuses to discuss poetry with me.

A few things about me:

- Into poetry, history, and political science (yes, I'm that nerd).

- I play games... sometimes. I'm not a hardcore gamer, but if you ask me to carry the team, we're both losing.

- Absolutely obsessed with dogs and cats. If you have pet pictures, congratulations, you've already won half the battle.

- I'm an extrovert, so please don't hit me with the legendary "hru" every 12 business hours. I like actual conversations.

I'm the type of person who can go from discussing historical revolutions to arguing about whether orange cats collectively share one brain cell.

If you decide to DM me, don't just send "hey."

Introduce yourself, tell me a weird fact,, drop your best (or worst) joke, or tell me the most useless piece of knowledge living rent-free in your brain.

If you're dry, the Sahara is already doing that job.

Does the Yakeen 2.0 Infinity Batch include access to future batches like Yakeen 3.0?

Hi everyone,

My cousin is planning to buy the Yakeen 2.0 Infinity Batch and had a question.

If they purchase it now, will they also get access to future batches released later, such as Yakeen 3.0, 4.0, etc., or is the access limited to only the batches available at the time of purchase?

If anyone has previously purchased an Infinity batch and knows how it works, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

Please help- admission query

I'm a 2026 DU graduate (BA Hons. Political Science,). My final result has been declared, but I haven't applied for the provisional certificate yet because the official DU provisional certificate portal is currently under maintenance. The last date for DU SOL MA admissions is 24 July.

Will DU SOL accept my final marksheet/result for admission, or is the provisional certificate mandatory? Since I can't even apply for the provisional certificate right now due to the portal being down, I'm really worried I'll miss the admission deadline.

Has any recent DU graduate been in the same situation? What did DU SOL ask you to submit?

Am I overreacting for not wanting relatives to stay in my room?

I came back to my hometown for a few weeks, which I only get to do once a year since I don't live here. Some of my grandmother's relatives also came to visit, and my grandma has decided that they (especially their kids) should stay in my room.

The thing is, I really don't want that. I just value having my own space, especially since I only get to use this room for a few weeks each year.

There's another factor that makes this much harder: I have severe OCD, particularly contamination OCD and mysophobia. Having other people, especially children, sleeping in my bed and using my room causes me a huge amount of anxiety. it can trigger obsessive thoughts and compulsions that are incredibly difficult to deal with.

My family doesn't really seem to understand this. They see it as me being selfish or overreacting, while to me it feels like losing the only place where I can feel somewhat comfortable during my visit.

I feel frustrated that the one space I use while I'm here is being given away without anyone asking how I feel.

Has anyone else dealt with something similar? Am I being unreasonable, or is it understandable to want some personal space, especially given my OCD?

Edit : A few people have asked for more context, so here it is. I'm 18, and this is my dad's house where my grandmother lives. I lived here for about 10 years before moving away, and I only come back once a year during my vacation, partly to spend time with and help take care of my grandmother. I keep the key to this room throughout the year, and whenever I visit, this is always the room I stay in. Until now, no one else had ever stayed in this room—this is the first time.

I'm also currently staying here. I wouldn't mind at all if my family let relatives use the room while I wasn't visiting. What I'm struggling with is having other people stay in the room while I'm here and using it myself, especially because I have severe contamination OCD.

I've also seen suggestions that I should just book a hotel. That isn't really a realistic option for me. In my family and culture (I'm from India), leaving the family home to stay in a hotel while guests are visiting would be considered very rude and would likely create an even bigger family issue.

Fourth Year at DU or MA through DU SOL/IGNOU? Need genuine advice.

I'm really confused about what to do next and would appreciate honest advice from people who've been in a similar situation.

I recently graduated with a BA (Hons) in Political Science from DU. My first preference was a regular MA through CUET PG, but unfortunately my score wasn't enough for the current cutoffs, and I'm not sure if waiting for later rounds will work out.

Now I'm considering three options:

• Continue with the 4th year at DU.

• Take admission in MA Political Science through DU SOL.

• Take admission in MA Political Science through IGNOU.

My long-term goal is UPSC, but I also want a solid backup degree because I can't afford to waste a year. I'm also worried about the limited seats in DU's one-year MA after the 4th year and whether staying for another year is actually worth it.

If you were in my position, what would you choose and why? I'd especially appreciate replies from people who have studied in the 4th year, DU SOL, or IGNOU and can share their actual experience regarding academics, recognition, exams, and future opportunities.

Thanks in advance!

(Myquals)

Edit: I'm not into research and all

Idk I really don't know what to do anymore I'm tired of everything

I've been mentally struggling for a while. I have frequent breakdowns, cry a lot, and I honestly feel like I hate everyone and myself sometimes. I don't know what's wrong with me, and I'm not feeling okay.

The hardest part is that I don't want to tell anyone because I feel like it would make me look weak, and I hate the idea of people seeing me that way. So I've been keeping everything to myself.

I don't even know what I'm expecting from posting this

I'm sorry idk why I even posted

Need honest advice on my next academic move..

I recently graduated with a BA (Hons.) in Political Science from a DU college. My long-term goal is UPSC, but I also want to make sure I have a strong backup career if UPSC doesn't work out.

Right now, I'm trying to decide between these options:

  1. Complete the 4th year under NEP.

  2. Pursue a distance MA.

  3. Join a private university for an MA.

  4. Take a one-year drop and prepare for CUET PG again to try for a better university.

I'm not looking at this only from a UPSC perspective. I also want to consider long-term career options like NET/JRF, teaching, research, higher studies, and overall career stability.

If you were in my position, which option would you choose and why? I'd especially appreciate advice from people who have experience with these pathways or have faced a similar decision.

Guide me (need a reality check)

Hi everyone,I scored 184 in CUET PG MA Political Science (OBC, C2).

Considering how high the cutoffs seem this year, I honestly feel my chances at DU are very low. I'm not looking for false hope I just want a realistic assessment from people following this year's admissions.

  1. Does 184 (OBC-NCL) have any chance in any DU round (including later or spot rounds)?

  2. Or should I accept that DU is unlikely this year and start preparing for a drop?

Please share your honest opinion

Thanks!

What's an interesting thing you know that rarely comes up in normal conversation?

Everyone seems to have that one random fact, niche hobby, unusual skill, or piece of knowledge they almost never get a chance to talk about. Maybe it's something from your job, a weird historical event, a scientific concept, a language fact, a psychological phenomenon, or just something you learned one day and never forgot. What's yours? Feel free to explain it like you're talking to someone who knows nothing about the topic. (Yes I'm dumb) I'd love to learn something new today

21,f Looking for a genuine friend

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a good friend ,someone I can be comfortable talking to about everyday life, random thoughts, interests, and the things that are on my mind. I'd love to build a genuine friendship where we can be ourselves without judgment.

A little about me: I'm someone who values honesty, kindness, and meaningful conversations. I'm open to talking about pretty much anything, whether it's hobbies, life goals, movies, games, music, personal experiences, or just how your day is going.

I'm not looking for anything complicated just a real connection with someone who also wants a supportive and lasting friendship. If you're looking for the same, feel free to send me a message and tell me a bit about yourself.

Looking forward to meeting some awesome people!
