Figured I’d share some wrist shots from trying on the new 2026 HydroConquest models in person, since I know a lot of people are trying to decide between the 39mm and 42mm.

Blue bezel / black dial on Milanese mesh: 39mm
Green dial / green bezel on H-link bracelet: 42mm

I’ve included close-ups and photos from farther away because I think watches can look pretty different in wrist shots compared to how they actually wear in person.

Both sizes fit well, but I was surprised by how much presence the 39mm has. It definitely doesn’t feel undersized, and the mesh bracelet gives it a different look from the traditional steel bracelet.

I am personally going with the 39 mm in blue. Likely get a H-link when I get bored. Not waiting to try the grey (they were OOS) because that will make the decision even harder. And maybe I’ll get a Bruce Wayne someday to fill that color hole. Figure that size will be a unique add to the collection - bulky sports watches are plentiful!

Hopefully these photos help anyone shopping for the new HydroConquest who hasn’t had a chance to try both sizes. Also included a couple Omega pics for reference of wrist size. Not sure of my wrist size but can measure it if that helps anyone! I’m 6’1’ for reference, 200 lbs. Ring size is 12.

Recent Filson Fan - got a shelter cloth anorak as my first purchase. Now, I am wanting to find a wool piece. Appears that the Mackinaw Cruiser is one of their best pieces. But I came across this variation - has a tin cloth upper, hood, and partial sleeve lining.

Anyone have this jacket? Tradeoffs again the original? Price is $425 used

Possibly the rarest pair of 993s on the planet. Still would take the Spring 101s, but zamn. 10 pairs made.

Scooped the covert greens, now I don’t feel bad about leaving my 4Js deadstock.

Frustrated with sizing… got a vest and large was too small. XL was the way. Found this bad boy in excellent condition. But think a large would work better?
And did I do okay at $260?

My stats - 74 inches, 210 lbs. 19 in shoulders, 16 in neck, 44 in chest. Usually between size L and XL in most brands. Went with size medium since heard size large has 27 in pit to pit — this was the right call. Even a small might have worked. Size down. I don’t have enough SI to know usually SI sizing unfortunately.

Prob been easier with better tools. But I used what I had and too stubborn to stop and go get clay bar. The heat made it worse. I have a car that generates a ton of dust.

1. clean wheels

2. soak wheels and trouble spots for 10 min, went back and reapplied every couple minutes and kept them wet. rubbed in with towel as well

3. power drill with a brush.

4. repeat steps 2, 3 a couple times.

5. Rinse

The drill worked pretty good but couldn’t get it all… will a clay bar help? Or any other tips?

For those of you not familiar with La Califfa - this factory:seller has been around for years. They use extremely high quality fabrics, many imported, and even do custom work. Most famous for their jackets. The one thing about them is they do not do branding - the owner does not want to get in trouble and destroy what they have built. They can do custom branding for wholesale.

This is my first time buying from them and I am extremely impressed. I am keeping the Zegna inspired polo, but unfortunately these pants are a bit too short for my build. The fabric quality and construction is on point with designer. Construction is not completely hand-sewn or bespoke, but is a very well made factory piece.
