This awesome reprint of a vintage drawing/poster of Yosemite valley I got at Tuolumne visitor center.

Saw this off to the side of the store for $10 and had to pick it up. So many cool little details of years past on this! Kinda wish I could go back and see it during this era. By Jo Mora, 1931.

5 days and 4 nights at n the most amazing place I’ve camped.

Spent the last few days with a few of my buddies in Yosemite national park. It’s almost impossible to get reservations in the valley so we opted for crane flat campground about 20 mins from the valley and 1 hour from the high country. It’s a good in between spot and slightly cooler than below. We spent time in both the valley and the in the high country, exploring and finding new places to take a dip in. Every day was a new adventure. Some of it planned , some of it spontaneous. It’s an amazing place.

Hey all , just wondering what you guys think about this . SUP became unglued on the front seam.

I emailed isle to see if they do repairs but if not, what sort of glue can I use to patch this up?

has anyone seen my brother in the big pine lakes area?

my brother vikram is 6’3, 170lbs, dark hair, and has been out of contact since 8.30pm yesterday in the big pine lakes area in the eastern sierra, specifically around agassiz col. have attached a link to his route here https://www.strava.com/routes/3516945857263630584

did anyone happen to see him along the way? he last sent an update 8.37PM PST from the following coordinates: 37.10942° N, 118.52428° W

he’s a fairly experienced hiker and we think that he reached a reasonably easy part of the route, so would have expected him back by now. his car is still at the trailhead.

so sorry if this is not the right place to post. can post somewhere else if there’s a better place

Ps5 version control drift BUT only on the in game menu.

So as the title states, I’m having some weird glitch/bug on the in game menu. Soon as I go to look at a mission or loadout the cursor just shift’s rapidly and uncontrollably (pun intended). It usually takes me 5-10 seconds to be able to “stop” it for a bit to change my loadout or read a new file . It’s pretty annoying ngl. At first I thought it was my own controller but actual gameplay doesn’t produce any drift and it doesn’t happen on the ps5 main screen or any other game for that matter. Just the in game menu on control. Any tips on how to get rid of this??

Noticed black specks in the bottom of my carafe. Thought it was grounds but it was degraded plastic/rubber.

Does delonghi make carafes that don’t have plastic/rubber in the inner lip of the carafe?I took some pics of the area that’s falling apart.

Any ideas what’s hitting? Wife started noticing a loud thump going over speed bumps and slightly less loud when making right turns.

Another adventure in the 98. This thing impresses me more every time.

Took ol boy out on a camping adventure a few days ago. Recently got a ton of needed maintenance done and have been taking it out more and more. I was really impressed with the low gear on some bouldery steep sections. This trip made me realize that I definitely need to pull the trigger on some new rear springs. I’m still on the originals from 98. I’m thinking eibach or icon 1 inch but still undecided.

5 hour trek to reach the literal end of the road . Mosquitoes were brutal but it was an awesome trip.

Met up with 2 of my buddies and headed into the southern Sierra Nevada mountains to do some camping. 3/4s of the trip was on pavement but the last 1/4 was offroad and slow going. We did a few stream crossings and got to the literal end of the road where we go this site which happened to be the last available on this stretch. It was warm , in the low 80s and got down to the high 40s at night. Mosquitoes were brutal. Buddy brought a starlink and we watched a Mexico vs South Korea world camp game. Dinner was ribeyes, baked potatoes and buttered corn. Really wish we could have stayed longer but that’s all our schedules allowed. Till next time!

Which is more beginner friendly? Fly fishing poles or traditional reel poles?

I’ve gone fishing a handful of times , each time with a cousin of mine that is experienced. It’s been years so I pretty much have forgotten everything he taught me. I do remember the reel turned into a giant bundled mess of line once or twice. Once I got the hang of casting it seemed pretty easy but I never caught anything. I recently have been wanting to get back into fishing since I have a lot of streams and rivers nearby known for trout and I saw a good portion of people fly fish, the pole looks a lot less complicated that a traditional rod and it got me intrigued. Is it easier to fly fish ? Or is my beginner brain making me think it’s easier? Obviously there is some sort of technique involved with both styles but just curious as to which is easier to get into and learn on my own.

Best way to prevent mold? Not super long term storage

I washed and filled all of these up through my berkey water filter around the same time about 2 months ago and have been slowly going through them. Yesterday I opened a new one and noticed moldy slime on the inside of the cap. Now, this isn’t for long term storage, we go through these and rotate them but I didn’t expect there to be mold in that short amount of time. I’ve never had this many water containers and honestly have never stored water. I figured having at least this for a short term emergency would help. I need some advice on how I could prevent them from molding up. I did notice how they’re stored leaves room on the upper part to develop condensation(pic 2). Unfortunately this is the only spot in my home I can store these. We have a dark pantry but it isn’t big enough to store these.
Any advice?

Trying to get back into working out after becoming a driver.

Fellow brothers that workout. How do you do it? Especially after the long ass days we work? I used to lift back in my twilight bulk offload days cause I was part time and had the time to get in solid 1-2 hour workouts. Than after I started driving I just told myself I didn’t need to workout because the job itself was a workout and while y’all know that yes it’s physically demanding, it’s not proper strength training. And over the years it’s started to wear me down. In fact, I’m in worse shape now than when I started. Specifically my knees/hips/lower back. I just got a gym membership and I’m going to get back in it but just want some advice. What sort of workouts should I focus on? Whats good for strengthening our legs/glutes/core. Any type of workout programs that are good for the type of work we do and finally, how do you manage with the time we have? Some days I’m out 12 hours a day. You guys know that mental and physical drain after a long day.

Cannell meadow.

Came across a post about Cannell meadow and realized it’s on my “to visit” on Google Maps yet I’ve never been. I typed it in Google Maps and it gave me directions directly to the cabin/station/meadow. Looks like mostly forest service roads after kernville. How are the roads up there if anyone has been recently? I’m thinking of inviting some friends but one has a 2wd Tacoma. Not sure if he could make it.
