Neurofibroma in the palm

In 2014 I had a biopsy which confirmed I had a neurofibroma in the palm of my hand and a schwannoma in my finger tip. As they are benign, the Dr had no interest in operating on the palm to remove it because he didn't want to risk me losing feeling in my fingers due to the tumor's location. He dismissively told me to wear a "bikers glove" when I asked how to deal with the electrical shooting pain from making contact with anything on my palm.

It's been over 10 years and I've lived with it and learned to work around it but I'm tired of how limiting it has made my life. I work around it in the gym but there's workouts I can't do, not to mention I can't clap or high five. I'm extremely cautious when playing with my toddlers and I've always wanted to do combat sports training but that's not an option in my current state. Also after the biopsy way back when I developed a seemingly random shooting pain even when I'm not making contact on my palm. These fits of pain are like an 8/10 and very embarrassing when they happen in public because I'm suddenly making weird faces and shaking my hand in desperation of relief. I usually explain what's going on if I'm with someone so they don't think something is seriously wrong with me.

Anyways enough complaining. What I have is livable but I'm ready for a change. I just reached out to my PCP to set up an MRI so we can talk to a specialist and see if it's possible to finally see about removing these. I held off for so long because I didn't want to affect my career but I think I could make due if I lost some feeling in my fingers.

Does anyone else have a neurofibroma in their palm? I always wondered how rare this placement was. Sometimes it's fun to imagine it's an eye like in Pam's labyrinth haha!

I’ve noticed this fandom doesn’t have a lot of Larpers. Instead, why don’t we make up our own larper takes?

For example: Why didn’t Matsumura just use his magic on Caiman, is he stupid?
