Now that most of the US is like an oven, do you ride at night to escape the heat? What extra precautions do you take?

I personally just don’t take country roads because of the amount of animals out at night around me, I’m wondering if there are other things is should be doing? I obviously avoid the bar scene areas as well and keep my speed low around all the intersections.

You can still lower the footpegs on 03-09 SVs like people did with the “Buell” pegs

So I see all this stuff online how people used to order pegs from Buell and lower their pegs but you can’t find them anywhere anymore.

WELL, I just bought these pegs from Tec Bile Parts USA for an old royal enfield 650 but the lowering link was out of stock.

BUT I found that a place called Baxter Cycle sells them!!!

It cost less than 100 dollars and now my begs are nearly 2” lower!! Only took about 40 minutes and I didn’t have to mess with the shifter or rear break. They also are very adjustable so you can tweak your riding position a little!

Oops I bought another motorcycle.

I started riding again for the first time in my adult like almost exactly a year ago. Now I have 4 bikes(ones for sale)

How to control myself?

This gs500 is running but needs the carbs cleaned.

I paid 700 dollars for it and I rode it home. What? How am I supposed to stop this behavior?

Do you guys still stare at your bike?

When I take a little break at work I basically just stare at my bike for 5 minutes, does this go away?

I ordered an iridescent windshield and immediately regretted it, they accidentally sent me black, so I guess it really wasn’t meant to be. How do you guys feel about black vs stock clear?

Has anyone put higher than stock clip on risers on their 2003-2009 sv650s?

The stock rise is 1.5”

how high has anyone gone without buying new cables? If you only got 2” risers, was the extra half inch noticeable at all?

I want the adjustable angle woodcraft 75mm( rise 2.9 inches)but I’m reading that’s too much rise without new cables. I’m not finding any adjustable angle clip ons with just a 2” rise.

They make 35mm but that’s less than stock (not what I want)

I’m basically already obsessed with this bike, it’s nearly stock except the Delkevic slip on. Recommend mods you guys all do?

Any recs really, I’m just parked in the shade at the mall trying to talk about this bike while my back sorts itself out. I got it yesterday, 9,400 miles. What to expect? Fork seals were done 500 miles ago. Only thing so far is I think I’m melting my boot on the exhaust in the circled area last picture. My feel are not big, women’s 10 so men’s 8.5 ish

I threw a new battery in it this morning too, he warned me it was old but I rode it home last night. Parked it, my wife took a couple videos of it running after it was parked, then this morning it wouldn’t start lol

I didn’t think I wanted a fast motorcycle, I was wrong. Help my pick my next bike

Budget: 6,500
Location: Central Indiana(willing to drive a few hundred miles for a good deal)
5’6”
125lbs

Okay so, I grew up riding dirtbikes blah blah, last year I got a KLX230 and put 4000 miles on it. It’s great, I love it. It’s slower than a fucking 90s Taurus.
I couldn’t handle it anymore, but still didn’t want a “fast” bike.

In January I bought a non DCT 2012 Honda NC700X. If you know anything about this bike, you know it’s not “exciting “ or “fast”. It was however a huge upgrade from the klx. It’s super torquey and now I can race Braxton in his clapped out Honda civic and win.

It’s still not what I want, I want something fast. I am a 37 year old woman, I will not be posting any videos in r/calamariraceteam but I was it to be substantially faster than my NC but I also don’t really(or do I?) want a 600cc or liter bike. I was looking at the zx4rr but I just saw that it’s restricted in the US!? I’m reading it’s restricted to 56 hp and you have to get a tune to get the full 75is out of it, that kind of turns me off. I looked at sv650s but I don’t know if that’s a big enough jump. The CBR650r seems awesome but I can’t find one for 6,500 or under

I saw this beautiful DR on my marketplace today. If I weren’t so short I’d buy it.
