Siri/AI is broken now in beta 6

I keep getting "Sorry, there’s something wrong. Please try again." for even simple queries (such as basic math or prompts that were previously accepted. When I ask about the weather it says "Uh oh, there’s a problem. Please try again." where it used to show the forecast.

Edit/update - Siri works as expected on another local user account on same machine with macos27 beta 6, so it is limited to my primary account.

Ask Alexa a question about a weather term and the response is the weather itself, not the answer that was expected.

I ask alexa to tell me at what percentage does humidity become uncomfortable and all it does it tell me the weather. No matter how I phrase it or adjust it to make it as clear as possible all I get is the current weather conditions, the forecast, or "I can't help you with that" when I respond the question was not answered. Rather than getting smarted she continues to get dumber. In the past asking questions would trigger alexa to search online or refer to some knowledge bank it can access, more and more it just stumbles and flops without actually providing an answer.

Ahmad Zahir approving my lunch

I thought it was some artistic impression of Jack Black looking over me while I ate lunch but according to the internet it is Ahmad Zahir. 😇😬

Tire pressure variation when checked cold

I know the science behind it so I’m not asking for an explanation, I’m just asking for observation. When you check your air pressure, cold, before riding, how much variation do you often see between the “cold” pressure versus the expected tire pressure?

I’m not expecting that I have a leak or any issues, I am just generally curious to see what people have observed.

AI/Siri translation issues

Translation continues to be something I observe Siri struggling with. When prompted to translate the word dog into Persian it provided correct answer. When asked to translate "I love kebabs" it said it couldn't, before providing an answer after being prompted to try again.

siri and apple "intelligence" stealing more drive space

After today's update, 53GB used (reported used) by Siri and AI. Crap for a feature I didn't ask for or really don't use. Another reason this should be opt in or at the very least an opt out that removes all resources and assets related to AI.

Translation using ai/siri fails now

Seed 26A5378n

I seemingly have lost the ability to translate from X language into English. I have tried with Persian, Arabic, and Spanish and get a prompt to install a 3rd party translation app. Previous builds on GG have worked without issue from what I recall. Feedback filed.

edit/update:

seems to do better translating from English into another language but chokes on Persian. It also seems to randomly prompt to use that stupid translation app or links to it in some form of URL scheme. An AI module should be able to figure it out or send it out to the cloud. Translation is a very basic feature at this point and I shouldn’t have to open a website like google.

Frustration with McGuire drives both sides of 5th Congressional District primary

The Virginia Public Access Project rates the 5th District as "leans Republican," but a group of Democratic challengers is hoping that national political backlash to Trump — and McGuire's staunch devotion to the president's agenda — will make the district a winnable target in 2026, even after a plan led by state Democrats to redraw Virginia's congressional borders failed.

McGuire — whose campaign did not respond to VPM News' requests for an interview — is also facing a Republican primary challenge, making the 5th the state's only congressional district with both Democratic and Republican primaries.

Read more about the candidates here.

Things not taught in MSF, but should’ve been…

What are things that you wish was covered in MSF or similar rider courses?

I’ll start this off with my number 2 complaint…pun intended. While not something they can teach it should be discussed how uncomfortable riding a bike is when your colon decides to revolt and stage a coup after eating too much spinach the day before and you’re prairie dogging the entire trip back home in 95+ degree weather 😱

My number 1 complaint, and I posted in this a while back, was how to deal with crosswinds and windy conditions. That has been discussed so not worried about that.

Just curious what experienced and new riders wish they had been taught or talked about at some point early on in their riding journey.

Comcast and nbc to split

Interesting…will have to wait and see how/if this impacts perks. The only thing that has been remotely of interest and value is the peacock add-on as a reward. If peacock goes away then it will likely be time to leave for another carrier once my bill needs to be renegotiated again.
