My family survived Japanese occupation in Ww2, fought in the Chinese civil war before and after ww2, survived the Cultural Revolution, and the Great Famine. AMA

My great grandfather fought for the CCP against the Kuomintang when he was young, fought the Japanese, and then fought in the Chinese civil war after. He would retire at the end of the war and have 8 children during the peak of the Cultural Revolution in which my grandma would be born in 1948 and experience the entire Great Famine and the horrors of Maoism. I’ve asked my grandmother many questions about her life and I wanted to do this AMA because I wanted to think of more questions to ask her. But I can also a good amount of questions as well. We can also trace our family tree all the way to the 19th century as well so I can answer questions though I’m not sure how much information I can provide about those times.

Head of Strategic futures at OpenAi has a mental breakdown due to the release of Chinese Ai, Kimi K3

X: @deanwball

Kimi K3, the new model released from a Chinese startup company is so good that it surpasses frontier US Ai models on several benchmarks.

It is nearly a Fable level Ai.

For context, Fable was recently restricted by the Trump administration due to national security concerns, that's how good it is.

The best part about this is that the Kimi team is releasing the model to the public, so anyone will be able to run it independently. This completely undermines the business model of Anthropic and Openai, and rocked the US stock market.

Sky News ran a segment about how a Jewish volunteer group is on the streets fighting "record levels of antisemitism", and zero antisemitism occurs anywhere in the entire segment. It's just a group of thugs cruising around intimidating non-Jews by impersonating law enforcement.
