Best Edit hotel in Mexico?

I want to use my $500 Edit credit and was looking at Mexico. Only ever been to Hotel Xcaret (loved it). Was considering their Arte resort this time - or potentially the Cabo region instead to totally switch things up.

Solo traveler and would probably want something social but lowkey - I honestly do not know whether an all inclusive would be a good or bad idea in Cabo, but saw someone in another thread saw the food is so good in that region, you’ll likely want to leave the hotel to eat anyway.

So basically… I really have no idea specifically what I’m looking for lol. But if anyone has Edit recs for Mexico that would be awesome! Preferably something that isn’t more than $7-800/night since I do plan to pay a few nights out of pocket.

Where should I go next?

I’m trying to explore more of the world… I’ve been to various countries in Europe (France, Germany, UK, Poland, southern Italy), probably half of the US states, and Mexico (Playa del Carmen)… but that’s it!

I’ve been looking for something warm and beachy or tropical - was thinking Costa Rica or Spain but I feel overwhelmed with options.

Any suggestions?

Does anyone else here have the Chase Sapphire card earning airline points? Trying to figure out how best to utilize my points between the Southwest card and this one, wondering what others do.

Kinda what the title says -- I've been a Chase Southwest Priority cardmember for years and always used my points to book flights.

Signed up for the Chase Sapphire Reserve as my first "big boy" credit card -- hated the cost but decided the benefits offset it. (And frankly it's already paid for itself.)

I got a 125k points bonus for spending x amount in the first 3 months, and I have some flights I'm looking to book.

It appears the Sapphire Reserve portal is only showing options for the Choice fare (no Basic) for Southwest -- so for example, a flight to Denver is 18k points for Basic airfare if I book using the Southwest card, but if I use the Sapphire Reserve, my only option is Choice for 21k points. They don't even show Basic as an option.

Not a huge difference but i hate the idea of paying more than I need to. Then again, they're free points and I'm wondering how much of a hassle it is to try to shuffle them around between cards.

TL;DR -- just looking for best practices here from anyone who may be in the same boat as me. How do you guys manage this? Do you move your points from the Sapphire card over to the Southwest card and then use those to book, or should i just bite the loss since it's fairly minimal anyway?

Also -- can anyone remind me what exactly the benefits are with Choice over Basic? as a cardholder I don't think it really makes much of a difference right? I get to choose a seat anyway (I think that's the main benefit for non-cardholders of Choice fare?).

Cheers!

How to add more photos to a drafted post? Can not figure this out and it’s driving me nuts

I have a drafted post that took forever to tag brands and people in the caption for, so I don’t want to have to start over. But I want to add a couple more photos and for the life of me I cannot find a way to do so.

Does this mobile app really not allow you to edit your photos once you’ve selected them, even while the post is still drafted?

What's the best way to book a hotel and make sure I use my credits? (and a few other points related questions)

Hey guys, I just signed up for my first Sapphire Reserve card.

I also have a Chase Southwest Airlines Priority card. A few questions:

* If I want to book Southwest airfare using my Sapphire Reserve points, is it OK to use the Sapphire Reserve points portal to do so -- or would I want to transfer points from the Sapphire Reserve over to the Southwest card first, and then book that way? Does one end up saving me more than the other, or will it all shake out to roughly the same in terms of points?

* I went to book a hotel within the CSR portal and it shows everything in terms of the number of points it would take, which makes sense... however, I saw there's also $500 credit to use towards The Edit, and $250 for Chase Travel hotels. I guess my question is -- what's the best way to go about this... I'm assuming I'd want to use my Edit and Chase Travel Hotel credits first, before using my points, right? If so, how do I filter search by those *without* applying my points -- in other words, how can I just search for in-network hotels (e.g. chase travel hotels) and charge to my card to receive the credit? It seems like it defaults to using rewards points, and I wasn't sure if there was a way to filter search by those that qualify for the credits.

* I saw someone in another thread talk about using the Freedom Unlimited card (which I also have) to stack points faster and than transfer them to the Sapphire reserve card... can someone explain this for me and how I should be approaching this?

Any other tips or tricks i should know to maximize my benefits and points?

Where should I go to find a reliable, insured pet sitter that can do overnights?

I've heard Rover isn't always ideal? I'm new to all this -- have a senior dog and cat, both with specific medical needs and want to find someone trustworthy who can stay in my house overnight when I'm gone.

Is there a particular website or screening method I should be aware of -- how can I find a reliable and trusted sitter?

Hey all, does anyone know if the 5pm closing hour is a hard cut-off for Living Desert or do they allow people to roam later? If I show up around 4pm do you think they’d let me in there until around 6? Trying to plan around airport itinerary. Thanks!
