Poly Vi Sol multi vitamin vs Tri Vi Sol vitamin for new born

My baby girl was born at 34 weeks and is now home at 36 weeks. The discharging doctor stated she needed poly vi sol multivitamin (A, C, D, B and iron), where as the pediatric doctor she saw the day after discharge is stating to only use the tri vi sol (A, C, D). She is getting breast milk via bottle.

Has anyone gotten a prescription for poly vi sol for their preemie or told to take tri visol instead?

I’m getting conflicting information between these two doctors.

Thanks

Lexus denying free oil change

I got a new 2026 Lexus NX350 gas in December 2025.

I’m supposed to get two free complimentary services, one at 6 months / 5000 miles (whichever comes first) and again at 12 months / 10000 miles.

I tell the person who called to confirm the free service that the vehicle only has 1500 miles, but I still want the oil changed. She tells me they will have to charge me for the oil change but will do the tire rotation and fluid inspections free. I tell her to get a service manager to call me back, I want the oil done for free as per their initial email to me.

She tells me I have to wait till 1 year, 10000 miles before I get a free oil change. WTF?

So far my experience with this Lexus dealership (New Country Lexus of Great Neck Long Island NY) has been less than stellar. Even Chevrolet has treated me better.

Running ispring RCC7AK RO system from basement up to kitchen on first floor (10 feet)

I am looking to run my ispring RCC7AK under sink RO system from the basement up to the kitchen which is about 10 feet away.

Do I need to run a larger 3/8" faucet line and water supply water line to/from the filters to try and maintain water pressure at the faucet? Is a 10 to 15 foot distance OK from the filter, back up to the faucet?

Should the drain from the filter be a certain maximum distance, and can that flow back upstairs to the kitchen sink drain, or should I drain it into the larger sewer stack below in the basement?

How often is your baby pooping?

My babygirl born at 34 weeks was released from the NICU and is now at 36 weeks and 4lbs 4oz. We have kept her on the same feeding and pooping schedule as the NICU, which is every 3 hours. She has a poopy diaper almost every change which is about 7 poops a day. Is this excessive? She is drinking about 30-35mL of breast milk per feeding.

Discharged from the NICU and baby is suffering from gas

My baby girl (born at 3lbs 14oz) was born at 34 weeks and in the NICU for 11 days (Long Island NY). She was never on oxygen, and was bottle fed a mix of both doner milk and my wife’s milk, mixed with fortifier in the hospital. She slept sound with no signs of discomfort and we never noticed any farting.

On the final day right before discharge we noticed she didn’t want to drink the bottle, and just giving us a stare. We got home later that day and she became more difficult to feed and started farting a lot. During sleep, she shows signs of discomfort, squirming and making noises. She has been suffering from gas for days now, and we have been giving her Mylicon, and may try gripe water eventually. We try to burp her but she doesn’t burp easily. She does drink most of her bottle during each feeding. She is at 4lbs 4oz now.

Is there a probiotic that should be considered? We had our first pediatric appointment a day after being discharged, and the doctor said to start with the Mylicon however she didnt really take a firm stance on how to battle the gas. We are concerned because our baby is suffering with discomfort that she never had in the NICU.

Gave her a wash after many months.

2022 SS 1LE - only 18k miles on her now. Owned her since new, never been to the track with her cause I’m afraid of wrecking her, but I feel it’s time to take her. Maybe will start out with auto cross.

Can I install iSpring RCC7AK 6 stage RO filters on it's side?

I purchased an iSpring RO system (RCC7AK) and there isn't enough height to sit the filters vertically. Can I either place them horizontally or on an angle so that I can fit them in my cabinet beneath my sink? I only have about 15" of height, just enough to fit the tank vertically but not enough to fit the filters vertically unless I cut out the cabinet top to get more room.

Or should I consider a more compact system like a Waterdrop or Philips tankless system?

Should I wait for baby to reach 4lbs before taking her home?

Our baby girl was born at 34 weeks via emergency C section at 3lbs 14oz / 1760g on Long Island NY. Her heart rate was dropping in the womb, my wife had gestational diabetes, and the fetus was tracking on the smaller side. The doctors decided to perform an emergency section.

She has been in the NICU for a week, requiring IV for the first two days, heat for the first 3 days and never needed oxygen. She feeds on her own, even latches onto my wife’s breast, and just gained 35g after losing 60g from birth. However she had several episodes where her oxygen saturation dropped into the 70s for a few seconds, requiring nurses to startle her to get her to breathe again, adding to additional time needed in the NICU (her lips turned purple twice). If she has no more episodes she will be able to come home on Tuesday, after 8 days in the NICU, however her weight is still low at 1700g (3.75lb). The doctor said they regularly release babies below 1800g / 4lbs.

My car seat is rated to 4lbs. Should I look for a 3lb car seat, or should I let her stay in the NICU until she gets over 4lbs? Also how do you monitor for oxygen saturation at home? I was thinking about getting a pulse oximeter sock.

Bought a new 2026 NX350 base with the 2.4 turbo motor / 8 speed auto. There is a lag in throttle response. When I hit the gas pedal, the car takes a few ms to react. Is this normal? Or is there a know fix / update for this? I would like to ask the dealership to address the issue (if there is a fix).

I noticed houses on the island, including my own use an indirect hot water tank which is heated by the main boiler. My gas costs are ridiculous in the summer months (around $200/mo) when there is no heat on, and I suspect this is because of the inefficient main boiler heating my indirect hot water tank.

I am looking to switch to either a gas hot water tank or a tankless gas hot water heater. The main issue I am facing is how to install the flue on either the gas tank or tankless setup.

Anyone here make the change and notice a big reduction in their gas bill? Did you switch to a gas tank or a tankless unit?

I have an indirect hot water storage tank (Long Island NY) which is being heated by my gas boiler, and my gas costs are very high.

I am looking to install a tank or tankless water heater to drop my gas use and not depend on my main boiler.

I have read many threads on reddit on tank vs tankless. I am still not sure which is more efficient. A gas tank requires a 40gal of water to stay hot using a 36k BTU burner, where as tankless is on demand using a 160k BTU, and it takes longer for hot water to reach where is needed; so does Tankless really use less gas in the real world?

Also there is the issue of the flue pipe; the tank gas water heater can T into my main boiler flue, where as the tankless would require a separate flue direct out the side of the house.

Would you go tankless gas, or tank gas in my situation?
