We received a cabinet with FIVE boards missing. They offered me a 25% refund to keep the item and said no return was available. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH HALF A CABINET??? It can't be assembled at all. This is a huge scam and now I'm out $300.

TLDR: do you remove old caulk before repainting trim in a room? Do you caulk over old caulk??

First - I know this is the wrong order to do things. Theoretically edging would have center along with walls. But we had a water leak and insurance only pays for certain crap and we have to document every step of the way, so here we are.

We are getting our walls and ceiling only repainted professionally. However, the baseboards and trim in the room look like crap compared to the fresh new wall paint, so we want to paint those ourselves after the fact.

We will be painting them the same color as the walls (Greek villa) with a different sheen.

My question is - do we remove the old caulk and recaulk before we repaint the trim? Can we caulk over the old caulk? Is there any way to do this without re-edging the entire freshly painted room?

Don't get me wrong it's the thought that counts but OH MY GOD I LITERALLY HAVE SIX HUGE TUBS OF IT ENOUGH IS ENOUGH PEOPLE.

I'd have to be pregnant for 8 years to get through all this.

(I also believe it's a marketing scam but feel free to prove me wrong)

Hi - just looking for some support or encouragement. I don't know if this is the right sub for this.

I am due with my second baby in two months and I am really starting to freak out. We currently have a toddler who will be almost 3 at the time of the baby's birth. Things are already starting to get hard as I'm getting too big to do a lot for her.

This is something we really wanted. We had to do rounds of IVF for both children. But now that it is almost here I am really scared.

I had a c section after a long labor with my first and she was (and still is) a terrible sleeper, so the first few weeks of baby life were totally hell. We have no family nearby. We have some of them coming to watch our toddler while I'm in the hospital but they will max out the help they can offer in about ten days.

Anyways I'm just freaking out about being able to manage all of this in our own, on top of also likely recovering from a second c section. Any advice welcome. Thank you

Edit to add: they live across the country so I can't take them out for a meal. I handmade them coffee cups at the start of this journey. And the "gift" can be a distraction too, I just want to send them something.

I went through IVF and had multiple failures before having my daughter. Now, friends of mine are experiencing the same thing, and they just had a third failed transfer with their last embryo.

I want to send them a gift or trinket to make them laugh or smile or take the edge off and I need suggestions.

When I was going through this, I would get SO MAD at all the hopeful shit everyone would throw at me. For example: "it'll work, just keep trying" or "you can always adopt" or "have faith mama"! What I really needed was someone to tell me it would be okay if it DIDN'T work. That I could still have a full life and that my worth was not tied to having children.

So, I want to give them something small and cutesy that either says "fuck how unfair life is omg" or "you will be ok regardless of the outcome".

They are a lesbian couple who loves to travel and camp and hike and they are both doctors and are overall amazing people. Any suggestions welcome.
